Megahood 6/30/22 (Belladonna)

Matlapin:  Omar's relationship with Sylvia Marie has continued to blossom and they're talking about moving in together.  Since Omar's place is too small, it makes sense for him to move into her apartment.  He hopes they allow pets; he'd hate to have to give up his cat.

Rutherford:  Leandra was elected to the congress!  To celebrate her scandal-free win, she invited over a young woman she knows and introduced her to Geoff in the hopes that he'll give up his affair for a nice single girl.  Geoff thought Ivy was nice enough, but not nearly as exciting as Samantha.

Contender:  Isabel decided to throw a mixer for some of her work colleagues.  The guest enjoyed themselves, but Isabel was so stressed about making sure there was enough food and drink and cleaning up dishes that she barely interacted with anyone at all.  After the guests had gone, she fell into bed, completely exhausted, only to be awakened a few short hours later by the burglar alarm.  Thanks to her state-of-the-art security system, the police were able to apprehend the intruder and Isabel was finally able to get some much-needed rest.

Patel:  Karan has been hyper focused on his latest novel recently, so he didn't get the chance to meet the headmaster when he came for dinner.  Keesa thought it would be a nice gesture, given Raj's recent acceptance to the exclusive private school in Belladonna Cove.  The headmaster was impressed with their home and their family and is looking forward to having Raj as a student.

Ejess:  Maida and Owen decided the time was right to move Downtown.  With Kevin starting high school, it just seemed like they wouldn't have a better opportunity.  They found a much larger apartment at Sim City Apartments.  It's still just two bedrooms, so the boys will have to share eventually, but there is significantly more space for a family of four (possibly five, if Ana decides to move back home after Uni).

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/29/22 (Bluewater/Belladonna)

Gieke:  The G.C. has finally started to turn a small profit for the Giekes.  They were able to get a puppy for Max, which he's been wanting for some time.  Things are starting to look up.

In Belladonna Cove...

Monty/Peterson:  Claudio Monty and Jessica Peterson decided to move in together.  They found a place they could afford at 240 Desmond Dr.  They had enough money left over for Claudio to buy a retail lot where he plans to build a car lot.  He'll keep his executive assistant job at least until the business is up and running.  And, of course, Jessica has her job as well, though she recently quit doing stand-up in favor of being a birthday party mascot.  The hours are tough for a vampire, but the money is better.  They'll definitely be needing the extra income, since they'll be paying nanny expenses for quite a while yet.  Joshua is not ready to start school yet, and then there will be the new baby to contend with.

Baldwin/Shibata:  Benjamin is completely focused on his pregnancy, leaving Benji to his own devices most of the time.  He's decided to channel his energy into his career, since he knows there's no hope of Benjamin even considering marriage until after the baby is born.

Gonzaga:  Jerome continues to work hard and spend most of his time alone, though he has met a few ladies recently who have piqued his interest.  He hasn't drummed up the nerve yet to ask any of them out, but he's working on it.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/28/22 (Bluewater)

Jacquet:  Gilbert has started dating a married woman from Strangetown.  He knows his parents won't approve, so he's kept it a secret.  He is, of course, unaware of his father's extracurricular activities with various different women.  Denise is in the dark about it all.

Greenman:  Rose is continuing her pursuit of the perfect grilled cheese sandwich.  When the mood strikes her, she'll make something on one of her crafting benches.  When she gets lonely, she'll go into town and find someone to chat with for a couple hours.  She's content.

Cooke:  Julien and Gloria received the shock of their lives when they became the parents of, not one, but TWO new babies.  They named the twins Liana and Luc, and just managed to squeeze their cribs into Julien's office.  They'll need to move to a bigger place sooner than they thought it seems.

Cleveland/Chesterson:  Jason and Stella's son Justin is just starting school, which leaves more time for Stella to work with her dogs and for Jason to do research for his job.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/27/22 (Bluewater)

Picaso:  Jessica entered a cooking competition to earn some extra money, but she didn't win unfortunately.  She was able to earn a little extra by making and selling candies.  They put nearly everything they have into "First Down", which is still not turning a profit.  The potential is there though.

Mendoza:  Now that Carmen is free of her husband, she's been able to openly pursue a multitude of men.  Unfortunately, one of them left a lasting gift in the form of a baby-to-be.  She'd thought she was too old for this, but apparently not.  She's not entirely sure who the father is, but she's pretty sure she can convince Makoto St. Julien that he's the one.  Maybe he'll move in and help her take care of her kids?

