BACC 3/30/21

Lot #2 on Kahua Island is occupied by the Hastings family.  Albert Hastings and his two children, Adrienne and Hunter, were my first three CAS earned.  Albert built a small house, started a business, and married a townie named Michelle (don't remember her original last name).  Most of his income, however, came from digging for treasure (still does, to be honest lol).

As of this round, Adrienne is an adult who took the available position in Architecture, Hunter is a teen, and Albert and Michelle welcomed a son named Wyatt who became a toddler by the end of the round.  With everyone helping out with the treasure hunting, Albert was able to finish building his business lot, as well as make some improvements to the home lot.  His business is called Crescendo and it's a music venue lot.  It's basically an outdoor concert area, with a stage and musical instruments, as well as a picnic area.  Since the requirement for unlocking the Music career is to place a lot with a stage and at least three musical instruments, Crescendo fits the bill.  As a result, there are now an unlimited number of positions in the Music career.  At the end of the round Michelle took one of those positions, which will help with family funds.

Also during this round, Adrienne invited over Davon Kekahi and they fell in love and both rolled the want to get married.  I guess Davon has made his decision.  Next round, I'll move Adrienne in with Davon, which probably means moving Makala and Ryan out, since there's only one master bedroom.  We'll see how that turns out.  While the loss of income is not great for the Hastings, they could really use the room.  Wyatt will grow up next round and Albert really wants to have another baby.

The Hastings family paid $4,645.00 in taxes, bringing the total to $37,057.00.

Current stats:

Playable sims: 15
SM: 3
Population: 45
Residential lots: 4 (soon to be 5)
Owned Community lots: 5
Unowned Community lots: 1
CAS earned: 6 (3 added)

Business: One position available, pending the construction of an "office building".

Culinary: One position available, filled by Ryan Wheeler.

Law Enforcement: One position available.

Music: Unlimited positions available, due to the placement of the music venue Crescendo.  One slot is filled by Michelle Hastings.

Natural Science: One position available, pending a sim earning a college degree.

Architecture: One position available, filled by Adrienne Hastings.

Next up will be Markus and Marsha Kekahi.  Happy Simming!

BACC 3/28/21

It was a busy week at the founder's house.  It took some time for me to get back into the swing of things, but I think the Kekahi family made some progress.  Makala jumped right into running both Keanu's General Store and Lei Fleur.  She ran into a few snags along the way, however, like when the manager of Lei Fleur (Meadow Thayer, who is playable) unexpectedly quit.  She did manage to rehire her after a couple of days, but it was tough to run the place without help, especially since Marylena passed away early in the week at age 74.  Since there's no cemetery yet, Marylena's urn rests on the bedside table in the master bedroom.  Keanu's should be on the other side, but I think one of the teens smashed it last time I played, so I placed a decorative urn there in its place.  Towards the end of the week, Davon grew into an adult and I had Makala pass the general store to him.

On the romantic front, I had assumed Makala would remain single for life, but she surprised me by falling in love with Ryan Wheeler.  I moved him in and they married at the end of the week.  I'm not moving them out just yet because there's really no need at the moment.  If Davon gets serious about someone, they can always move out later.  For now there's plenty of room, even with the baby on the way (Makala immediately rolled the want for a baby and I obliged her since she doesn't have time to waste), so there's no rush.  Ryan already had a job in Culinary, which I have one slot available in, so I let him keep it.  If he reaches the top of the career, it will be completely unlocked and anyone in town will be allowed to take that job.  The twins plugged along, working at their brother's restaurant and pretty much being glued to each other's side, until the very end of the week when Kalen decided to make a move on townie Ivy Copur.  They fell in love and Kalen wants to propose.  Marina, however, is not happy about this development at all.  She and Ivy spent a great deal of time harassing each other; they're well on their way to becoming enemies.  Marina is going to be very upset if her twin marries Ivy, but the heart wants what it wants, right?

