Since we last checked in with Amelia Pearson (see PV 8/1/20), she has gained a grandchild and lost a daughter. Poor dear has had so much loss in her life. Luke and Delia did decide they wanted to move in together, however there's not enough room to fit everyone in, so it'll have to wait until Amelia dies. They had to settle for a date. In other news, Luke sold the adult dog he had and adopted another kitten. Next round the other cat will grow up, getting Luke to 13 puppies/kittens raised. Also, the twins grew into toddlers this round, while Juliet remains a child.
Sorry for the short update, but I'm running short on time today. Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/29/20
When last we checked in with Belinda Alpha (see PV 7/31/20) she had just moved her new girlfriend in. This time they decided spontaneously to get married, which probably annoyed Belinda's ex, Amy, considering they were together a very long time and Belinda always refused marriage until ultimately Amy left her for someone who did want marriage. It probably won't last long in any event, given that Rebecka may end up going to jail and Belinda is getting pretty old. Bryan went to work, had an outing with some guy friends, and booty called Meadow Todd. It was a pretty good day for him actually.
Toby Grundstrom's household (see PV 7/31/20) was a little less chaotic than usual, though there were some developments. For one, Roger grew into a teen with the LTW to marry off six kids. I'll work out his job next round. Also, Melody and Marcus' baby was born, a son they named Lucas. It looks like we may have a split soon as Dagmar and Toby have not been getting along lately. Dagmar is almost ready to call it quits. We'll see what she decides next round.
The Jones/McCullough clan (see PV 7/31/20) was pretty quiet this round. Under the new rules, Darlene and Phil could choose to have children, but they decided against it for now. Ryker and Audrey could choose to have some kids as well, thought they'd have to adopt as Audrey is too old to have children. They also decided against it; I think they like their lives the way they are. Everyone was home all day since Ryker and Darlene had the day off, Audrey was taking her last vacation day before switching to a Business career, and Phil hadn't found his job yet. In a stroke of luck, both Audrey and Phil found the jobs they wanted after midnight. In addition, Darlene rolled the want to become a werewolf and her father wanted to bite someone, so he turned her. Shortly thereafter, Phil also rolled the want, but they all turned back before anyone had the chance to bite him. I locked it in for next round.

Pleasantview 9/28/20
Wanda and Gabe Smith (see PV 7/29/20) received their new bundle of joy this round, a girl they named Ruby. Everyone in the family dotes on her. Also, thanks to a small inheritance Wanda received from her late ex-husband Stephen, they were able to pay everyone's college funds. Unfortunately, near the end of the day, their cat Tom decided to go on a diet and ended up getting himself and the dog Buster taken away. They could only afford to buy Buster back, and will have to get Tom back asap next round.
Ella Ottomas (see PV 7/30/20) had the day off and spent it painting. In the evening she had an outing with a couple of friends and her mother Lila. She met a few new people who may eventually become the friends she desperately needs for her job.
Katie Tellerman (see PV 7/30/20) worked her last day today, as she reached retirement age this round. She went out with some friends to celebrate. Meanwhile, Ericka graduated high school and headed out to La Fiesta Tech. She skipped her last day of school and hung out with friends at the local coffee shop. Ericka doesn't need a degree for her LTW, but she wants to have the college "experience".
Patrick Davison (see PV 7/30/20) will definitely die before the dog, so it looks like old Kyser will become a placeholder until I find someone to move in. I'm thinking one of Andrew Ottomas' kids? The former owners of the house were Lisa and Amin Sims; Lisa was Andrew's sister, so it might make sense to move one of her nieces or nephews in.

Jessie Larson (see PV 7/28/20) still lives!! I thought she was a goner for sure this time, but nope, she's 82 and still hanging in there. Jessie ran her gallery today and spent some time getting to know her granddaughter who recently moved in with her mother after Brooke and Luke broke up. Brooke's other children remain with their father. If you're keeping track, that's three of Jessie's children now living back home with her: Daniel (who never left actually), Brianna, and Brooke. The other two, Mason and Alyssa, are in prison and college, respectively. Daniel's business was closed today, so he hung around the house enjoying his day off. Brianna managed to get to work and back without burning up in the sun, so that's a win for her. She worked on her charisma during the night, but is still about a half point shy of that final promotion. Brooke went to work in the evening and would've been promoted, but she got a bad chance card that cost her a body point. She got the point back upon returning home. Brooke's daughter Sabrina needed to have a play date, but the only other child she knows is her sister Juliet, so she invited her over. Brianna's daughter Kiara also came by, so at least that was something.
Tosha Go (see PV 7/29/20) was slightly more interesting than usual. She had an outing with friends this round and actually socialized with them a little bit. She spent a good while chatting with Stuart, who is the only one of her friends who is still a townie. They have one bolt and may end up having a date at some point. Tosha's only current love interest is a married man. Back at home Tosha adopted a kitten and played on the computer for a while until the sun came up.

Hailey Cox and Evan Dreamer (see PV 7/27/20) had their hands full this round with all three boys aging up. Hunter became a teen (Family/Knowledge) and rolled the LTW to top Oceanography. Noah became a child and Brendan became a toddler and rolled a 20 (out of 20) which means he gets smart milk during toddlerhood. Hailey didn't have much time to work on sports and though Evan went to work, he didn't get promoted because he needs several skill points. Consequently, they didn't have the money to contribute to college funds this round.
Megan Broke (see PV 7/27/20) had the day off so she didn't have to worry about going out into that pesky sun. The boys hung around all day, enjoying their last day of teenhood. They both graduated high school, Jason with an A+ and Travis with a B. Jason will be attending Academie Le Tour next round, while Travis will be living at home and looking for a Slacker job.
That's all for today. Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/25/20
Over at the Andersen/Landgraab household (see PV 7/25/20), Naomi ran her business, getting it to rank 4 and earning over $900. Her baby will be born next round I think. Holly took care of Hope (who became a toddler this round) and the pets. Her pets will reach adulthood next round and she'll trade them in for two more puppies/kittens. Mallory had the day off so she worked on her degree, finishing part one and beginning part two.
Solveig Bachman and company (see PV 7/25/20) spent an uneventful day at home, as they were all off work and had no social events this round. Solveig spent some time skilling for her LTW. Todd is sick with the mysterious disease and spent most of his time in the bathroom.
Lakshmi and Evan Broke (see PV 7/26/20) were in for quite a wild ride this round. It started off with the normal chaos of potty training toddlers, feeding/bathing pets, supervising Ricky's play date, and handing out college funds to the kids who don't live with them. Then it all took a turn and they ended up breaking up. They've been on the verge for a while and it all just came to a head this round. Evan moved out immediately, leaving the children in Lakshmi's custody, and will be moving in with Heather Broke, who he's been having an affair with for some time. If you're keeping count, that's three failed marriages for Lakshmi and two for Evan.
The Greaves' household (see PV 7/27/20) runs like clockwork. Jonathan and the girls go off to work/school in the morning, while Demi sleeps in and then does some chores around the house. Demi leaves for work at 1:00, just as Kylie is returning home from school. Kylie calls in the nanny and leaves for work at 2:00. The nanny arrives in time to watch Emily from 3:00 to 4:00, when Jonathan gets home from work and dismisses her. Emily plays with the friend she brought home from school for a few hours, then does her homework. Kylie returns home at 6:00 and wants to have an outing with some friends, but no one is available so she settles for doing her homework and scrubbing some toilets for the cleaning point she needs for work. She then prepares dinner for the family, just as Demi is returning home from work. The girls go to bed after dinner and Jonathan and Demi clean up and work on teaching the cat a command he needs for work. What a difference between this house and the one above, lol.