Ramirez:  The Ramirez family was rocked when Juan was abducted by aliens and returned with yet another bundle of joy on the way.  Theresa will soon be giving birth to their fourth child and now it seems they'll be adding a fifth as well.  They don't know where they'll find room for all these kids, but they'll make it work somehow.

Delarosa:  Mary and William continue to live life smoothly and effortlessly.  The only bump in the road for them has been their gardener's lack of competency recently.  Mary is very disappointed with all the weeds and leaves he left behind on his last visit.

Tinker:  As they wait for their youngest child to be born, Ron and Lauren are faced with their girls growing up.  Emily has started dating Soren Beaker; he's all she ever talks about.  Elizabeth thinks dating sounds awesome and wants to go on one of her own.  If their parents are feeling old now, just imagine how they'll feel by the time the last one starts dating.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/26/22 (Pleasantview/Bluewater)

Newbie:  Betty is overworked and exhausted.  She can't understand how she can hold down a full-time job, take full responsibility for the dogs' training, and still do the lion's share of caring for the toddler.  What does Bob do all day?  And why is the house a complete disaster area?

In Bluewater Village...

Larson:  Elise's greenhouse is nearly finished, which is good because winter will soon be upon them.  Alvin has been thinking they should have another baby, but Elise is not on board.  However, he's heard that men can become pregnant from alien encounters, so he's been developing his astronomy hobby of late.

Zarubin:  Darryl and Greg are excited to be starting high school.  Bring on the girls!  Now if only their mom would stop embarrassing them by hanging around the house in her underwear, life would be great.  Damion doesn't really notice any of the chaos around him because he's deep into the writing of his latest novel.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/25/22 (Pleasantview)

Goodie:  Faith continues to live a fairly solitary existence, apart from her pets.  She spends her free time cleaning up around the house, doing a little gardening, and painting when the mood strikes her.  She does get a bit lonely sometimes though.

Charming:  Celeste spends more time with the nanny and the dog than she does with her mother.  That might be for the best at this point, however, because Celeste feels mostly animosity towards Claire at this point.  She's not going to be anything like her mom when she grows up.

Goth:  Mortimer finished the 18th book in his series "The Goth Diaries".  Bella is looking forward to the birth of their first grandchild.  Montgomery is preparing to leave for college.  Mortimer and Bella are hoping Alexander will return home after college.

O'Mackey:  Jason took Gvaudoin out for a celebratory dinner after he got a new job as a comic book artist.  He told her he'd like to think about having another baby.  Though she didn't close the door on the possibility of another child, she's not ready right now.  She wants to get back to work and do something other than change diapers and help with homework for a little while first.

Mashuga:  Frankie had a blind date recently with Samantha Cordial.  She's a nice kid, but he doesn't see a future there.  He's not really interested in settling down in any event.  He is, however, looking forward to his chihuahua giving birth to a litter of puppies soon.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/24/22 (Pleasantview)

Matlapin:  Adam still hasn't proposed to Darleen and she's beginning to weary of waiting.  She's found herself thinking about PT on more than one occasion and wondering if she should have pursued him when she had the chance.

Gavigan:  Nathan has apparently lost his chance with Jessica now as well, given that she's moved in with Claudio Monty.  He knows he needs to move on with his life, but he's still hopelessly hung up on Jessica.

Dreamer:  Whenever Davis and Delilah get the chance, they throw parties, inviting over their diverse group of friends.  They love watching the connections that are made and the new friendships that are formed.  They've even been responsible for a few romances.

Kat:  Tara still hasn't found a job, but it's almost a relief, since there's always so much work to be done at home.  To add to her stress level, one of her cats has gone missing.  She reported it and is hoping someone finds her little darling soon.

Bachelor/Jones:  Michael and Chris are settling into living together, though Chris is still not willing to talk about marriage.  She's on maternity leave from work, and she's using the time off to spend more time at her shop.  She'd like to get it well-established by the time they inevitably have to move.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/23/22 (Pleasantview)

Hick:  Elden continues to operate with his head buried in the sand.  He took Lucia out and later was invited out with a group of friends.  He took very little notice of any of the women he met, only having eyes for Lucia, who is unlikely to ever want to marry him.

