Pleasantview 2/15/21

 Florence Delarosa (see PV 12/6/20) didn't have anything special going on.  She gardened and did household chores.  Checo and Christy Ramirez stopped by for a visit.  That is all.

Christian Cox (see PV 12/7/20) took a vacation day, had an outing with friends, and spent some time teaching Phoebe to walk.  I thought Chloe might get one work shift in before she popped, but she did not.  She did, however, set the stove on fire and nearly burned the place down.  So that was fun.

Ty Bubbler (see PV 12/7/20) had the day off, so he went out to his hobby lot with some friends.  I thought it would be an excellent opportunity for him to meet someone, since his relationship with Sam Thomas basically ended when she joined the commune and he never saw her again.  Wrong again.  The only people who showed up to the hobby lot, apart from Ty and his friends, were the director, three senior citizens, and a pregnant woman.  Oh well, better luck next round Ty.

Pleasantview 2/14/21

 The Picasos (see PV 12/5/20) spent a quiet day at home.  Oliver didn't have any friends to invite over, but he met Colton Landgraab walking by and they played together for a while.  Cynthia and Stuart spent most of the day skilling.  In the evening, Griffin grew into an adult and rolled the LTW to top Adventure, which he found on the computer after midnight.  It was lucky for him that he rolled a LTW that doesn't require any education.

Jace Lothario (see PV 12/6/20) ran his gallery this round.  He didn't make much money, but he did earn the silver sales badge he's been wanting.  Charles got promoted at work and then worked on charisma at night.

Rebecca Larson (see PV 12/6/20) hooked up with (and got knocked up by) River Todd this round.  She's been very lucky to date about not getting pregnant, but I guess her luck finally ran out.  Being a Romance sim, she is not keen on raising a kid, so she'll be giving the baby up to the orphanage.  Andrea went out with friends and then finished a novel.  Her wild days were over decades ago.

Pleasantview 2/13/21

 Miley Futa (see PV 12/5/20) is still hanging in, though I fear next round will be her last.  My plan is to have her nephew Blaze inherit, but I'm not sure if he'll graduate before she dies, so I had her adopt a cat to placehold just in case.  I don't remember if I've told Miley's story before, but she's had a pretty sad life.  Miley is the daughter of Priya (Ramaswami) Landchild and Houston Landchild.  She had a brother, Sayid, and a sister, Amelia.  Her mother died when she was just a teen.  After that her sister got married, moved out, and had three sets of twins.  Her brother, who she was particularly close to, lived a rakish lifestyle, fathering several children around town.  Eventually, Miley also got married to Alvin Futa and they had a daughter together, Kayla.  Unfortunately, the marriage didn't work out and on top of that, a short time after their divorce Kayla died as a teen.  Two of her sister's children also died as teens.  Sayid moved in for a while, which helped, but ultimately he joined the commune and Miley never saw him again after that.  Miley dated around quite a bit, but never remarried.  She got pregnant at one point when she was nearing elderhood, but decided to give the baby up rather than have him suffer the loss of his mother at an early age.  The only area of Miley's life that has gone smoothly is her career.  She topped the Business career and made quite a bit of money in the process.  She lives in a beautiful house and has everything money can buy, but she's alone.  It's pretty sad actually.  Since she gave her son up, and all of Amelia's remaining children (just three are still living at this point) are settled, I decided that Miley would leave her fortune to one of Sayid's three kids.  Two of them he never had any contact with, but the third was born on the commune and Sayid actually had a relationship with him, so he seems like the right choice.  Also, having grown up on the commune, Blaze has no money and a huge student loan to pay off, so he needs the help the most.  At least something good will come out of Miley's life.

The Ottomas household (see PV 12/5/20) was pretty quiet.  Everyone had the day off, so it was mostly skilling and household chores.  Amar went out for a bit with friends and then came home to look for his Dance job, which still did not appear, so he bathed the dog and went to bed.  Since Landon and Tanya are both nearing retirement age, I'm thinking of doing the big camping trip after they've both retired in a little under a week.