Pleasantview 9/24/20
Sasha Dreamer's house (see PV 7/24/20) was full of the usual drama. She had a peaceful day spending time with her new granddaughter, while the guys were at work and Donna was asleep. The guys went right to sleep upon returning home and Donna headed off to work. However, as soon as she got home it was open season on her mom. Donna's not the nicest individual under normal circumstances, but when she's pregnant she's insane. It was all slapping and poking until Sasha went to bed to get away from her. She then proceeded to have an argument with Orlando as well before finally putting everyone out of their misery by going to bed herself. Never once did she interact with her daughter, I might add.
Tosha Futa (see PV 7/24/20) went to work and then had a girls' night out bowling with some of her friends. While she was out the only guy she met was Justin Kim, who I certainly won't wish on her. They only chatted briefly, so I don't see things going anywhere with that, thank goodness. Blake rolled his LTW finally and it isn't good. He wants to be a Criminal. Tosha will be heartbroken. At least he won't be entering that career until his reaches adulthood (unless he rolls the want to get a job and that's what randomly gets selected). He briefly wanted to go to private school, but then he skipped school to hang out with his only friend and the want rolled away. It's always the quiet loners that turn into bad seeds, isn't it?

Pleasantview 9/23/20
Over at the commune (see PV 7/23/20) we have a new member, Sam Thomas. Since I knew I'd be needing a new gardener soon, I went ahead and assigned that to Sam so that she can learn the ropes from Chelsea while she's still around. Since Melody inherited some money from her father (Stephen Tinker), the commune is in good shape monetarily, so I loosened the reins a bit this round and let them try different activities from the ones they are assigned. Kelly did some painting, Lynn fished with some walkbys, and Brittany made a plate on the pottery wheel.
Pretty uneventful round for Lisa and Shawn Wong (see PV 7/24/20). Lisa had the day off and spent most of her day doing financial consulting. Shawn went to work, but didn't have the cooking point he needed for a promotion. Later, while Lisa slept, he finally got that point and will be ready when he returns to work.
River and Meadow Todd (see PV 7/24/20) both had the day off today. Meadow slept late in preparation for a long night of stargazing to earn logic points for her job. River mostly hung around making messes, though he did bathe the dog at least. Stone tried to have a play date, but no one would come over, so he settled for talking to them over the phone.

Drake Dreamer (see PV 7/22/20) decided this round that he'd like some puppies, so he bred his dog with Rhonda's. Bethany tried really hard to get those final skills she needed for her last promotion, but she didn't make it in time. I sent her in to work anyway in hopes of a chance card promotion, but that didn't happen either. Now she has days off until she reaches retirement age, so she won't be making it to Celebrity Chef unfortunately. Rhonda is having more career success, having already topped one career and being well on her way to topping a second with her promotion this round. She also finished up her masters degree for Medicine.
The Lotharios (see PV 7/22/20) had an uneventful round. The shop was closed, so Randy didn't have anything to do with his day. Heath was, of course, asleep all day. Alvin spent some time teaching one of the dogs skills for her job. The other dog died. Heath spent some time standing in a hail storm and I became curious to see if he'd die from it, but it stopped and he was fine.
Zack Tellerman (see PV 7/23/20) spent a quiet day at home with his pets (he decided to adopt another puppy after the oldest dog died), using up his last vacation day. He'll now continue to work and take any vacation days that come immediately until he reaches retirement age, which is honestly only a few days away. Jenna slept all day then went out to her hobby lot (the nature one) to look for a date. She found a willing bartender there named Bill. They had an okay date and Jenna went home to work on her bug collection.

Pleasantview 9/21/20
As I suspected last time we visited the Ramirez family (see PV 7/20/20), Tessa and Toby broke up this round. Their relationship just wasn't going anywhere and it was time to move on. Before he left Toby finished his online degree and got a job in Oceanography. He'll still need to work on his masters degree when he gets settled into his new apartment (coincidentally next door at the Pleasant Vista Apartments). Tessa also had some career success this round when Ramirez's Fine Furniture became a level 10 business. Her final business perk was $10,000 cash (randomly selected). When Lisa found out her daughter and Toby were splitsville, she immediately invited over her boss at the bookstore, Daniel Larson, and another friend of hers, hoping to fix Tessa up. Tessa chatted with them for a bit, but ultimately went to bed early. We'll have to wait to see if anything comes of Lisa's plan.
The Giekes (and Brad) had a pretty quiet round (see PV 7/21/20). Brad worked during the day and got a promotion. He had a date with his married girlfriend and then worked on his masters the rest of the night. Vyn and Marvin cared for the twins all day, working on their toddler skills. In the evening, Marvin went to work, but didn't get promoted because he's short a friend. Vyn probably wished Brad was short a friend because the old guy he brought home from work was super creepy with the babies. He would not leave them alone for a second; as soon as they were awake and not occupied by one of their parents, he was right there trying to cuddle and tickle them. It made the whole Jacob/Renesme thing seem sweet by comparison. Finally he left and everyone breathed a sigh of relief, except Brad of course who hadn't noticed a thing.
Back in the home of Wyatt Picaso and Noelle Dennis (see PV 7/21/20) I spent a lot of time redecorating the house because, as I mentioned previously, it was pretty bare bones for anyone but a plant sim. We went with a sleek, modern, black and chrome minimalist look, but contrasted it with sunny yellows and oranges. I think it turned out nicely. Noelle is on maternity leave, but Wyatt had to work. He still needs a few more skill points for his promotion. I forgot to invite Noelle's son Marcel over to give him his college money, so I'll just double up next round.

