As I suspected last time we visited the Ramirez family (see PV 7/20/20), Tessa and Toby broke up this round. Their relationship just wasn't going anywhere and it was time to move on. Before he left Toby finished his online degree and got a job in Oceanography. He'll still need to work on his masters degree when he gets settled into his new apartment (coincidentally next door at the Pleasant Vista Apartments). Tessa also had some career success this round when Ramirez's Fine Furniture became a level 10 business. Her final business perk was $10,000 cash (randomly selected). When Lisa found out her daughter and Toby were splitsville, she immediately invited over her boss at the bookstore, Daniel Larson, and another friend of hers, hoping to fix Tessa up. Tessa chatted with them for a bit, but ultimately went to bed early. We'll have to wait to see if anything comes of Lisa's plan.
The Giekes (and Brad) had a pretty quiet round (see PV 7/21/20). Brad worked during the day and got a promotion. He had a date with his married girlfriend and then worked on his masters the rest of the night. Vyn and Marvin cared for the twins all day, working on their toddler skills. In the evening, Marvin went to work, but didn't get promoted because he's short a friend. Vyn probably wished Brad was short a friend because the old guy he brought home from work was super creepy with the babies. He would not leave them alone for a second; as soon as they were awake and not occupied by one of their parents, he was right there trying to cuddle and tickle them. It made the whole Jacob/Renesme thing seem sweet by comparison. Finally he left and everyone breathed a sigh of relief, except Brad of course who hadn't noticed a thing.
Back in the home of Wyatt Picaso and Noelle Dennis (see PV 7/21/20) I spent a lot of time redecorating the house because, as I mentioned previously, it was pretty bare bones for anyone but a plant sim. We went with a sleek, modern, black and chrome minimalist look, but contrasted it with sunny yellows and oranges. I think it turned out nicely. Noelle is on maternity leave, but Wyatt had to work. He still needs a few more skill points for his promotion. I forgot to invite Noelle's son Marcel over to give him his college money, so I'll just double up next round.
Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/20/20
Tamara Fuchs (see PV 7/20/20) had the day off today and took the opportunity to leave her younger kids with her older kids and head downtown. At the sculpture park she met and ultimately hooked up with Renaud Delarosa. She tried for baby, but didn't get pregnant. Meanwhile, her sons took care of the baby, supervised Joy's play date, bathed the dog, cleaned up the house, and Parker even got a job to help out with the family's finances. Lucky for Tamara she has those two.
So much went down with Stephen Tinker (see PV 7/20/20) this round I don't even know where to start. I guess we'll go in order. It was Monday this round which meant Stephen needed to run his business, so he headed out to the appliance store. While he was there he invited the twins by to give them their college money. He nearly got the shop to level six, but not quite. Upon returning home, paid the rent and decided he wanted to adopt another kitten to keep Casper company (the new kitten is named Dunn). Also, per the new rules, Stephen and Lynn decided to get married. Since it was obvious this would be Stephen's last day on Earth, it was basically a deathbed marriage. Less than an hour after they completed their simple vows, Lynn went into labor and gave birth to - you guessed it - TWINS! Whenever I have a sim who doesn't have the space/money for twins, that sim will always have twins. So obviously, a woman who lives in a one bedroom apartment, is about to be an elder, and whose husband is literally going to die in five minutes is a prime candidate to become the mother of twins. Anyway, they named the babies Adam and Lana and Stephen got to spend a few hours with them before he died at the age of 70, leaving his business to his new wife and a significant amount of life insurance money to 12 people in total. Lynn got nearly $30,000 between her amount and the twins', each of Stephen's older twins got $10,000, and even Melody got $8000. Not sure if Stephen's other daughter got anything, but she probably did. Lynn's first order of business will be to get a bigger apartment/house stat.

Pleasantview 9/19/20
When we last visited the Gieke household (see PV 7/19/20) Barney was nearing the end of his life. This round he did pass on and everyone is the house immediately rolled the want to resurrect him. Sadly I don't allow that here, so they'll all just have to get used to Barney's absence. Apart from that, we had a lot of outings, though after yesterday's crash, I just had the outings at home. That was nearly as bed, however, because their house is tiny and putting that many people in it created severe traffic problems. Afterwards they celebrated Edgar's birthday (he's now a toddler); I thought Edgar and Audrey were the same age, but I guess she's a day younger and will age up next round. Eugene got a promotion, but none of the dogs did. Oliver adopted a third dog to help with his "pets topping careers" aspiration. I think that's everything. This house is absolute chaos all the time.