For those of you familiar with the BACC, you know that one of the ways to obtain a university is to take a 5% tax from each household each week for the purpose of eventually paying for a uni.  I've expanded this just a bit.  I require my sims to pay 5% of the value of, not only their home lot, but also the value of their business lots.  Also the community funds are not just for building a university, rather the cost of ALL unowned community lots comes out of this budget.  Of course, you must have four sim households for every unowned community lot you add, so there are fewer of these.  At the moment, the only unowned lot I have is a police/fire station combo, which is a self-imposed additional requirement I added to the unlocking of the first Law Enforcement position and allowing of burglar/smoke alarms.  This was inspired by the fact that many of the other careers require a specific type of lot to be present in order to unlock them.  I thought it only made sense for there to be a police station in order for there to be police officers and a fire department in order for there to be firefighters.  I did, however, combine them because, let's face it, they're not actually useful in any way game-wise.  All that being said, the Kekahis added $9227.00 to the community funds this round, bringing the total up to $32,412.00.  The next thing I plan to "build" is a neighborhood office building decoration, which I'm not counting as a lot, since it's not a lot, but which I'm requiring in order for sims to work in the Business career.  I've decided the cost of the "building" will be $100,000 and it will be placed in the new Business District, even though technically the Business District is not unlocked until someone tops Business.  To stay in keeping with the rules, I will not take the rewards for building the Business District (+5 SM & +5 CAS), nor will I allow anything else to be built there until I have a Business Tycoon.

My stats have not changed since last post (Marylena died, but Ryan moved in, so pop remains unchanged), if anyone is interested in which jobs have been opened up, this is what I have so far:

Business: One position available, pending the construction of an "office building".  This is thanks to Keanu's General Store reaching rank 10.

Culinary: One position available, which is filled by Ryan Wheeler.  This position is due to The Snack Shack reaching rank 5.

Law Enforcement: One position available, due to there having been three fires in sims' homes/businesses.

Natural Science: One position available, due to Le Fleur reaching rank 5.  This one isn't particularly useful, however since no one can take the position without a degree.

Architecture: One position available because there are 10 lots in the neighborhood.

That's all I've got for now.  Next up will be the Hastings family.  Happy Simming!

Build a City Challenge 3/25/21

Today I am picking up my BACC, which I haven't actually played for a couple real life years.  It took quite a bit of time to review all the rules and refresh my memory as to how I was doing things.  I didn't make great notes the last time I played, so I'm still not sure where I was going with some of the families, but it'll either come back to me or I'll wing it lol.  I didn't actually get to playing a lot, but I'll take this time to introduce you to my founding family and clue you in on the minor rules changes I made to the traditional BACC (I only made it harder, trust me).

For my city, I decided to go with a Hawaiian island sort of feel.  There are beach lots and it's a relatively small 'hood template.  I named it Kahua Island and my founder was called Keanu Kekahi.  He opened up Keanu's General Store, which sells a number of different things: groceries, clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, fish, baked goods, and a few small toys.  He married townie Marylena Hamilton and they had six children: Markus, Makala, Brenna, Kalen, Marina, and Davon.  Kalen and Marina are twins.  Keanu has passed on now and Marylena is not long for this world either.  Markus owns a restaurant called Snack Shack.  He married Marsha Bruenig and they live on their own lot - no kids yet.  Makala is still single and living at home; she owns a flower shop called Lei Fleur and will take over the store from her mother when she dies.  Brenna owns Hulu a Lomi Day Spa and just got married to Orlando Centowski and moved out.  I'll be building them a house and they'll get played later on in the round.  Kalen and Marina have only recently aged to adulthood; they work as employees at Snack Shack.  Davon is a teen; he helps out at the store, but doesn't have an official job.