Broke: Flat's supervisor noticed his attention to detail and asked him to move into the fact checking department.  It's more money, but not as interesting as his old job reviewing movies.

Broke:  Mary Lu got a sizable bonus after locating a whale her team had been tracking.  She'd like to use the money to get a nicer place, but Buck thinks they should blow it on a beach vacation.

Tinker/Taylor:  Stephen is still waiting for the gossip surrounding him to die down before he applies for another lab job, but at least his supervisor let him move inside the convenience store to work as a cashier.  It beats pumping gas all day.

Oldie:  Mary Sue has been getting bored in her solitary life of study and caring for her dogs, so she decided to get a job working in construction.  Her magic is bound to come in handy, right?

Pleasant:  After years of working as a hostess, Diane's manager finally promoted her to wait staff.  At this rate, she'll be a senior citizen before she's allowed to chop tomatoes.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/22/22 (Pleasantview)

In Pleasantview...

Burb:  Tiffany got a new job giving lectures at SSU.  It's quite a step up from high school teacher, so she's pretty proud of it.  John continues to date Jessica Peterson, even though she's now moved in with Claudio Monty.  Whether he's completely clueless about her double life, or whether he's just not ready to settle down yet and having a girlfriend who is unavailable suits him just fine, remains to be seen.

Oldie:  Herb felt that his job as a piano tuner was getting to be too much for him, so he got a job at a coffee shop, where he also is in charge of the music.  He continues to be obsessed with Jessica Peterson.  He called her and they had a great chat.  He's sure she's into him too.  He can't wait to see her again.

That's it for today.  I got distracted building a "converted barn" house on the empty lot next door to Herb Oldie.  Until tomorrow, Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/21/22 (Sim State/Academie Le Tour)

Pinenut Plaza Dorm:  Jaya Patel made friends with the Cordial twins when they lived here, so it wasn't too hard for them to convince her to join the Tri-Vars.  After meeting Jodie and Natasha, she knew it was the right move and as soon as she finished freshman year, she moved to the Tri-Var House, where she'll have the added bonus of being nearer to her boyfriend Chester Gieke.

Moving over to Academie Le Tour...

Boggs Hall Dorm:  Alexander Goth has had some trouble making friends here, though there is one girl he has his eye on, if he ever gets the nerve to do more than chat awkwardly with her.  He's majoring in literature, which makes his father happy, but he's not sure if he's the one to carry on the family legacy.

Romara Dorm:  Ana Ejess is a physics major.  She'll be graduating soon and she's looking forward to moving in with her boyfriend Caliban Gale, who graduated a while ago.  They don't get to see each other as much as she'd like, so she can't wait to finish school so they can be together all the time.

Lam Plaza Dorm:  Three students live here: Lucia Viejo, Shane Ray, and Denise Vandermorgan.  Denise has just arrived, and she really wants to make friends with Lucia and Shane, but they're pretty wrapped up in each other.  They've been dating since high school and chose the same college so they could be together.  Maybe if they come up for air at some point, Denise will get her chance.

Casteroff Dorm:  John Mole is a loner.  He's only managed to make one friend in over three years at Uni.  He just doesn't have time for socializing.  Why did he think majoring in physics would be a good choice?

Mille House Dorm:  Don Lothario and Kristen Loste* have been engaged for several years now.  When they met it was practically love at first sight.  They've been inseparable ever since.  Kristen's vampirism is sometimes a challenge, but they do their best to work around it.  After graduation, they'll be moving into Don's family home in Old Town.

*Kristen "Singles" is now Kristen Loste.

And that completes the first round of the Megahood!  Tomorrow we'll be cycling back around to Pleasantview.  Until then, Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/20/22 (La Fiesta Tech/Sim State)

At La Fiesta Tech...

Oresha-Hoh-Var Fraternity:  Chester Gieke is the only member at the moment.  Pledges have really been scarce in recent years.  Chester is a drama major, who is planning to join the military when he graduates.  He's dating Jaya Patel and has been thinking about proposing.

Tri-Fruhm Sorority:  Current members are Dina Caliente, Erin Beaker*, and Patricia Wan.  Dina is a drama major and is planning on a career at the SCIA, Erin is majoring in political science but she's pretty sure she wants to be a restaurant critic, and Patricia's major is psychology - she hopes to be a doctor someday.  Dina is pretty serious about her girlfriend; she may even propose soon.  Erin and Patricia have yet to find Mr. Right, though Erin does date quite a bit.  Patricia would probably try to hit on her friend Leod McGreggor if only he wasn't already involved with someone else.