Paige and Lee Bruty (see PV 7/20/20) had a fairly productive round. Paige had the day off and spent her time taking care of the dog, as well as adopting a puppy and a kitten (she and Shay had the wants). Lee went to work, then worked on a logic point. The twins had group outings, which I combined into one big outing since they had some friends in common. Shay brought a friend home from school, which is nice because he doesn't have too many friends. Finally, under the new rules, plant babies are out for this couple, however adoption is allowed for them and they decided to adopt a baby who will arrive next round. Nicole briefly rolled the want to attend private school, which I considered in light of the new baby (space is limited in this house), but when it rolled away I took it as a sign she wasn't serious and added on a small nursery.

Pleasantview 9/18/20
Not much was happening with Lauren Todd and Demi Landchild (see PV 7/17/20) this round. Everyone had the day off, and since Sunday is for child play dates, they mostly just hung around dancing, playing with the animals, and making messes (Lauren and Demi are both werewolves, so they make a lot of messes). Hayden is not super neat either, so their place is kind of a pig sty at the moment. They might want to think about a maid.
Zoe Picaso (see PV 7/17/20) had an uneventful round as well. She had the day off and no social event, so she cared for the dogs and taught them skills. The oldest dog passed on; the one who ran away was not returned. That was about it.
Myra Dreamer (see PV 7/17/20) and her family made minimal progress this round. Ethan had the day off, but did make some money busking while on an outing with friends. Caryl got a job and earned a small amount. Myra sold some fruit from her tree. Pansy (the cat) got fired from her job, so made nothing. Altogether...maybe $200? On top of that, Ethan decided it was time to become a parent and so fathered a plant son, who he named Taylor. Next round will hopefully be better, as Caryl earned the logic point needed for promotion, Ethan will go to work, and Myra will be able to sell a cat who will grow up next round.
Russ Bear (see PV 7/18/20) was on his own with his daughter this round. He adopted a second puppy and brought in a nanny to watch Robin while he was stargazing. He attempted a group outing, but most of his friends were unavailable, so it ended up just being him and one townie guy he knows.
I started playing the Giekes, but the game crashed when Agnes was returning from her outing. I didn't feel like loading back up, so I'll continue playing them tomorrow and do their update then. Until then, Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/17/20
Buffy Summers (see PV 7/16/20) was back to hunting this round. She went to Lucky Shack where she encountered Patrick Wong and eventually (he cried a lot) was able to win a fight against him. Since it was her first time meeting him, this is only the first strike against him. Buffy will need to defeat him twice more to take him out permanently. Next she fought Brianna Larson, but wasn't as lucky with her and got defeated herself. Brianna has zero strikes and Buffy cannot hunt for two days. I swear, at the rate I keep getting new vampires, Buffy may never actually kill one because she never seems to meet the same one twice.
Caryl Tellerman (see PV 7/16/20) earned nearly $1100 at her music shop this round. Her boyfriend Scott had the day off, so he stayed home with Billy while Caryl was at the store. Besides being pregnant, he's also sick with the mysterious disease, so he didn't get a lot accomplished, but did manage to earn the charisma point he needs for his job. He still needs a mechanical point as well. Billy had a play date with his only friend, Steven Ottomas, but met Stone Todd walking by and hung out with him a bit too.
Last up, Alyssa and Chase Picaso (see PV 7/17/20). Alyssa had the day off today and spent her time caring for Troy and doing household chores. Chase went to work, but didn't earn a promotion because he was short a cleaning point. Upon returning home, Chase got the point he needed, but unfortunately won't be returning to work for several days. In the evening, Troy grew up into a toddler and Chase started right away on teaching him to walk. Next round, Alyssa will finally get back to work after several days off and I expect she'll get her last promotion to Celebrity Chef.