Pleasantview 2/12/21

 Isabella Landgraab (see PV 12/4/20) took a vacation day this round, since she was exhausted from last round's folly.  In the evening she went out with friends.  The Contessa showed up and turned Klara Vonderstein and the townie teen cashier.  Vamps Gone Wild strikes again.

It was another quiet round for Evelyn Deppiesse and James Radcliffe (see PV 12/4/20).  James worked, but didn't get promoted, Evelyn still did not find her job, but taught the dog to roll over, and Julie had a play date with some friends.  James also aged to elder this round, while Julie will become a teen next round.

Lynn Tinker settled into her new home with the twins and the kittens.  The only remodeling she did was to enclose the patio to make a sunroom.  After furnishing and decorating, she didn't have much money left, so went to run the shop, calling in a nanny for the kids.  Upon returning, she greeted the welcome wagon and invited over a few of her friends for an impromptu housewarming/birthday party.  That's right, Lynn is an elder now with twin toddlers, two cats, a business, and a partridge in a pear tree.  There's a pretty good chance she won't live to see the kids reach adulthood, which means, since she has no other family, they'll either end up being placed with one of their older brothers on their dad's side (Cord or Octavius Tinker) or they'll go to the orphanage.  That's a while off, though, so I'm not going to worry about it now.  Lynn will live into their teens at least, so it's not an immediate concern.

Pleasantview 2/11/21

 Marylena GilsCarbo (see PV 12/4/20) finished up the car this round and had a date with (married) Dom Copur.  I guess she figures if sleeping around with married sims was good enough for Goopy, it's good enough for her.  Adam had a date with townie Jill Smith, which went very well, but they're not ready to get too serious just yet.  Garrett had a date with Trinity Wong.  I think they're pretty cute together.  Apart from all the dates, Adam also got promoted at work and is well on his way to obtaining the skills needed for the next promotion.

Margaret Dreamer (see PV 12/4/20) invited over some friends, one of whom became her date afterwards.  It was a dream date, so that was nice.  Apart from that, she worked in her garden, harvesting some mouthwatering apples and selling some cucumbers and pole beans.

Pleasantview 2/10/21

 Griff Schehl (see PV 12/4/20) was having a perfectly ordinary day.  He went to work, while Tammy stayed home with the new baby.  He got home just in time to celebrate Tad's teen birthday.  He showered and went out with some friends, returning home refreshed and ready to get down to skilling for his job.  He needed logic, which meant stargazing.  The poor guy got abducted within seconds of looking into the telescope and now he's expecting another alien bundle of joy.  I swear, he's never going to get those points because the aliens won't leave him alone long enough.  In other news, a space opened up at Briarwood, so Parker is headed there for next round and baby Beth will grow into a toddler next round as well.

Sorry for only one update today.  When I tried moving Parker into Briarwood I encountered some technical difficulties.  Every time I entered the household, Parker would disappear, then reappear in the hall, run towards the front door, then disappear completely - thumbnail and all.  The adult sim who I keep in the bin for the purpose of moving teens in and out of places would then be unable to move out.  I tried exiting without saving several times, thinking it might be the Servo recharging by the mailbox causing the issue, but no matter what I did, Parker kept disappearing, so I ended up having to move the entire household out and back in again to fix the problem.  Which meant that I had to re-furnish it as well.  I think everything is good now.  I was able to move the adult out and Parker was chatting with one of the other boys when I exited.  Of course, now this unit is out of sync with the other units, but it couldn't be helped.  *Sigh*

Pleasantview 2/9/21

 Craig Larson (see PV 12/3/20) got a promotion on his first day on the job.  Alicia took the day off to stay at home with Cody and squeezed in a little work on her GED.  Later the couple decided to try for another baby.  I guess they want their kids to be really close in age.  Cody will grow into a toddler next round.

Lucas Broke (see PV 12/3/20) had an uneventful round.  He has plenty of skills, but not enough friends.  I had him invite some people over after work to try to rectify that, but he ignored them the whole time.  Guess that's why he doesn't have many friends, lol.