I think most people are pretty familiar with the BACC, but for those who aren't, the basic goal is to start with a blank neighborhood and a single sim, who will build/populate an entire city.  There is a lot of building required and a LOT of planning because there are rules about how to unlock the ability to work in the different careers.  I originally printed the rules out from a post by PnkPnthr334 on boolprop.com, but I couldn't tell you where to find them now.  I'm sure they're still floating around out there if anyone wants to peruse them.  Suffice it to say that many things depend on the number of lots you have and what kind of lots they are.  The Sim Multiplier is also very important.  This is the number you use to determine your city's population (you multiply it by the number of playable sims you have) and it is increased by building stuff.  I'll try to explain in more detail as I play through, but for those of you familiar with the challenge, my current stats are as follows:

Playable sims: 14
SM: 3
Population: 42
Residential lots: 4 (will be 5 soon)
Owned Community lots: 5
Unowned Community lots: 1
CAS earned: 6 (only 3 have been added in though)

I'll be playing the founder's household for a sim week, so I'll update periodically as I go through.  Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/24/21 #2 Latte Legacy

I got a little extra play time today so I decided to finish Round 4 with the Lattes.

The Lattes (see PV 1/3/21) had a quiet round.  Joy earned a few hundred bucks at the cafe, Caffe turned 60, Peter and Crystal spent most of their time cooking, cleaning, and caring for baby Jocelyn.  Until all the Gen 3 kids are born, I'm trying not to spend too much money on the house because Joy's not earning much each day with her needs tanking constantly.  I want them to save as much as possible to actually buy the shop.

And that ends Round 4 in Pleasantview!  It's been 9+ months since I started playing in Pleasantview and, I don't know about you, but I'm ready for something different.  I've decided to play my Build a City Challenge starting tomorrow.  Until then, Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/24/21 Alpha Legacy

The Alphas (see PV 1/3/21) were super busy this round because I built the extension onto their shop adding in a makeover station, as well as cases/shelving for produce, fish, and bakery items.  Charity will be doing makeovers in addition to pottery now.  Curtis added fishing to his robotics and Danica will be tackling the gardening (with some help from the butler), as well as continuing flower arranging.  Since Betty has 10 cooking points, she'll be adding baking to her list of responsibilities (she's already got painting, sewing, and toymaking, plus the actual running of the shop).  When Danica marries, her husband will take two of Betty's jobs.  Speaking of Danica's marriage, I was on the lookout this round for any male townies with "D" names.  The family knows the slob, whose name is Damion, and a cop named Daniel already.  I prefer Damion genetically, since he's blonde, but I happen to know that he's romantically involved with at least two playable sims, which isn't necessarily a deal breaker, but I don't like to have my legacy family get involved in Pleasantview drama, so it would complicate matters as I'd need to have him break things off with the other sims.  Daniel doesn't have any such complications as far as I know, but he's more difficult to connect with, since in PV I can't call service sims, so the only to get him over is to put him in a group and invite him over.  I'm leaning towards Damion at the moment, but we'll see what happens.  Some new townie could show up that I like better.  Next round, we have the birth of Coral's puppies to look forward to (please be normal!) and hopefully we'll get the bakery section up and running as well.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/23/21

Charles Grundstrom (see PV 1/2/21) had to work this round (no promotion), but Chloe had earned a vacation day, so she stayed at home with Robert and worked on walking and potty training.  Next round Chloe will have her regular day off, so hopefully Charles will get the promotion then.

Alan Korman (see PV 1/2/21) didn't have much going on this round.  He had the day off, didn't have any outings planned, and didn't have the money to add to his kids' college funds.  He slept through the day and hung out with some of his neighbors at night, but nothing particularly interesting to report.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/22/21

Today we're visiting the homeless shelter (see PV 1/1/21):

Melissa Fancey finally has enough money saved up to move out of the shelter.  Dalton got a promotion which helped to push them over the top.  They'll be moving into City Center Lofts, which admittedly isn't any more glamorous than where they are now, but at least they'll have a modicum of privacy.

Ricky Cormier found his Culinary job at long last and started his first day this round.  He didn't get promoted, and he'll be off next round, so it's a bit of a slow start, but at least he's on the right track now.

Monica Bratford unfortunately got demoted due to poor work performance that wasn't even her fault.  There was a glitch with the carpool and she ended up having to walk to work in broad daylight.  Oh well, at least she didn't get fired.

Alvin Broke did not get a promotion, but he likely will the next time he works.  He's probably relieved that Shane moved back home with his parents because he really couldn't stand that guy.

