I decided to move Cole Long (see PV 6/1/25) and his family to a new lot, as I didn't feel like dealing with the slow time glitch and, honestly, they needed a bigger house anyway. The timing was good as well, since we're at the beginning of the season. Anyway, they took out a mortgage to buy a house not too far from their old place in Pleasant Valley. They got settled in, Cole went off to work and the kids to school, and Brittany stayed home with Justin. She was able to find a job in Education right away, which is good for her LTW, but bad for the vacation days she'd racked up in Culinary. They'll make it work. She didn't have time to work on her master's, what with toddler skills to teach, pets to wrangle, and welcome wagons to welcome, but she did have her first pop, which (in the absence of the slow time glitch) means we'll see Baby Long in a couple rounds.
The Rusewicz family (see PV 6/1/25) was chaotic as usual. You may recall that Nancy was turned into a vampire a couple households ago. Being pregnant and broke did not help her situation. Her needs kept tanking and they couldn't afford to buy a coffin until Jace's vacation pay came in at 2 p.m.; I barely managed to keep her alive until then, but she pulled through. Consequently, I didn't have much time to worry about anyone else in the household, so it's good that they were able to take care of themselves for the most part. Judith's grades came up enough to keep the Social Worker away, so that was good. Marshall didn't know any girls to ask out on a date, so he went with a blind date from the matchmaker. However, since there was very little money left after buying the coffin, it didn't go that well. Jace spent most of his day cleaning in order to gain the last point he needs for promotion, but he's still not there yet. So not a great round for everyone else, but we kept mother and child alive, so I'm calling it a win.
Happy Simming!
