Pleasantview 5/31/26

Calista Copur (see PV 8/21/25) got a promotion at work, and had the intention of inviting some people over, but her work schedule interfered with her plans, so she opted for a good night's sleep instead.

Frances Worthington (see PV 8/21/25) got a promotion and worked on skills; Marion went out with some friends.

Almeric Davis (see PV 8/21/25) got a promotion but, unfortunately, most of his bonus had to go towards buying a new bed for Hope, who grew up this round, so the rent remains unpaid.  The new baby will arrive next round.

The Ottomas twins, Eliza and Gideon, settled into their new apartment, had some friends over, and both found the jobs they wanted.

Checo Ramirez (see PV 8/21/25) has, at long last, passed away at the age of 70.  He didn't always have the easiest life - he had to work very hard to get his furniture business up and running, which caused his first marriage to suffer and end in divorce.  He did, however, remain close to his two children, Tessa and Clarence, as well as his stepson Rusty; sadly, he won't get the chance to meet his youngest, who won't be born till next round.  Farewell Checo.

Pleasantview 5/30/26

Nick Broke and Yvette Kim moved into their new home and decided to finally tie the knot.  Nick got a promotion and two of the three girls grew up, eldest Kiara into a teen (with a LTW for Slacker) and youngest Veronica into a toddler.  They also adopted a kitten to keep Marie company.  The only fly in the ointment is that Yvette still has not found a job in Journalism.

Lois Tellerman (see PV 8/18/25) gave birth to a baby girl who she named Ashley (side note: Ashley's father Joshua Ruben now has two daughters named Ashley, neither of whom he'll be raising; this was an oversight on my part, but hey, at least they have different last names!)  Luckily for Lois, Cheryl also grew into a child this round, so she'll still just have one baby to deal with.  She made some (minimal) progress on cleaning up the house but still has a long way to go.  She'll have plenty of vacation time to work on it, but financially that's not ideal, especially since she had to shell out money to furnish Cheryl's bedroom.  She really needs to get back to work, though I don't know if that would really help her since she's always in a terrible mood and would be more likely to get fired than promoted.

It looks like Cole and Brittany Long have been played in their new home for a day already, but I didn't write about them for some reason?  Idk what happened, here's their update for this round:  the (somewhat) controlled chaos continued with both parents having the day off, but still barely keeping up with childcare, pet care, and household chores.  Cole did manage to earn one skill point he needs, teach Kane to study, and bathe the dog, while Brittany potty trained Justin, but was too tired to work on her master's.  Their fourth child is due next round.

Russell Broke (see PV 8/19/25) scored a promotion at work, while Logan and Trudi spent the day at home doing housework and, in Trudi's case, resting up for the impending birth of their baby daughter, Traci.  Russell completed the next part of his degree and worked a bit on skills; Trudi was unable to make any progress on either.  I decided on a career in Journalism for Gigi, primarily because she has a Knowledge secondary, but also because both her parents have been struggling for most of her life, trying to balance working in Athletic careers, trying to earn their degrees in order to pursue Journalism, and simultaneously raising a family.  I feel like they'd want her to take the "easier" path of going to Uni, obtaining her degree, and going straight into Journalism, rather than follow the circuitous route they've undertaken.

No sooner had Marie and Andrew Gergis moved into their new home, than they decided to expand their family, both with a new cat and a new baby.  Andrew went to work, got a skill point he needed, and finished his GED; he'll start working on his degree next round.

Laura Tellerman (see PV 8/19/25) got into SSU and, with a scholarship and a little (very little lol) help from her mom, was able to pay for the first semester.  Claire will continue saving up for her own degree while trying to add to Jesse's and, eventually, Nolan's college funds as well.

Zena Dreamer (see PV 8/19/25) spent her day off on household chores and skilling, while Nevada went shopping with some friends (she has three bolts for Lawson Shahan!)  Incidentally, she rolled the LTW to top Intelligence.

A lot was going on at the Rusewicz home (see PV 8/20/25).  Jace took another vacation day and tried making some medicine, but it doesn't seem to have helped his condition.  The twins had a birthday party, aging up to teens.  They both have the LTW to top Culinary, despite being quite different in personality - I guess they're like opposite sides of the same coin?  Anyway, in the middle of the party, Nancy gave birth to a baby girl, Wendy.  She was also able to get her Athletic job back, so she can get back on track now.  Next round, Marshall will finish high school and, perhaps, go off to college.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 5/29/26

Hayden and Demi Butler moved into their new home in Pleasant Valley.  They had enough money to minimally furnish the place, but they both earn decent salaries, so it shouldn't be too long before it's finished.  Hayden will be retiring next round, and Tristan will grow into a child.

Allyn Shahan (see PV 8/13/25) became a vampire since last round - not ideal, but not as bad as some others, soooo...?  She still needs a lot of skill points for her next promotion, so it'll be a while on that.  Now that there's room at Briarwood, Lawson's want for private school has rolled away.