Newcomer Dale Futa moved in after 6 pm (as he'd already been played at the orphanage this round) and got a temporary job in Military.  He'll be looking for Law Enforcement, but I think Military is a good fit in the meantime - similar skills and good pay.

Andrzej Greaves got a back chance card that docked his pay for the day.

Moon Broke got a good chance card that landed her a promotion.  Technically, she could probably afford to move out at this point, but since her cousin Blaze is set to inherit Miley Futa's mansion when he graduates college and he would naturally invite Moon to move in with him, it seems smart for her to stay here where she doesn't have to pay any bills and just bank all her cash until that day arrives.  She's already used to communal living, so I don't see it being too much of a hardship for her here.

End homeless shelter.

Sage Dreamer (see PV 1/2/21) had another day off which spent with friends at the gaming hobby lot.  Back at home she tried to rest up and recover from her illness, but she wasn't very successful.  She went off to work at 6 am in not the greatest of moods.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/21/21

Jared Starchild (see PV 12/31/20) had the day off again.  He cleaned up his place, bathed the dog and taught him to play dead, chatted with a friend on the phone, and gained a cleaning point for his job.

Allegra Phoenix (see PV 12/31/20) had the day off, so she was on toddler patrol all day while Jimmy was at work.  She spent the whole day being in a terrible mood and didn't manage to teach them any toddler skills except working on potty training, but the twins were in good spirits by the time Jimmy came home.  Jimmy took over so that Allegra could get some rest and was able to get at least a little work in on walking with Dexter, as well as working on the body points he needs for work.  Next round Jimmy will take a vacation day so that Allegra can work, though we might be seeing her get arrested and sent to prison as well.

Bryce Futa (see PV 1/1/21) got a promotion at work, went out for coffee with a friend, and spent the rest of the evening working on his GED.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/20/21

Morgan Alpha (see PV 12/30/20) spent her last day of maternity leave sleeping.  In the evening she threw a party, but slept through most of that as well.  Somehow she still got a "not bad" rating.  Just as the party was ending, she went into labor and gave birth to a baby boy, who she surrendered to the orphanage as planned.  She didn't find a Natural Science job, but I think she's looking forward to getting back to "normal life" next round.

Martin Dreamer (see PV 12/30/20) ran his business today and made a pretty decent profit.  He's close to another level up as well.  Greg got a promotion and then invited his other brother Brad over for a visit.

Ashley Pitts (see PV 12/31/20) had the day off, so he went down to Red's to try to meet some ladies.  He hung out with Ivy Bruty for quite a while before heading back home, where he invited over some friends.  With all his socializing, he never got around to working on those body points he needs.

Happy Simming!

Friday, March 19, 2021

Pleasantview 3/19/21

Emily Lee (see PV 12/28/20) worked, called a friend to chat, and skilled, yet she's still one point and one friend short of her next promotion.  Next round she'll have the day off, so hopefully she can get everything in order.

Jasper Roseland (see PV 12/29/20) was home sick all day, but he did invite some friends over to keep him company.  He still hasn't found a job in Music and if he doesn't find it next round I'll have him take something else in the meantime.

Jasmine Rai (see PV 12/29/20) got a bad chance card which cost her $2000.  In addition, Gunnar got robbed while on an outing at the park.  Consequently, even with Gunnar's promotion and Jasmine's income, they ended up with less money than they started with by the end of the round.  Not to mention, they were both sick and throwing up all day.  It wasn't a great round for them.

Calvin and Noah Latte (see PV 12/29/20) both received promotions at work and then they had some unsatisfactory (for me, because they both are interested in elderly women) dates.  They're doing ok financially and I think it'll be no trouble for them to make the rent in a couple days.

Jessie Pilferson settled into her new home at Village Condos this round.  After a promotion at work, she was able to afford a computer so she could keep looking for a job in Music, but it didn't come up this time.  She went out with friends to celebrate and came home in a platinum mood, which should help her get another promotion next round.

Kevin Beare (see PV 12/30/20) did not get promoted this round, but he did finally get the mechanical point he needs, so maybe next round.  He had a date with Heather Huffington that went really well, though she's living with someone else, so probably not much future there.