Pleasantview 9/20/20
Tamara Fuchs (see PV 7/20/20) had the day off today and took the opportunity to leave her younger kids with her older kids and head downtown. At the sculpture park she met and ultimately hooked up with Renaud Delarosa. She tried for baby, but didn't get pregnant. Meanwhile, her sons took care of the baby, supervised Joy's play date, bathed the dog, cleaned up the house, and Parker even got a job to help out with the family's finances. Lucky for Tamara she has those two.
So much went down with Stephen Tinker (see PV 7/20/20) this round I don't even know where to start. I guess we'll go in order. It was Monday this round which meant Stephen needed to run his business, so he headed out to the appliance store. While he was there he invited the twins by to give them their college money. He nearly got the shop to level six, but not quite. Upon returning home, paid the rent and decided he wanted to adopt another kitten to keep Casper company (the new kitten is named Dunn). Also, per the new rules, Stephen and Lynn decided to get married. Since it was obvious this would be Stephen's last day on Earth, it was basically a deathbed marriage. Less than an hour after they completed their simple vows, Lynn went into labor and gave birth to - you guessed it - TWINS! Whenever I have a sim who doesn't have the space/money for twins, that sim will always have twins. So obviously, a woman who lives in a one bedroom apartment, is about to be an elder, and whose husband is literally going to die in five minutes is a prime candidate to become the mother of twins. Anyway, they named the babies Adam and Lana and Stephen got to spend a few hours with them before he died at the age of 70, leaving his business to his new wife and a significant amount of life insurance money to 12 people in total. Lynn got nearly $30,000 between her amount and the twins', each of Stephen's older twins got $10,000, and even Melody got $8000. Not sure if Stephen's other daughter got anything, but she probably did. Lynn's first order of business will be to get a bigger apartment/house stat.

Pleasantview 9/19/20
When we last visited the Gieke household (see PV 7/19/20) Barney was nearing the end of his life. This round he did pass on and everyone is the house immediately rolled the want to resurrect him. Sadly I don't allow that here, so they'll all just have to get used to Barney's absence. Apart from that, we had a lot of outings, though after yesterday's crash, I just had the outings at home. That was nearly as bed, however, because their house is tiny and putting that many people in it created severe traffic problems. Afterwards they celebrated Edgar's birthday (he's now a toddler); I thought Edgar and Audrey were the same age, but I guess she's a day younger and will age up next round. Eugene got a promotion, but none of the dogs did. Oliver adopted a third dog to help with his "pets topping careers" aspiration. I think that's everything. This house is absolute chaos all the time.
Paige and Lee Bruty (see PV 7/20/20) had a fairly productive round. Paige had the day off and spent her time taking care of the dog, as well as adopting a puppy and a kitten (she and Shay had the wants). Lee went to work, then worked on a logic point. The twins had group outings, which I combined into one big outing since they had some friends in common. Shay brought a friend home from school, which is nice because he doesn't have too many friends. Finally, under the new rules, plant babies are out for this couple, however adoption is allowed for them and they decided to adopt a baby who will arrive next round. Nicole briefly rolled the want to attend private school, which I considered in light of the new baby (space is limited in this house), but when it rolled away I took it as a sign she wasn't serious and added on a small nursery.

Pleasantview 9/18/20
Not much was happening with Lauren Todd and Demi Landchild (see PV 7/17/20) this round. Everyone had the day off, and since Sunday is for child play dates, they mostly just hung around dancing, playing with the animals, and making messes (Lauren and Demi are both werewolves, so they make a lot of messes). Hayden is not super neat either, so their place is kind of a pig sty at the moment. They might want to think about a maid.
Zoe Picaso (see PV 7/17/20) had an uneventful round as well. She had the day off and no social event, so she cared for the dogs and taught them skills. The oldest dog passed on; the one who ran away was not returned. That was about it.
Myra Dreamer (see PV 7/17/20) and her family made minimal progress this round. Ethan had the day off, but did make some money busking while on an outing with friends. Caryl got a job and earned a small amount. Myra sold some fruit from her tree. Pansy (the cat) got fired from her job, so made nothing. Altogether...maybe $200? On top of that, Ethan decided it was time to become a parent and so fathered a plant son, who he named Taylor. Next round will hopefully be better, as Caryl earned the logic point needed for promotion, Ethan will go to work, and Myra will be able to sell a cat who will grow up next round.
Russ Bear (see PV 7/18/20) was on his own with his daughter this round. He adopted a second puppy and brought in a nanny to watch Robin while he was stargazing. He attempted a group outing, but most of his friends were unavailable, so it ended up just being him and one townie guy he knows.
I started playing the Giekes, but the game crashed when Agnes was returning from her outing. I didn't feel like loading back up, so I'll continue playing them tomorrow and do their update then. Until then, Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/17/20
Buffy Summers (see PV 7/16/20) was back to hunting this round. She went to Lucky Shack where she encountered Patrick Wong and eventually (he cried a lot) was able to win a fight against him. Since it was her first time meeting him, this is only the first strike against him. Buffy will need to defeat him twice more to take him out permanently. Next she fought Brianna Larson, but wasn't as lucky with her and got defeated herself. Brianna has zero strikes and Buffy cannot hunt for two days. I swear, at the rate I keep getting new vampires, Buffy may never actually kill one because she never seems to meet the same one twice.
Caryl Tellerman (see PV 7/16/20) earned nearly $1100 at her music shop this round. Her boyfriend Scott had the day off, so he stayed home with Billy while Caryl was at the store. Besides being pregnant, he's also sick with the mysterious disease, so he didn't get a lot accomplished, but did manage to earn the charisma point he needs for his job. He still needs a mechanical point as well. Billy had a play date with his only friend, Steven Ottomas, but met Stone Todd walking by and hung out with him a bit too.
Last up, Alyssa and Chase Picaso (see PV 7/17/20). Alyssa had the day off today and spent her time caring for Troy and doing household chores. Chase went to work, but didn't earn a promotion because he was short a cleaning point. Upon returning home, Chase got the point he needed, but unfortunately won't be returning to work for several days. In the evening, Troy grew up into a toddler and Chase started right away on teaching him to walk. Next round, Alyssa will finally get back to work after several days off and I expect she'll get her last promotion to Celebrity Chef.
Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/16/20
Amar and Melanie Kim (see PV 7/14/20) were in for a big surprise this round. The day started off normally. Melanie left for work and Amar took care of some household chores and tried to work on a creativity point (he refused to stay on the violin for any length of time). In the afternoon, he left for work and Melanie returned home a short time later with a promotion. As soon as Amar came home from work, I sent him to the telescope to get the logic point he needs and he was immediately abducted. The lullaby sounded upon his return home and he went straight back to the telescope to finish up that point, only to be abducted for a second time! Talk about overkill. He did get the point at least. He still wouldn't play the violin long enough to get that point, so it'll have to wait until next round. An alien baby is always exciting news to me, however it's a little bittersweet this time because, per the new rules, couples can give up unexpected babies if they roll accordingly*, and that's exactly what the Kims decided. So as soon as this little one is born he/she will go to the orphanage.
Sharlene and Joe Graham (see PV 7/15/20) decided finally to tie the knot this round. And to celebrate their nuptials they decided to also have another baby. Claire will likely return home soon as well, so their house is filling up quickly. Jessica will be out of the nursery by the time the new baby is born and will probably share the basement bedroom with her sister Claire, leaving one small upstairs bedroom for Randall when he's old enough. I'm kind of hoping for another boy, so he can be Joe Jr., but we'll see.
Orphanage Unit One (see PV 7/15/20) still has a full contingent of kids.
Anthony Tellerman now has an A average which means he just might get his want to go to college if he keeps up with his grades.
Dale Futa's average climbed to a C, allowing him to keep his job and earn another $45 to add to his savings.
Maya Tellerman's grade dropped to a C- due to incomplete homework. She earned $45 at her job.
Olivia Landgraab's average dropped to A-. She'll be a teen next round.
Mari Alpha's average climbed to an A-. She'll also be a teen next round.
Kyra Broke's grade is now a B-. She'll become a teen in three days.
Caregiver Michelle became best friends with co-worker Derek Vijayakar and still has a crush on him, but they have not yet fallen in love.
At Orphanage Unit Two (see PV 7/15/20) Merlin Patch acquired a new charge: Beck Tellerman.
Jeremy Landgraab is a child with a C average. He didn't have school this round, so spent most of his time socializing with the other kids.
Beck Tellerman grew into a toddler this round. He'll be a child in three days.
Caregiver Merlin remains friendly and professional with all his co-workers. He has no love interest.
Kenny Ottomas (see PV 7/16/20) slept all day, had a few drinks, soaked in the hot tub, got scared by a ghost dog, and went back to bed. Next.
*Under the new rules relationship statuses and having children are decided by dice rolls that are weighted based on a sim's aspiration. Family and Popularity sims are more likely to want marriage/children, whereas Pleasure and Romance are less likely (Fortune and Knowledge are 50/50).