Desert Dorm:  Sharon Wirth is the only resident of Desert Dorm.  She's a history major.  After college she plans to move back home, at least for a little while, to retrieve her cats and begin breeding them.  She's a little sad that she hasn't made a love connection yet, but there's still a little time before graduation.

*Erin "Singles" is now Erin Beaker.

Over at SSU...

Landgraab Dorm:  Chastity Gere and Opal Raymond live here.  Chastity is a math major, and Opal is studying biology.  Both their boyfriends used to live here as well, but they decided to join a fraternity together and moved into the frat house.  They're okay though.  They don't mind having a little girl time before they graduate and move in with their guys.

Goth Dorm:  Cordelia Capp is the only student at Goth Dorm.  She's a math major.  She's made friends with a few of her dormmates, but she's fairly solitary most of the time.  She likes to devote a lot of time to her studies.  She's not sure what she'll do after graduation, but she's unlikely to move back home - it's far too crowded there.

Green/Caliente:  Gabriel Green and Nina Caliente live at 10 Peanut St.  They moved in together after they got engaged a few years ago.  They're both economics majors and are looking forward to graduating soon.  They haven't decided where to live after they finish school, but it'll likely be either Belladonna Cove or Strangetown, so that they can be close to one set of parents.

Urele-Oresha-Cham Fraternity:  Jason Larson and Nervous Specter decided to join the frat house, so they could have at least a few wild parties before they graduate.  Their girlfriends didn't really mind them leaving the dorm because they're not that far away and the girls always get invited to the parties.  The place is a real mess though because neither of the guys is very interested in cleaning up.

Tri-Var Sorority:  There are four "sisters" here, though two of them actually are sisters: Kimberly and Samantha Cordial, Jodie Larson, and Natasha Una.  They're all doing well enough in their classes, but the only one with a steady boyfriend is Samantha.  She's been dating Timothy Riley for a while now.  She's not sure why he hasn't proposed yet, but it'll probably be any day now, right?  The other three ladies have been on a series of bad blind dates.  One of Kimberly's dates was the Count, who immediately bit her, then went on to bite her twin as well.  She decided to get cured - no way she was spending eternity going on bad dates - but Samantha chose to remain a vampire.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/19/22 (Downtown)

Loste/Grove:  Arty Loste lives at 201 Custer Blvd.  After his marriage broke up, he decided to found a place for sims like him - a place where sims can woohoo whomever they want, whenever they want, without recrimination.  So, basically, a brothel.  He's never been happier in his life.  He has a daughter from his marriage, plus a few accidental kids that he doesn't acknowledge, an awesome bachelor pad, and a dog.  What more could a guy want from life?  Knut Grove have lived here for a while now, ever since the whole Cynthia/Lyla debacle.  It's easier than trying to sneak around on whichever woman he's living with at the moment.  He's fathered three children with three different women, but he's not in any of their lives.  Who needs the hassle?  He doesn't intend to be a lifer like Arty, but there's nothing wrong with sowing a few wild oats, is there?

Peterson:  Jeff Peterson lives at 206 Custer Blvd. with his young daughter Marcie.  He also has an adult daughter, Jessica, who lives in Belladonna Cove.  His ex-wife, Melora, was incredibly surprised when he got custody of Marcie after their divorce, but Jeff can be very charming when he wants to be and it wasn't that hard to convince the judge that Melora is too wrapped up in her job and training her precious pets to be a real parent to their child.  Not to say that single parenthood has been easy.  Money is always tight, but he's making it work.  He's hoping to start an online financial consulting business soon, so that he can be home with Marcie all the time.

Curious/Patel/Ramirez/Hurt:  Pascal Curious, his girlfriend Priya Patel, and Checo Ramirez all moved into one half of the duplex at 37 Greaves Ave. after college.  Checo asked his boyfriend, Joel Hurt, to move in shortly thereafter.  Pascal is uber focused on his medical career, while Priya and Joel work together at the lab, specializing in environmental issues.  Checo is unemployed at the moment, but he's sure something will come up soon.  The four get along great as roommates, but Pascal and Priya will likely be moving out soon, though perhaps only to the other side of the duplex, because they're expecting a baby in the near future.  Priya keeps hoping for an engagement ring before the baby is born, but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen.