Caryl Grundstrom (see PV 12/30/20) got a promotion and invited her dad and brothers over to celebrate.  Unfortunately, she still has not found a job in Business.

If you're wondering why this post is so long - it's because half of these updates should have been posted yesterday, but I forgot to actually post it.  So I decided to just post one long update today.  Happy Simming!

Wednesday, March 17, 2021

Pleasantview 3/17/21

Things were a bit chaotic for Will Bruty and Quinn Leong (see PV 12/28/20) this round.  They both worked and got promoted.  Then they both needed dates; Quinn continued his affair with Kaylynn Ottomas, while Will asked out the landlord Elle Long.  Both dates went well.  The twins grew into adults, with Anna rolling a LTW for 50 First Dates and Ella rolling Music.  Since Anna matches with Gaming, that's what I'll have her pursue.  Both girls will need GEDs before entering these careers, however, and Will can't afford that right now.  He did manage to buy a sun lamp though.  He also decided to spawn another plant baby - a boy this time, named Ben.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/16/21

Guy Wrightley (see PV 12/27/20) had the day off from his job and took the opportunity to throw a building party, which went quite well.  He a met a few neighbors he hadn't met before and built on already established relationships.  Afterwards, he went downtown to run his business and ranked up to level 7.

Ben Tellerman (see PV 12/27/20) also threw a building party, but despite it somehow being a success, he didn't actually talk to anyone except Calvin Latte, who called him on the phone.  At work he got a bad chance card which got him demoted.  He then spent the rest of the night sleeping and throwing up from his mysterious disease.  Not a great round for Ben.

Both Phineaus Furley and Roxie Sharpe (see PV 12/28/20) worked this round and, though neither got promoted, they did earn enough between them to make a full payment on Phineaus' student loan.  Roxie spent a long while studying and earned two cooking points, but she still has a long way to go.  Like most Family sims, Phineaus is thinking about marriage, but like most Romance sims, Roxie is definitely not on board for that.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/15/21

Mark Grundstrom (see PV 12/26/20) was the only one to work this round and, having been newly turned into a vampire, he ended up going to work in a terrible mood which resulted in a demotion.  Lexie got the logic point she needs and Delilah found a Military job after midnight.  Also, their puppy Bram grew into the cutest little dog I've seen in a while in my game.

It was a busy day for roommates Joel Hanby, Chaz Whippler, and Tom Freshe (see PV 12/26/20).  They all worked, but none got promoted because they were short skills.  Upon returning home, it was date night and they all scored dream dates with their chosen ladies, but none decided to move in together.  The boosts from their dates energized them enough to work on skills.  Chaz was finally able to earn that body point he needs, so he should get promoted next round, which he really needs since he still doesn't have a bed of his own to sleep in and he couldn't make a full payment on his student loan (the other two made full payments).  Joel and Chaz are still short on skills, but they have next round off to work on them.

Arianna Bruty (see PV 12/26/20) did not get all the skills needed before going to work this round, but it turned out fine because she got a good chance card that promoted her to the top of her career.  Woohoo!  Her new LTW is to Marry off six children, which is not likely to happen honestly, but it means she'll stay in the Culinary career until retirement.  Zoe spent her day cleaning and caring for Jeannie, who grew into a child this round.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/14/21

Eric Landgraab (see PV 12/24/20) had the day off again.  He was sick all day and didn't do much.  Sadly his cat died, but at least it prompted some of his neighbors to come inside and hang out with him for a while.  One of them gave him a contact for a friend of theirs, so he might just be able to make the friends he needs for his job fairly soon.

Meredith Landgraab (see PV 12/25/20) remembered to take vacation this round.  Jessie had the day off, which he spent working on his degree and stargazing.  Whitney had an outing with friends, which ended in her crushing on Alvin Lothario.  Colton grew into a teen and rolled the LTW to top Journalism.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/13/21

The Sims family (see PV 12/23/20) had another quiet day at home.  Kurt played with Jeff Copur, who lives upstairs, Chris slept during the day, and Xavier finished his degree for Business, but did not find a job in Business yet.  Baby Jada will grow up next round.

