Gladys Bruty (see PV 5/2/25) got a promotion, Dale had a dream date with Jan Tellerman (his first of 50) and bought a car, and Joshua went out with friends. The younger kids didn't have much going on, but Jeannie did meet the other Jeannie Bruty in the neighborhood, which I found quite funny. Next round we should see the arrival of the new adopted family member.
Erik Swain (see PV 5/2/25) got promoted and he and Tina welcomed another baby girl, Dana. I've been trying to restart Tina's mother's animal shelter, but no strays seem to ever come by, so I'm reimagining the shelter as more of a rescue home - the difference being that, instead of adopting strays to give away to other sims, they can adopt pets from the pet adoption service and give them a good home. They have plenty of money and it would clear out some of the pets in the adoption pool, so that some new ones would generate. Since they both have the want for a pet right now, it makes sense to me.
The Kims (see PV 5/2/25) had a quiet round. Amar had the day off, while Melanie worked. They added a bird to their pet menagerie. Amar spent the day trying (but not quite managing) to teach one of the cats a skill for their job and making toy robots. Melanie finally gained the missing skill point she needs. On a side note, the couple's relationship is not looking too healthy at the moment, which is not very surprising, given that Melanie is carrying on multiple affairs; we'll see what develops for them in the future.
Joe and Sharlene Graham (see PV 5/5/25) welcomed a baby boy, who they named Joseph. Sadly, Joe didn't have much time to bond with his namesake - he passed away at age 66. Sharlene will have to carry on alone for now, but at least she has Claire to help out with the kids. Speaking of Claire, her stepfather's life insurance money allowed her to finally enroll in online classes to get her GED. The family also got a new puppy to celebrate Randall's child birthday.
Happy Simming!