Pleasantview 9/15/20
The Kim household (see PV 7/13/20) was fairly calm this round. Both businesses are closed on Sunday, so they didn't have to worry about that. Justin spent most of his day doing financial consulting on the computer. Alon invited his children over to hand out college money and spent the rest of his day doing household chores. Charlene prepared lunch for the various children running around the house, bathed one of the dogs, then headed off to work where she was promoted. Marcel was supposed to have a play date, but he doesn't really have any friends, so none of the kids he invited would come over. He settled for talking to them on the phone and greeting one boy that walked by the house. He spent his evening teaching one of the dogs commands she needs for her job and he talked his dad into getting another puppy, which is just what this family needs.
Kirby Bruty (see PV 7/14/20) didn't have much going on this round, but then again he never does. His LTW is to have six grandchildren (he has one so far), so he doesn't really have a concrete goal to work towards; he just has to wait for his kids to have kids. Consequently he spends the majority of his day playing poker with whoever drops by (today it was his son Liam). Sometimes he wins a little money, sometimes he loses. In any event, it's not a lucrative career choice. Luckily, other family members have stable incomes. Both Gladys and Dale got promoted today which was very helpful. Since it was Sunday, Joshua just hung around the house all day with Kieran, who was supposed to have a play date, but due to just aging up last round, he doesn't know any other children yet.
Over at the Swain household (see PV 7/14/20) things were pretty quiet as well. Tina had the day off and spent it skilling. Erik worked, but didn't get promoted because he was short a body point. Shortly after returning home, it was time for Katrina's birthday. Once she aged to child, Erik immediately rolled the want to send her to private school. Since they have plenty of money and are both career oriented it made sense that they'd want their daughter to have the best possible education so I sent her right off to Briarwood Prep. I guess they won't need that addition just yet, as a bedroom just opened up.

Pleasantview 9/14/20
Armando Ottomas (see PV 7/12/20) had the day off today, so he spent it sleeping while the nanny came in to care for Joanne. In the evening, Joanne grew up into a child and Armando immediately rolled the want to send her to private school. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have the money right now. However, once Joanne's grades go up, he'll probably be able to swing it. Luckily, thanks to the new rules, Armando will be less likely to adopt any more children.
Nathan Dreamer (see PV 7/12/20) turned 80 this round which is bittersweet because I know he can't possibly live much longer. He spent some time with his youngest daughter Nevada, as well as his grandchildren. Alexis gave some makeovers, but did not achieve the gold badge she's been wanting. Maybe next round. Alvin, however, reached the top of the Adventure career, achieving his LTW, due to a good chance card. His new LTW is for Dance, but he'll run out his vacation time before switching.
As I suspected Thomas and Elise Bruty (see PV 7/13/20) didn't make it through this round. They decided to call it quits and Elise moved out immediately (before aging at 6 p.m. which means she can still be played in her new home). I was a bit surprised to learn that she wouldn't be moving in with Orlando Bertino, who she's been having the affair with, but I guess she's not ready to plunge right back into family life (Orlando has a daughter). After the breakup, Thomas promptly decided to have another plant baby and thus Camille was born. Ivy grew into an adult as well, making her older than Eve now. She has the LTW for 50 dream dates, so I used her hobby to select a job for her and ended up going with Slacker like her brother Noel because it doesn't require any education, which is exactly how much she has. Noel did not get a promotion at work (Elise took most of the family friends with her when she left), but he did have a date with Chloe Cox. Now, I know that Noel is a bit innocent what with going straight from toddlerhood to adulthood and all, so maybe he doesn't realize Chloe is married, but I think he really should have questioned the baby bump. Lol, maybe he'll meet someone more appropriate in time.