Jonah Powers (see PV 8/13/25) had the day off.  He cleaned up his place, went out with some friends, and got a pet womrat.

Marla Gothier (see PV 8/14/25) took a vacation day to care for Anton and had her first pop.  Orlando got promoted at work and Anton grew into a child.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 5/21/26

Tina Traveller (see PV 8/8/25) had a date with Michael Gray this round, which ended in a lullaby.  Since she and Michael both rolled wants for marriage, that will be happening fairly soon, though Michael will need to be played first to keep aging in sync.  In other news, two kittens were born, shipped off to the pet adoption pool, and another litter is on the way.

Kurt and Chris Sims recently moved to a house in Pleasant Valley, where their family has a little more room to grow.  Their third child will soon be born, and they adopted a second puppy.  Oldest child Kurt grew into a teen and rolled the LTW of topping Military, which is one I don't get too often.  Xavier will take his final vacation day before switching to a career in Business at long last.

Darcy Broke (see PV 8/8/25) had a productive round.  She had purchased a pet at the pet store, which turned out to be a little dog called Alia; she later adopted another kitten (Penny) as well.  She spent some time with her brother Armando at the fitness hobby lot, finally achieving her want to max body points and, upon returning home, finished her latest Inspector Hugh Ever novel - "Hail to the Chief".

Aiyana Gray (see PV 8/13/25) asked her boyfriend, Toby Bruenig, to move in with her and he accepted.  It's a good deal for him for sure, given how broke he was.  Michael moved out to marry Tina Traveller, Jeannie tried unsuccessfully to find a job in Dance, Dante and Harper went to school and did homework, and the dogs wreaked havoc on the house.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 5/20/26

Luc Young (see PV 8/7/25) has been pretty lonely recently and, consequently, he decided that the time was right to add another member to the family.  He filed an application to adopt a child and, since he raised three children more or less on his own (all of whom are now in college) and earned a sizable amount of money in his career at the same time, the adoption agency felt he'd make an excellent parent to a poor little orphan sim.  It wouldn't have been my first choice for him, but he meets all the requirements, so I'm on board with the plan.

Marion Carr (see PV 8/7/25) became a vampire since the last round, so I built a little loft above the garage for her coffin.  She's not very good at being a vampire, however, and got out several times during the day, nearly killing herself just moments before her cat arrived home from work with the final promotion needed to grant Marion her LTW of getting six pets to the top of their careers.  In the end, she survived, and rolled a new LTW for Oceanography, for which she'll need a GED, a degree, and a master's degree.  Luckily, she now has plenty of time to work on her education goals.

Elise Bruty (see PV 8/7/25) spent a quiet day at home and threw a small party for a few close friends in the evening.  She went to bed early and got a good night's sleep.

Father and son bachelors Brandon and Bruce Tellerman (see PV 8/7/25) both earned promotions and both had successful dates, though neither decided to move in with their lady friends.  Brandon did, however, roll the want to get engaged to Andrea Larson.  She's not quite on board; I think she caught him cheating in the not too distant past and, while she agreed to a date, she refused a goodnight kiss and did not roll many wants for him.

Amy Broke (see PV 8/7/25) had no sooner got settled back into her childhood bedroom, than she was turned into a vampire.  It's going to make life difficult for her, especially given her desire to pursue an Athletic career, but she's trying to roll with the punches, just as her mother has always done.  Annabeth has reached retirement age and will now be running out her vacation time before she finalizes her retirement.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 5/11/26

Andrew Ottomas (see PV 8/6/25) survived another round!  He only has a sliver left on his bar, but that's good enough for him lol.  David moved back in and immediately had a date with one of his many love interests.  He wasn't able to find a job in Adventure, but there's no rush, as the family has plenty of money.

Ryan Jacquet (see PV 8/7/25) went out with friends and did chores around the house.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 5/10/26

Chloe Cox (see PV 8/6/25) got a promotion at work and later in the evening Jackson grew into a toddler.  Christian is still using up vacation time before switching careers, so he was home with the kids all day.  Now that Jackson is more mobile, they'd like to get him out of their bedroom and into a room of his own, so they've decided to buy a house in Pleasant Valley.  Chloe's sister lives there and they'll have a lot more room to breathe without kids and pets always underfoot.

Ty Bubbler (see PV 8/6/25) got a promotion at work, which means he has enough money to pay his regular bills that are coming due next round, but will in no way be able to make his student loan payment.  Also, if his rent goes to collection before he goes to work, he will be looking at eviction.  He may be able to move in with a friend, but if that's not feasible, his only options will be Las Casas Baratas (which is only slightly cheaper that what he's paying here with a roommate) or the homeless shelter.  There's also a slim possibility that his date that is coming up next round will result in a love connection that transitions to a "moving in together" situation right away.  So, things are a bit up in the air for Ty at the moment - I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Happy Simming!
