Pleasantview 7/19/20

Today we're visiting the Gieke family.  I've mentioned before that the Giekes are another branch of plant sims apart from the Brutys and Picasos.  Unlike the Brutys and Picasos, however, the Giekes became plant sims completely naturally.  Chester married Sarah, a former townie, and they hac three children together.  They were really into gardening and had a large number of plots and fruit trees.  Chester was my first ever plant sim in game and his wife followed soon after.  Their children (Dexter, Olive, and Jan) were teens at the time and they too ended up becoming plant sims and immediately aged to adult, which I don't think can even happen anymore due to some patch or other, because I've never again had a teen become a plant sim, despite actively trying.  At some point in time I decided that the Giekes would run a nursery in order to supply the town with fresh produce.  I built a lot with a huge greenhouse and moved everyone in to run a home business.  I had each member of the family have one plant baby each to keep the family going.  Sarah had already passed on by this time, but Chester ended up having one more plant baby, Martha.  Eventually I got bored with the produce business and decided to integrate the family back into Pleasantview.  We already met Myra a couple of days ago; she's the daughter of Olive.  We haven't yet met Jan's son Marvin, but he'll be coming up in the near future.  Most of the rest of the Gieke clan live together on the lot we'll visit today.  Barney is the son of Dexter and he's very old.  I wasn't even sure if he'd live through this round, but he did.  Barney's daughter Agnes also lives here and is in a relationship with Martha's son Eugene (who is Barney's cousin, but technically not related to Agnes).  Agnes has a son, Oliver, and Eugene has two daughters, Myrtle and Phyllis, and together they have a non-plant daughter Audrey, who was born this round.  As if that was already complicated enough.  Agnes' son Oliver and Eugene's daughter Myrtle are also in a relationship and have a non-plant son together, Edgar, who is also still an infant.  If you're lost, don't feel bad, it's terribly confusing even for me.  At some point the family will need to split because the household is bursting at the seams right now.

Happy Simming!