Pleasantview 9/13/20
Today we'll visit Aiden Broke and his daughter Cara (see PV 7/10/20). Aiden didn't have much going on this round apart from inviting his kids over to hand out money for college. Cara went to work and got a promotion. When she got home she hung out with her siblings and Erik Swain (who she brought home from work) for a while before calling it an early night and heading off to bed.
Lucy Hanby also had an uneventful round (see PV 7/10/20). She slept all day, then invited Jordan over in the evening to give him his college fund. He brought a friend and she chatted with them and watched tv for a while. When they left at 2 a.m., she spent some time cleaning and then went to bed when the sun came up.
Lila Ottomas and her son Gavin Jacquet (see PV 7/11/20) spent a quiet round together. Well, not really "together" per se, as he's up during the day and she's up at night, but in the same house at the same time. Gavin's produce market was closed today, so he spent most of his day working in his greenhouse. He harvested/planted a lot of produce, bathed the dog, and did some other chores around the house. He also spent some time with his son. Lila spent her night finishing a car she'd been working on, which she sold for a $4400 profit. She immediately bought another to start working on next round.
That's it for today. Sorry there wasn't more excitement, but some sims you just have to get through, right? Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/12/20
Today we're visiting Heather Broke (see PV 7/10/20) and her family. Heather had the day off today and took the opportunity to have an outing with some friends. Back at home, she invited her younger children over to give them their college fund money and prepared a nice rainbow trout for dinner. Hobart and Charlotte had a date that ended in a lullaby. Afterwards, Charlotte was in such a good mood, she put in several hours work on her online degree. She's nearly finished with the regular degree, which will allow her to take a job in the Medical field while continuing to work on her masters. Warner really wanted a kitten, so Hobart adopted one for him, and Warner named him Kingston (because Sean Kingston was playing on Music Choice at the time, that's why).
It was a chaotic day at the Landgraab/Grundstrom house (see PV 7/10/20) as usual. It was Sunday, so Tess didn't have to work. She invited the older twins over to give them their college fund payments and Ross brought a friend along. Also, because it was Sunday, Wesley had a play date, which would normally consist of inviting over three friends, but unfortunately Wesley only has one. His friend brought a friend, however (teen Kimberli Cox, who Ray really hit it off with), and he greeted a boy who walked by with his cat. So in addition to the seven sims and three cats who live here, there were seven (if you count the maid) extra sims and one extra cat roaming around the house all day, though to be fair Stephen was asleep in his coffin all day so he wasn't roaming at all. In the evening when all the guests had left, Tess spent some time teaching the toddlers to walk, while Stephen finished a novel. After seeing how close this family is with all their children and siblings, and even with nieces/nephews, I decided that when Shane gets out of prison next round, I'll be moving him back here. I was going to send him to the homeless shelter, since he lost his rental when he went to jail, but I can't see Stephen and Tess letting that happen to their son, no matter what mistakes he's made. I feel they'd want to keep supporting him and trying to help him. Although that extra cat may be a problem household members-wise, so I may need a temporary solution for him until the cat dies (it's pretty old anyway). To be continued.