Castor and Jane Nova (see PV 12/24/20) both had the day off.  Jane finished her masters degree and Castor had some friends over, then spent time skilling for his next promotion.

Matthew Hart (see PV 12/24/20) did not get promoted, but he did earn enough money to make a payment on his student loan, making at least a little headway on that.  After work he had a date with Jessie Pilferson, who he'd really like to move in with, but she likes her freedom and isn't ready to settle down.  William had a date with Blossom during which they decided to move in together.  Whether that was because Stella had already decided to cut him loose and move on with someone else or because he truly wants to be with Blossom is anyone's guess.  It's good timing too because Stella happened to be on the lot when they returned from their date and slaps were had all round.  After moving in, Blossom wasted no time in getting pregnant.  She's been wanting to move forward with this relationship forever and now that they're officially a couple, she's pushing full steam ahead.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/12/21

The roommates (see PV 12/22/20) had a pretty eventful round.  Klara had been turned into a vampire since last round, so she had to spend some of her savings for a coffin.  Luckily she got a promotion at work, which helped to replenish her money.  Blossom also got promoted.  Both women maintained the status quo on their relationships.  Stella did not get a promotion, but she did have a whirlwind romance with Professor Erik Tomyoy and they decided to move in together.  I guess she got tired of waiting for William to commit.  Stella also ended up pregnant, but she and Erik are not ready for parenthood, so they've decided to give up the baby once it's born.

Shanna Copur's family (see PV 12/23/20) spent a quiet day at home.  Sarah earned a few hundred bucks with financial consulting, while everyone else took it easy.  Phillip has a non-job related LTW so I matched him with Artist, which needs a degree, so I locked in his want to attend college.  Next round Shanna's shop will be open again.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/11/21

The Shahans (see PV 12/22/20) all had the day off from work/school.  Elise still wanted to go to private school and, now that there's room, she was able to go.  She'll be played there next round.  Baby Jackson grew into a toddler before she left and Meadow got right to work on toddler skills.  She also rolled the want to adopt another baby, but since Amy is too old they won't be allowed to do so.  Their relationship is on pretty shaky ground, however, so if they break up that could be an option for Meadow someday.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/10/21

I thought Patrick Wong (see PV 12/21/20) would get promoted this round, but he didn't.  His brother Devin did, however, maybe because he works at night?  Apart from work, they didn't have much going on.  They called and chatted with a couple friends and just chilled in their apartment.

Pamela Broke (see PV 12/21/20) had the day off again.  She took it easy and hung out with some other sims in the building, then did some cleaning in the apartment.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/9/21

I was hoping Elise Seifert (see PV 12/21/20) would get one last promotion before her maternity leave started, but no such luck.  Looks like they'll be struggling to pay the rent again.  They have been succeeding on toddler skills though.  Calvin learned walking and talking this round.  In other news, apparently Cooper has begun an affair with Marion Carr since last round and she stopped by unexpectedly.  They were (just barely) able to keep things under wraps until Elise left for work, but if she keeps hanging around it'll only be a matter of time before Elise catches them.

The Brutys (see PV 12/21/20) were on a roll this round.  Everyone got promoted, Michelle twice!  She was able to buy a computer and get started on her GED so she can switch to a career in Music.  On the personal front, she was less lucky, however, because she's gotten involved with Goopy GilsCarbo.  Not sure if she's hoping for a future with him, but she's definitely just another conquest for him.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/8/21

Liam Bruty (see PV 12/20/20) got his final promotion to Celebrity Chef this round, rolling a new LTW to Woohoo 20 sims, which should be easy now that he's a vampire.  Plant vamps are not too hard to care for, but I'm not sure I like Liam enough to want him around forever.  Oh well, it is what it is.  Liam becoming a vampire was probably a bitter pill for Mia to swallow, given she became an elder this round.  He was already younger than her and now he's stopped aging completely.  Yikes.  Liam's daughter Caryl had the want to attend private school this round and they have plenty of money, so it was not a problem.  She'll be moving into Girls Dorm B with Madison, Katrina, and Violet.