Pleasantview 9/16/20
Amar and Melanie Kim (see PV 7/14/20) were in for a big surprise this round. The day started off normally. Melanie left for work and Amar took care of some household chores and tried to work on a creativity point (he refused to stay on the violin for any length of time). In the afternoon, he left for work and Melanie returned home a short time later with a promotion. As soon as Amar came home from work, I sent him to the telescope to get the logic point he needs and he was immediately abducted. The lullaby sounded upon his return home and he went straight back to the telescope to finish up that point, only to be abducted for a second time! Talk about overkill. He did get the point at least. He still wouldn't play the violin long enough to get that point, so it'll have to wait until next round. An alien baby is always exciting news to me, however it's a little bittersweet this time because, per the new rules, couples can give up unexpected babies if they roll accordingly*, and that's exactly what the Kims decided. So as soon as this little one is born he/she will go to the orphanage.
Sharlene and Joe Graham (see PV 7/15/20) decided finally to tie the knot this round. And to celebrate their nuptials they decided to also have another baby. Claire will likely return home soon as well, so their house is filling up quickly. Jessica will be out of the nursery by the time the new baby is born and will probably share the basement bedroom with her sister Claire, leaving one small upstairs bedroom for Randall when he's old enough. I'm kind of hoping for another boy, so he can be Joe Jr., but we'll see.
Orphanage Unit One (see PV 7/15/20) still has a full contingent of kids.
Anthony Tellerman now has an A average which means he just might get his want to go to college if he keeps up with his grades.
Dale Futa's average climbed to a C, allowing him to keep his job and earn another $45 to add to his savings.
Maya Tellerman's grade dropped to a C- due to incomplete homework. She earned $45 at her job.
Olivia Landgraab's average dropped to A-. She'll be a teen next round.
Mari Alpha's average climbed to an A-. She'll also be a teen next round.
Kyra Broke's grade is now a B-. She'll become a teen in three days.
Caregiver Michelle became best friends with co-worker Derek Vijayakar and still has a crush on him, but they have not yet fallen in love.
At Orphanage Unit Two (see PV 7/15/20) Merlin Patch acquired a new charge: Beck Tellerman.
Jeremy Landgraab is a child with a C average. He didn't have school this round, so spent most of his time socializing with the other kids.
Beck Tellerman grew into a toddler this round. He'll be a child in three days.
Caregiver Merlin remains friendly and professional with all his co-workers. He has no love interest.
Kenny Ottomas (see PV 7/16/20) slept all day, had a few drinks, soaked in the hot tub, got scared by a ghost dog, and went back to bed. Next.
*Under the new rules relationship statuses and having children are decided by dice rolls that are weighted based on a sim's aspiration. Family and Popularity sims are more likely to want marriage/children, whereas Pleasure and Romance are less likely (Fortune and Knowledge are 50/50).

Pleasantview 9/15/20
The Kim household (see PV 7/13/20) was fairly calm this round. Both businesses are closed on Sunday, so they didn't have to worry about that. Justin spent most of his day doing financial consulting on the computer. Alon invited his children over to hand out college money and spent the rest of his day doing household chores. Charlene prepared lunch for the various children running around the house, bathed one of the dogs, then headed off to work where she was promoted. Marcel was supposed to have a play date, but he doesn't really have any friends, so none of the kids he invited would come over. He settled for talking to them on the phone and greeting one boy that walked by the house. He spent his evening teaching one of the dogs commands she needs for her job and he talked his dad into getting another puppy, which is just what this family needs.
Kirby Bruty (see PV 7/14/20) didn't have much going on this round, but then again he never does. His LTW is to have six grandchildren (he has one so far), so he doesn't really have a concrete goal to work towards; he just has to wait for his kids to have kids. Consequently he spends the majority of his day playing poker with whoever drops by (today it was his son Liam). Sometimes he wins a little money, sometimes he loses. In any event, it's not a lucrative career choice. Luckily, other family members have stable incomes. Both Gladys and Dale got promoted today which was very helpful. Since it was Sunday, Joshua just hung around the house all day with Kieran, who was supposed to have a play date, but due to just aging up last round, he doesn't know any other children yet.
Over at the Swain household (see PV 7/14/20) things were pretty quiet as well. Tina had the day off and spent it skilling. Erik worked, but didn't get promoted because he was short a body point. Shortly after returning home, it was time for Katrina's birthday. Once she aged to child, Erik immediately rolled the want to send her to private school. Since they have plenty of money and are both career oriented it made sense that they'd want their daughter to have the best possible education so I sent her right off to Briarwood Prep. I guess they won't need that addition just yet, as a bedroom just opened up.
Happy Simming!