Pleasantview 9/11/20
Up first is Briarwood boys' dorm B (see PV 7/8/20) which is maxed out with six students: Simon and Teddy Korman, Jake Alpha, Glen Gray, Richard Ottomas, and Steven Ottomas. It was Sunday, so the teens invited their parents to visit.
Simon and Teddy invited their mother Brittany, but their father Alan was unable to attend due to being a vampire. Teddy had to leave for work for a few hours, but he came back with a promotion, so it was worthwhile. Apart from that they both did some skilling and socializing.
Jake invited his parents, Drake Dreamer and Bethany Alpha. He was working on a body point this round, but really didn't want to stay in the pool lol. I had to micromanage him and force him to swim laps until he finally got it.
Glen invited his mom Aiyana, but focused most of his time on skilling. I only instructed him to get one point, but I think he earned several more on his own. He was a skilling machine.
Richard was new this round. He invited his parents, Ella and Geoffrey Ottomas, to visit. He was already friends with Glen, but made friends with several of the other boys as well. He's very well-liked.
Poor Steven just seems so lonely to me. He earned a body point while swimming alone, and although he has managed to befriend a couple of the other boys, since they're all older than him, it means they'll all graduate and leave him behind. It feels like he's been here forever already, and yet he'll be here longer than anyone else still. Poor kid.
Wrapping up Briarwood is girls' dorm B (see PV 7/8/20) which still has just four girls: Caryl Broke, Kimberli Cox, Tina Traveller, and Madison Kim. It was Sunday here as well. (You may be wondering why I mentioned the day each time, despite it being the same day in each unit. That's because, at some point, one of the dorms may become empty and therefore it won't be played when the others are, causing its day to be different once it regains students. For now, they're all in sync, but they might not always be.)
Caryl invited her father Aiden Broke and spent some time playing kicky bag with him before going off to study her mechanical skill. She didn't have to work , so she spent her evening hanging out with the other girls and then went to bed early.
Kimberli invited her mother Hailey, but ignored her by playing kicky bag with Caryl and Madison's dad until Hailey left early. Kimberli also decided to get a job this round, given that everyone else in her dorm has one. She chose Adventure, had her first day of work, and immediately got promoted to the top of the job. What's so hard about work?
Tina, of course, didn't have any family to invite, so she spent the day skilling and socializing with other students and their parents. Madison's father and grandfather spent a lot of time trying to talk to her. She wasn't creeped out by it, but I was.
Madison invited her parents Alon and Nadine Kim, as well as her grandpa Justin Kim. She spent some time hanging out with her mom, since her dad and grandpa were busy trying to befriend all her roommates. Then she went off to work where she was promoted to the top of her teen job.
Our last update of the day is at the Pleasantview prison (see PV 7/9/20), where we have four inmates (Thug Alvin Broke was paroled last round and moved out immediately to the homeless shelter at the beginning of this round): Mason Tellerman, Rosemary Bruty, Shane Grundstrom, and Claire Ottomas.
Mason was fired from his Criminal job, meaning he'll need to start over when (if) he gets out.
Rosemary has not technically been fired yet, but she will be in the near future.
Shane was up for parole and it was granted, so he'll be moving to the homeless shelter at the beginning of next round.
Claire was also up for parole, but hers was denied, meaning she'll need to serve one more day before being released. Since her high school grade has now dropped to a D, she will not be accepted to college (or even graduate high school) next round and will need to get her education online. She can move home with her mom at least while she's working on that, so she won't be as bad off as most who leave here.
Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/10/20
We are back at Briarwood Prep girls' dorm A (see 7/7/20). Five girls live here: Clarissa and Cybil Fancey, Noelle Tellerman, Amy Broke, and new student Daphne Dreamer. Today was Sunday which means teens invite their parents for a visit. In addition to that, since Daphne just arrived, Servo also needed to conduct a headmaster visit.
Clarissa and Cybil invited their father Luc, but since their mother Melissa is a vampire (and they're not at all close to her), she was unable to attend visiting day. Cybil took a few hours out to go to work where she earned a promotion, reaching the top of her teen job. Clarissa was less productive, choosing to spend most of her day harassing Amy to the point that they now dislike each other intensely.
Noelle invited her mother Katie and spent a little time skilling. She spent the rest of the day socializing with other students.
Amy invited her mother Annabeth and stepfather Dominique. I thought she might spend some time getting to know her stepdad, but it turns out she really hates him. She has a -34/-33 relationship score with him. Amy also got promoted at her job, though she's not at the top yet.
Daphne invited her parents Alexis Dreamer and Alvin Broke, as well as her grandpa Nathan Dreamer. She also went to work and also got promoted. Literally everyone who worked got promoted. It was a good day for teen jobs.
Next round it'll be Monday which means students will be focusing only on school and their studies for the next few rounds.
Next up is boys' dorm A (see 7/7/20) where five boys live: Jay Broke, Aaron GilsCarbo, Leo and Max Deppiesse, and Julian Delarosa. It was also Sunday here, so teens invite parents day.
Jay invited his father Aiden Broke, spent some time skilling, and went for a late night swim where he earned an additional body point.
Aaron had a long day. He invited both his parents, Marylena and Goopy GilsCarbo, as well as Goopy's current girlfriend Allyn Shahan. He didn't get to spend a lot of time with them however because he was busy skilling for both school and his job. Then he went to work, came home to finish skilling for his job, and crashed into bed completely exhausted.
Leo and Max invited their parents, Claire Deppiesse and Dylan Broke. They both spent most of their time hanging out with Dylan. I guess they were comforting him on the loss of their older brother Alon, who died in prison last round? When they weren't with him, however, Dylan was trying to reconnect with Claire. Those two may get back together.
Julian invited his parents, Florence and Renaud Delarosa, as well as his father's new girlfriend, whose name I forget. He chatted with his dad a bit over lunch, but spent most of his time with his mom. He's always been closer to her, given his father left when he was young.
That's it for today. We'll cover the other two dorms tomorrow. Until then, Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/9/20
Today we have Casteroff Dorm (see PV 7/6/20) where Darius Goss and Dawn Grundstrom are still the only two students.
This round I noticed just how much Darius and Dawn have in common. They both have many siblings (though Darius doesn't really know most of his). They are both very good students, maintaining 4.0 GPAs. Neither has many friends outside of their family and the people they're dating. And neither apparently has any interest in speaking to the other. Their relationship is 0/0 despite living in this dorm together for the past four semesters. Nor are they friendly with any other dormies either. They literally don't talk to anyone they don't already know it seems. Weird, right? Anyway, Dawn finished her sophomore year this round and Darius will finish his junior year next round.
The final ALT lot is Mille House Dorm (see PV 7/6/20) where there are two students: Savannah Broke and Blake Tellerman.
Savannah finished her sophomore year with an A+ and a 4.0 GPA. She had a date with David Ottomas, but it got a little glitchy at the end when he got stuck in a photo booth. Oh, well. He got out eventually and complained that she invited him to stay the night but didn't let him sleep, which she didn't and he could have slept in the booth. Just saying.
Blake was a first term sophomore this round. He also earned an A+ and a 4.0. I was worried he wouldn't have any date prospects, but a dormie he knows moved up in his panel just enough to make her dateable. I'm not sure if she lived in this dorm or not (when Savannah brought David to the lot, the game decided he was moving in and moved a dormie out, who was later replaced by a different dormie), but she doesn't now. Blake took Amanda to a pet store for their date (I choose date locations randomly - sometimes they're weird) and it went well for a first date. She did leave early though because she tried to buy something and the cashier never got around to ringing her up, so she left in a huff after throwing her bags down.
That does it for Uni. Briarwood Prep is up next. Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/8/20
Today we'll visit Romara Dorm (see PV 7/5/20) where there is still just one student, Lauren Greaves.
You may recall that Lauren is "marked for death", however after having two accidental deaths already last round, I made the decision that if Lauren survived all three days of this term I would abolish "marked for death" entirely. She did and I did. If the game wants to step it up there's no need for artificial deaths. In other news, Lauren earned an A+ this term, maintaining her 4.0 as she transitions to sophomore next round.
Up next is Lam Plaza Dorm (see PV 7/6/20) where we now have three residents: Lucas Broke, Gabriella Hamilton, and Jason Fancey.
Lucas graduated Summa Cum Laude this round with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He doesn't need a masters for Journalism, so he'll spend his final semester next round doing mostly nothing, since he's already quite wealthy and doesn't need to earn any money for an apartment since he already owns a mansion. Lucas is torn romantically, however, because he's been seeing a married woman for some time with no indication that she'll be leaving her husband anytime soon. Then Gabriella asked him on a date this round and he noticed her for the first time. Now he's in love with two women and he'll be leaving at the end of next term.
Gabriella finished her freshman year with a 4.0. She's been trying to get Lucas' attention forever, but now that she's got it, she wonders for how long? She'll only be halfway through sophomore year when he leaves, which means he'll be back in the real world, living his life, for a very long time before she graduates. Will he still be interested by then?
Jason is just starting out at ALT. He's majoring in Biology and planning for a career in Education. His actual LTW is to have 20 Lovers, which he started working on by having a date with Sydney Jacquet. One down, 19 to go. Before the round was over he rolled the want to become best friends with Gabriella and ask a sim on a date. Guess he's got his sights set on her next. Gabi may have more to worry about than she thinks.
Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/7/20
Our final stop at LFT is Desert Dorm (see PV 7/3/20) where the Tinker twins are the only residents.
Both twins are first term juniors this round, with Octavius holding a higher GPA of 3.5, though Cord did bring his grade up to 3.1 by earning an A this round. Both boys also had dates this round, Octavius with an age appropriate dormie, Rebecca Walton, and Cord with Melissa Fancey, a middle-aged homeless vampire mother of five. I guess he's just following in his parents' footsteps as both their current partners are significantly younger than them. And hey, if it works out (doubtful given Melissa's history) they'll eventually be the same age. Problem solved.
Over at ALT our first household is the Chancellor's Hacienda (see PV 7/4/20) where Sarah Goth is the only resident. Sarah graduated this round with a 4.0 GPA. When she wasn't working on her studies, she was painting masterpieces to sell, though she also painted a self-portrait for the dining room to commemorate being the first Goth to attend Uni. Next round she will spend her final semester earning as much money as possible from her paintings in order to put some final touches on the house. (The house is not nearly finished, but final touches for her time here anyway. I'm hoping all this stuff stays put when she moves out. Bringing in placeholders all the time would be a nuisance.)
Next we'll check in with the Tri-Annyas (see PV 7/4/20), Sydney Greaves and Alyssa Larson.
Sydney was pretty miserable this round, as she's suffering from the mysterious disease, but she managed to pull off an A+ anyway, maintaining her 4.0 GPA. She had a couple of outings with friends, but they didn't do much to lift her spirits. Hopefully she'll recover by next round when she'll be due to graduate.
Alyssa had a tough round as well, given she's a vampire and had to suffer through an 11 a.m. class. She pulled through though and also managed to keep her 4.0 by scoring an A+. Her outings were a little more successful since her needs don't drop at night. Alyssa will also be graduating next round provided she can survive another daytime class.
Finally we have Nagard-Fruhm-Cham (see PV 7/5/20) where there are two members: Andrew Dreamer and Jess Creelman.
Andrew did very well this semester, completing his sophomore year with a 4.0 GPA. He had a couple of unimpressive outings and a snoozer toga party, even though he'd invited both the girls he's dating and I expected there to be fireworks.
Jess did pretty much the same, though his grades weren't as good and he dropped to a 3.6 GPA. Jess finished his freshman year and will be heading into sophomore year next round.

