Nick Broke and Yvette Kim moved into their new home and decided to finally tie the knot. Nick got a promotion and two of the three girls grew up, eldest Kiara into a teen (with a LTW for Slacker) and youngest Veronica into a toddler. They also adopted a kitten to keep Marie company. The only fly in the ointment is that Yvette still has not found a job in Journalism.
Lois Tellerman (see PV 8/18/25) gave birth to a baby girl who she named Ashley (side note: Ashley's father Joshua Ruben now has two daughters named Ashley, neither of whom he'll be raising; this was an oversight on my part, but hey, at least they have different last names!) Luckily for Lois, Cheryl also grew into a child this round, so she'll still just have one baby to deal with. She made some (minimal) progress on cleaning up the house but still has a long way to go. She'll have plenty of vacation time to work on it, but financially that's not ideal, especially since she had to shell out money to furnish Cheryl's bedroom. She really needs to get back to work, though I don't know if that would really help her since she's always in a terrible mood and would be more likely to get fired than promoted.
It looks like Cole and Brittany Long have been played in their new home for a day already, but I didn't write about them for some reason? Idk what happened, here's their update for this round: the (somewhat) controlled chaos continued with both parents having the day off, but still barely keeping up with childcare, pet care, and household chores. Cole did manage to earn one skill point he needs, teach Kane to study, and bathe the dog, while Brittany potty trained Justin, but was too tired to work on her master's. Their fourth child is due next round.
Russell Broke (see PV 8/19/25) scored a promotion at work, while Logan and Trudi spent the day at home doing housework and, in Trudi's case, resting up for the impending birth of their baby daughter, Traci. Russell completed the next part of his degree and worked a bit on skills; Trudi was unable to make any progress on either. I decided on a career in Journalism for Gigi, primarily because she has a Knowledge secondary, but also because both her parents have been struggling for most of her life, trying to balance working in Athletic careers, trying to earn their degrees in order to pursue Journalism, and simultaneously raising a family. I feel like they'd want her to take the "easier" path of going to Uni, obtaining her degree, and going straight into Journalism, rather than follow the circuitous route they've undertaken.
No sooner had Marie and Andrew Gergis moved into their new home, than they decided to expand their family, both with a new cat and a new baby. Andrew went to work, got a skill point he needed, and finished his GED; he'll start working on his degree next round.
Laura Tellerman (see PV 8/19/25) got into SSU and, with a scholarship and a little (very little lol) help from her mom, was able to pay for the first semester. Claire will continue saving up for her own degree while trying to add to Jesse's and, eventually, Nolan's college funds as well.
Zena Dreamer (see PV 8/19/25) spent her day off on household chores and skilling, while Nevada went shopping with some friends (she has three bolts for Lawson Shahan!) Incidentally, she rolled the LTW to top Intelligence.
A lot was going on at the Rusewicz home (see PV 8/20/25). Jace took another vacation day and tried making some medicine, but it doesn't seem to have helped his condition. The twins had a birthday party, aging up to teens. They both have the LTW to top Culinary, despite being quite different in personality - I guess they're like opposite sides of the same coin? Anyway, in the middle of the party, Nancy gave birth to a baby girl, Wendy. She was also able to get her Athletic job back, so she can get back on track now. Next round, Marshall will finish high school and, perhaps, go off to college.
Happy Simming!