On the alien lot (see PV 12/20/20) it was time for Lysandra to leave for college.  She'll be attending SSU and moving into Pinenut Plaza Dorm, where she'll study psychology for a future career in Business.  Robi decided on his own to stargaze and I was hopeful he'd get abducted, but no such luck.  He did roll the want to earn another logic point though, so I locked that in for next round.  I'm also toying with an idea that came to me while playing this lot.  I think I might want to transform this lot into a STEM school, though I'd still like to have aliens here as well.  I'll be thinking on that for a while to figure out how I can work it out.  More to come on that.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/7/21

Sabastian Broke (see PV 12/19/20) had the day off, which he spent skilling, earning one of the two points he needs.  Geoffrey did a little skilling before and after work, but still fell short of earning even one point.  Damon didn't have any friends to invite over, but he hung out with his brother Richard for a while and then got caught up on homework.

Riley Ottomas (see PV 12/19/20) took her final vacation day and then retired from her Music career.  Mira Leong had the day off, which she spent cleaning up after her dog and working on her masters.  Braden Dreamer was out of vacation time and had to return to work.  He looked for a Gaming job after midnight, but it still didn't come up.

The plant sim lot was uneventful.

Pleasantview 3/6/21

Brian Donnelly (see PV 12/18/20) threw a party this round which turned out to be a surprisingly good time for everyone.  The landlord threw one of his building wide pizza parties at the same time, so they just brought the pizza in for their own party.  Free pizza - score!  Aaron invited Jeannie to the party and asked her to go steady, which she accepted.  This put him in an excellent mood for work and he got promoted.  While they're hanging in there financially at the moment, when Aaron leaves for college (hopefully) in a couple of days, Brian will be losing not only his second income, but also his babysitter.  It'll be tough for him.

Brandon GilsCarbo (see PV 12/18/20) had a pretty good day.  He had a date with Sasha Dreamer, which grossed me out, but he enjoyed it.  Then he went off to his job, where he got promoted.  He came home to find his dad had moved in with him and was romancing a woman in his bed, which was not the highlight of his day, but later on his dad's lady friend set him up on a blind date with a townie woman, who is not only age appropriate, but for whom he has three bolts.  On top of that, he also found a job in Music after midnight!  Things are looking up.

Pleasantview 3/5/21

Dagmar Grundstrom settled into her new home Downtown.  She invited her son Roger over for a visit and he ended up staying all night just hanging out and watching sports with her.  I spent a lot of time thinking on what her source of income should be.  Since her LTW is to have a Golden Anniversary, which she can never achieve due to being a vampire who will never become an elder (actually I may let her change her aspiration to reroll the LTW), her only career guidance is her hobby/interests.  Her hobby is sports, which connects to Athletic or Journalism, and her interests line her up with Law, but I really don't feel any of those for her.  I think what I might do for now (though it may change if I change her LTW) is just have her take whatever job she's qualified for that has nighttime hours and then switch jobs anytime she gets put on a day shift.  Might be fun for a while.  In between jobs she has a telescope and an easel that she can earn a little cash with as well.  I think she can get by for now.

Delilah O'Feefe (see PV 12/18/20) finally made the decision to marry Edwin.  However, she decided to sow some wild oats with Mitch first and one of those "oats" took root.  That's right, Delilah is now pregnant with Mitch's baby and newly married to Edwin.  It makes for interesting storytelling, does it not?  Did Delilah find out she was pregnant and then decide to marry Edwin and pass the baby off as his?  Or did she get married and then find herself expecting without knowing who the father is?  I love the drama.  I'm going to keep Mitch living here for now, since everyone is technically still getting along (Mitch was asleep when Delilah and Edwin got married and celebrated their wedding night, so he hasn't experienced any jealousy), but it remains to be seen how all this plays out.  In other news, they all worked and all got promoted, but Delilah still did not find the job she wants.