Pleasantview 9/6/20
At Canyon Commons (see PV 7/3/20) we have four residents now: Claire Dreamer, Brian Ryan, Sydney Jacquet, and Ray Picaso.
Claire gained a baby brother on her father's side since last round, though she's yet to meet him. Academically she's doing great, finishing her freshman year with an A+. Romantically she and Brian are back on again after their date this round, however Claire also had a date with Jordan Hanby recently, so she's a bit confused about what she wants right now. At the end of the round, Claire moved to Tri-Fruhm which is where she'll be played next round.
Brian isn't doing quite as well in school as Claire (he earned a B this term), but he's holding his own. He's pretty happy about their reconciliation and even rolled a want to get engaged. We'll see how that plays out. Brian also moved out to Oresha-Hoh-Var at the end of the round. He's probably sad not to be living under the same roof with Claire anymore, but they both want to get everything they can out of University life, so for now they'll be separated.
Sydney is just beginning her studies at LFT as a first term freshman, majoring in Drama and looking to pursue a career in Dance. She was highly focused on school this round and it payed off with an A+. She did take a little time out to have a date with Jason Fancey, who she's been friendly with for a while. The date ended with both being in crush status, so it's not too serious yet.
Ray is also a first term freshman. He's majoring in Math and planning to become a Gamer. He earned a respectable B for his first term, but was less lucky in the romance department. He has virtually no prospects and the woman he called to ask on a date said no. I'm hoping he'll click with one of the dormies here, but he won't have much time since he decided he too would like to be a part of Greek life on campus and was accepted to OHV. He'll spend one more term here and then move to the frat house at the end of next round.
Lastly we have Oasis Dorm (see PV 7/3/20) where Claire Carr is still the only resident.
This round Claire had a date with the dormie she took a liking to last round, Mackenzie Mace. The date ended up only being "ok" because Mackenzie ran off to class as soon as it started and Claire only got in a few interactions with her upon her return before the date ended. Nevertheless, by the end of the round they were in crush and best friends, so it seems promising. Claire finished her freshman year and headed into sophomore year with the incredible GPA of 2.9. What does she care - she's rich?!
Tomorrow we'll finish up LFT and head to ALT. Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/5/20
Today we're moving on to LFT and 134 Aridestra Dr. (see PV 7/1/20) to catch up with Marion Mendoza. Marion graduated this round with a 3.3 GPA and a degree in Art. During this round she also got to have a date with her fiance Frances which put her in a nice platinum mood for her final class. The rest of the term was spent being annoyed by the cow mascot, who initially poked and slapped her, but then set up shop at the piano for days. When I couldn't stand listening to the music anymore I had Marion influence her to repair several times in a row until she got shocked so many times that she decided to leave (because asking her to leave didn't work, but also just for fun). Marion will spend one more semester here working to earn some money to go along with over $10,000 in student loan debt that she'll be bringing with her into her marriage.
Next up is the Oresha-Hoh-Var Frat house (see PV 7/2/20), where we have two members: Austin Jacquet and Tyler Tellerman.
Austin finished his junior year this round, achieving an A+ thanks to a last minute research session with Tyler. His GPA is up to 3.9. On the personal front, he had a date with Tyler's mom Lakshmi. I wonder if he'll still think she's hot when she becomes an elder? He's a sim - of course he will.
Tyler also finished junior year, also with an A+, but his GPA is only 3.6. Tyler had a date with his girlfriend (placeholder for the Tri-Fruhm Sorority*) Katy LeTourneau. They've been going strong for a while now and it looks like they might have a promising future.
*I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but in order to keep Greek houses from losing their Greek status when all the members graduate, what I do is I have the last remaining member pledge in a dormie before they leave. That sim will remain unplayed in the Greek house until another playable sim moves in, at which point they themselves will be upgraded to a playable sim and proceed through Uni life to eventually graduate and move into the 'hood.

Pleasantview 9/4/20
Today we'll visit Landgraab House (see PV 6/30/20 #2) where we have two residents: Isabelle Greaves and David Ottomas.
Isabelle is a first term senior this round. She's doing fine academically, if not great. She's got a 3.3 GPA, which is not terrible for someone who never does assignments or turns in term papers. She spends most of her time socializing. This round she had a dream date with David, but I couldn't help but notice that whenever David's otherwise occupied she's in a corner somewhere chatting or joking with her ex-fiance Patrick. They're not romantic, but they've become very close friends again since their breakup. Not only that, but when determining (under my new rules) whether Isabelle would want to move in with David (to their own place, as opposed to living in the dorm together), she came up with a definitive "no", which is very unusual for a Family sim. Maybe she's seeing David's true colors and thinking she should've appreciated Patrick more?
David is a second term sophomore this round. He cares even less about his grades than Isabelle, earning a C+ this term which brought his GPA to 2.9. Stellar, right? David literally has a one-track mind; he's all about racking up the woohoos. If only he was more successful at it. He had an easy mark at the sculpture park, but refused to seal the deal because he was too hungry or too tired or whatever. The only woohoo he managed to achieve was with Isabelle on their date, bringing his tally to five. I'd hoped he'd complete his LTW (Woohoo 20) by the time he finished college, but he's just hopeless.
Up next is Pinenut Plaza (see PV 6/30/20 #2) where there are two residents: Blaze Broke and Jordan Hanby.
Blaze finished his sophomore year this round and racked up some more student loan debt to pay for his next term. He had an outing with a high school friend and then a group outing with his cousin Moon, dormmate Jordan, Jordan's father Aiden, and Jordan's friend Austin Jacquet. Blaze still doesn't have many friends of his own. In fact, he and Jordan only officially became friends this round. Next round he'll begin his junior year.
Jordan finished his freshman year this round and squeezed in a little fun with an group outing before he prepared to move to Urele-Oresha-Cham at the end of the term. He'll be joining Ross Grundstrom, since Jasper Roseland finished his post-grad semester and left campus. I think Blaze is a little sad to see him go, given they'd finally become friends, but Jordan is excited about being a true brother by living in the frat house.
Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/3/20 Round 2
Round 2 begins with Urele-Oresha-Cham (see PV 6/30/20). Current residents are Jasper Roseland and Ross Grundstrom.
Jasper graduated last round and spent this round working at the campus coffee shop, as well as at the lounge, to earn the money to rent and furnish an apartment. He did fairly well, leaving campus with over $5800 in his pocket. I do have to have a mini rant here though. Why is it that sims generally find a wall light more fascinating than an NPC barista/bartender, but when a playable sim takes on the role, they suddenly become the most sought-after conversational partner in the room? It would be nice to be able to fast forward through a shift, but that is impossible because every 2.1 seconds someone is engaging Jasper in conversation, forcing me to constantly instruct him back to bartending. So annoying! Ok, rant over. I haven't decided yet where Jasper will move, but it will likely be somewhere downtown.
Ross finished his sophomore year and even managed to snag a first date with dormie Laci King. It went very well; Ross got his first kiss at the end. For someone who was socially awkward all through high school, this is quite a milestone for Ross. He didn't even manage to befriend Jasper in the time they've been frat brothers. He'll be here for a while longer, however, so there's always the chance some new brothers will move in and he'll make some friends. At the moment, his entire group of friends consists of family members, Andrew Dreamer, and Laci King. Poor guy.