DJ Verse (see PV 12/18/20) got a promotion at work, but unfortunately, Calista did not so they're still working opposite shifts.  They were, however, able to make a sizable payment on DJ's student loan.  They might even be able to pay it off next time it comes due.  If they ever decide to expand their family, they'll need a bigger place, but for now their tiny one bedroom will do just fine.

Max Flexor moved into his new home this round.  I'm sure he was glad to get out of the homeless shelter and into a place of his own.  He went out with a couple friends in the morning and then worked in the evening, earning a promotion.  He'll need to save up for a masters degree because he wants to work in Politics, though he is allowed to go ahead and start working in that career if it comes up.  For now he's doing well in Law Enforcement though.

Pleasantview 3/4/21

This round was pretty similar to the last for Sophie Young and Eric Parker (see PV 12/17/20).  Eric worked during the day, while Sophie studied cooking because she wanted to max a skill.  In the evening, while Sophie was at work, Eric invited some friends over and finally earned his logic point.  Criminal still hasn't come up for Sophie.

Clarence Ramirez (see PV 12/17/20) proposed to his girlfriend Tracy this round and they got married right away.  I'm happy about this because I like that their baby will now have Clarence's last name.  Clarence went off to work, got promoted, came home and went out with his mom and a friend, then worked on skills for his next promotion.  Tracy mostly just took care of her needs and tried to rest up before the baby is born next round.

Calvin Dreamer (see PV 12/17/20) slept all day and then had a dud of an outing in which only one of his friends showed up.  On the bright side, he did finally find a job in Entertainment and followed up with some financial consulting, which I'd forgotten he could do.  Guess I didn't really have to be all that worried about his financial situation after all.

Pleasantview 3/3/21

Jan Tellerman (see PV 12/16/20) worked, then had a date with Xavier Sims which ended with her bringing him back to her place.  She aged up to elder rather gracefully and spent the rest of the night skilling for her job, yet still did not acquire all the points needed.

At the House of Fallen Trees (see PV 12/16/20) both Matthew and Maura got promoted and brought home friends from work.  Almost all the kids also brought home friends from school, so I guess they're getting right on that lack of friends problem.  Next round Trinity will be ready to age up to adulthood.  I'll have one of her parents turn her before she heads off to college.  Whether she stays at Uni or drops out will depend on what she wants and/or if she has enough scholarship money.  Her parents will not be contributing to her education.  If she doesn't attend Uni, she'll probably move in with her two older brothers until she figures out what she wants to do with her life.

Stacy Landgraab (see PV 12/17/20) had a pretty terrible day.  She wanted to win a cooking contest and she was set to have an outing with her mom, so I thought I'd send them to the cuisine hobby lot and kill two birds with one stone.  I had Stacy prepare lobster, but her mom distracted her in the middle and it got burned, so she had to redo it.  She entered the lobster in the competition, but was so tired by this point that she walked away from the contest just seconds before being declared the winner, which meant she did not get the prize money, nor did she fulfill the want to win the competition.  She then spent the next few hours alternating between napping and eating before heading home in an awful mood.  It took quite a while to get her back in the green, but she survived.  Andrzej, meanwhile, had the day off, which he spent working on Lane's toddler skills.

Pleasantview 3/2/21

AJ Broke and company were just settling into their new penthouse apartment at Cornerstone Condos this round.  It was quite a lot to get done, with furnishing/decorating everything, AJ running his cafe, and Gloria and Xander deciding to get married, but I did finally get it all done.  Took forever though.  Gloria had the day off, but Xander worked in the evening.  He was short a creativity point though, so no promotion.  He got that done when he returned.  AJ invited Savannah over and Gloria invited some friends too, but most of them couldn't make, so she spent most of her day hanging out in the hot tub.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 3/1/21

Nerissa and Rose Gregory (see PV 12/16/20) didn't have much going on this round.  Nerissa had the day off and while Rose was at work, she invited over some friends and made another conquest of Daisy Tang.  Rose did not get promoted despite having everything she needed and very good work performance.

That's all for today.  I got a late start because we had an incident with a snake trying to come in the sliding glass doors.  Long story.  Florida!  We'll be headed Downtown tomorrow.  Happy Simming!