Pleasantview 9/2/20 Latte Legacy
The Latte Legacy is newer than the Alphas. Their legacy goal is very loosely based on a legacy idea I once saw on the forum about the family working as baristas until they save enough to buy a coffee shop. I, of course, added some things because I can never leave a challenge alone and play it as is. I converted the real estate office in Bluewater into the Bluewater Cafe because what is even the point of a real estate office? This is where the heirs work as often and as long as they can to earn money to not only someday buy the shop, but also to build/decorate their home. I started the founder off with a Ranch Retreat because I didn't feel like doing the lawn living thing, but everything since has been acquired through his own earnings. I also threw in a legacy tree just for the heck of it. I don't really understand what the challenge is there though. I mean, the tree can't die and how hard is it to place it near the corner of the lot where you'll never need to move it? Anyway, some other rules I instituted are: spouses must be NPCs, aspirations and benefit points are assigned at random, each generation will have three kids (adoption will be allowed if necessary), no one will go to Uni (though they will go long enough to grow up and drop out), and spares will get a high school diploma and whatever random items other household members have in their inventories to sell as their starting cash.
Heirs are chosen through a contest that works as follows:
When the oldest child reaches 9 days to adult (the day before they'd go to Uni to grow up) each child makes the best dish they can and sets it on a table. Then we wait for the current heir to choose one. Once he/she has chosen a dish, we proceed to scoring.
Each participant gets:
+1 point for each cooking point they have
+1 point for each point of cuisine enthusiasm they have
+1 point for each point of food interest they have
+1 point for having Family aspiration
+1 point if cuisine is their predetermined hobby
+5 points if the heir chooses their dish first
-5 points for a burned dish
-5 points for setting the stove on fire
The first two categories definitely favor the oldest child, however if the youngest child is still a child at the time of the contest, the final category will favor him/her since the child's stove doesn't catch fire. Everything else is either random or selected by the game, so anyone could earn those points.
The family history so far is this:
Caffe Latte is the founder; he married former bartender Crystal Jones. Their three children are Joy, Calvin, and Noah. At the Gen 2 Heir Competition Joy made comfort soup, Calvin made mac and cheese, and Noah made a muffin. Joy scored: 2+2+8+1+0+5+0+0=18 pts. Calvin scored: 1+0+6+0+0+0+0+0=7 pts. Noah scored: 0+0+3+0+0+0-5+0=-2 pts. Joy was the winner by a landslide and became the heir. Joy partnered with a former barista, Peter Macarevich (I'm waiting until after the children are born to get them married to preserve the family name), and they are expecting their first child. Calvin left home and moved to the Village Condos downtown. Noah is still a teen, but will likely move in with his brother when he moves out.
The family has managed to add on a garage as well as remodel the ground floor and build a second floor. They still have very basic furnishings and not much in the way of decent wallpaper/paint, but they are gradually working on upgrading things room by room, while also keeping in mind the goal of buying the cafe. They have nearly half the money they need.
That's it for the Lattes. Tomorrow we'll be starting a new round with the students of SSU. Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 9/1/20 Alpha Legacy
The Alpha Legacy is, as you may have guessed, an Alphabet Legacy, meaning that each generation is named with a different letter of the alphabet. I never keep score on legacies and play pretty loose with the rules. Generally I'm just looking for some sort of theme or goal to complete and I pick and choose what I want to do. For me it's not about generational play, since that's the way I always play. For the Alphas, I have them doing a family breed, which means they raise pets (dogs in this case) that are generational as well. I also have them running a home business as their sole source of income (no jobs or focus on LTW at all); the business is made more difficult by only offering products/services crafted by the family. Currently they have for sale paintings, pottery, flowers, toys, robots, and sewing, with the intention of expanding into makeovers, baking, fresh produce, and fish. Each heir and spouse gets assigned to making one of these items. The family Servo (Betty) picks up the slack when sims die and takes over their crafting duties until another family can take it on. What else? The oldest child is usually the heir, barring unforeseen consequences, and they must marry someone with the same letter in their first name. I have allowed the family name to change with marriage because the spares move to Pleasantview and I don't want a million Alphas there.
Here's a little recap of the family history so far. The founder was Andrew Alpha. He began on an empty lot with his dog Annie. He married Aiyana (don't remember last name) Alpha. They had three daughters: Bianca, Bethany, and Belinda. Bianca became heir, while her sisters moved to Pleasantview (you've met them). Bianca married Benjamin Long, becoming Bianca Long. They had twins: Charity and Cole. Charity became the heir and Cole moved to Pleasantview (you've met him too). Charity married Curtis Garth, becoming Charity Garth. They have three children: Danica, Dallas, and Dante. The "D" kids are still all under the age of teen. Andrew, Aiyana, Bianca, and Ben are all deceased, leaving just Charity, Curtis and their kids on the lot (plus Betty the Servo). The family breed has struggled because the heirs often don't get along with the mates chosen for them, forcing me to find new ones. Annie did not like her first mate Animal, so I sold him and got Alfie who she liked. Annie and Alfie had two puppies: Bruno and Buck. I chose Buck as the heir and gave him Brandy for a mate, who he hated. I sold Brandy and gave him Bitsy, who he liked but I couldn't stand. Buck and Bitsy produced Chance and China. Chance is the current heir and I've given him Coral as a mate, but so far he's barely noticed her existence and he became an elder this round, so that's not a good sign. The family breed may die out and honestly I'd be cool with it if it did because these dogs have been the ugliest, most annoying pets I've ever seen in this game.
This round it was Saturday so the family spent time getting the shop restocked as they do every weekend. Bianca died only recently and she was in charge of flowers, so Betty will temporarily take that on until Danica becomes a teen (next round) and can take it on. Charity does pottery and Curtis makes robots. Betty is in charge of painting, sewing, and toys (which was Ben's craft). Toys will likely be assigned to Danica's spouse. Next round they will continue to craft/stock; the shop will reopen the following round on Monday.
That's it for the Alpha Legacy. Tomorrow we'll meet the Latte family. Happy Simming!