And that's all the Downtown residents!  Tomorrow we'll head over to La Fiesta Tech.  Happy Simming!

Saturday, June 18, 2022

Megahood 6/18/22 (Downtown)

Tricou:  The Tricou* family lives in the House of Fallen Trees.  Though Jennicor passed away some time ago, Jon Smith was turned into a vampire and thus, is still alive.  Jon's daughters, Jennail and Nylissit, and their husbands, Kvornan and Kiernan, also live here.  Gvaudoin, who is Nylissit and Kiernan's daughter, got married after college and therefore, did not return to the manor.  Fricorith, who is Jennail and Kvornan's son, did return home after college, however, and is working as an architect's apprentice, which is a tough job for him given that he too was turned into a vampire while at Uni.  Jennail and Kvornan also have a younger son, Kelten, and a baby on the way.  Jennail works as a substitute teacher, Kvornan is on the vice squad at the Sim City Police Department, and Nylissit has her heart set on being a club owner as soon as she saves up enough money to buy one.  Needless to say, there's never a dull moment at the House of Fallen Trees, whether it's Jon or Fricorith's romantic pursuits, constant arrivals and departures of the carpool, or a screaming toddler's demands.

Zarubin:  Wanda Zarubin lives at 31 Mendoza Lane with her twin sons, Rodney and Wally.  She's not close to her parents because they disapprove of her life of crime.  Wanda can't afford to be picky about how she earns a living and has been involved in everything from petty theft to counterfeiting.  After a close call with the police, however, she's been forced to lie low for a while.  Good thing she has a little cash stashed away for a rainy day, since the twins' father is no help financially.

Gale:  Caliban Gale lives at 30 Mendoza Lane.  He heard about Wanda's crew almost getting busted, but, as a bookie, he's pretty low on the cops' priority list, so he's not too worried about getting picked up.  For now, he'll just try to keep a low profile.

Monty/Augustine/Gossamer:  Claudio Monty, Elena Augustine, and Oberon Gossamer are roommates who live at 107 Custer Blvd.  Claudio is an executive assistant but hopes to own his own business someday.  Elena is a teacher's assistant and Oberon is currently unemployed.  Claudio recently asked his girlfriend, Jessica Peterson, to turn him into a vampire so that they could be together forever.  Consequently, he's moving to Belladonna Cove to be with her.  Elena and Oberon have always had chemistry, but the timing was always off.  One or the other was always dating someone else.  Now that they live together, however, it was inevitable that one thing would eventually lead to another.  They wound up in bed together and now they have to decide what to do about their respective significant others.

*Though I'm not following matrilineal rules here, for the purpose of creating the Tricou family, it was just so much simpler to go ahead and give the husbands the Tricou name.  I didn't know what their names were supposed to be anyway, and they had to have teens, which would have meant a lot of pre-playing just to get them set up properly, all for the sake of last names.  So I just went with it.  Gvaudoin took Jason O'Mackey's name and Fricorith and Kelten will keep Tricou.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/17/22 (Downtown)

Cho:  Etokas Cho lives at Oak View Condos.  He's a legal biller but hopes to become a full-fledged attorney someday.  In the meantime, money is tight; he's having trouble keeping up with the rent for his swanky apartment.  He usually takes his mind off that by having parties and surrounding himself with friends.  Recently, he's been dating Vivian Karana, but he's not sure about her motives.  She's got three kids already and he's not sure he should get involved in her messed-up life.

DeBateau:  Armand DeBateau lives above Etokas at Oak View.  He makes a pretty good living as a paralegal, but what he really wants to do is break into politics.  He thinks he can really make a difference.  Work is his primary focus, which prevents him from having much of a social life at the moment.  Maybe when things are more settled professionally.

Patel:  Ramir Patel lives on the third floor at Oak View.  He's got a job as a file clerk in a law office, but it's really just a steppingstone to the corporate world as far as he's concerned.  He really wants to make his parents proud.  He dates occasionally, but nothing serious right now.

Traveller/Wirth:  Trent and Trisha Traveller live at Boothbay Apartments with their adult daughter Tina and her wife Hannah Wirth.  Tina is a stand-up comedian and Hannah is looking for a position as a restaurant critic.  Trisha has worked a number of different jobs over the years, but at present she's working as a hostess.  Trent goes off to the bank every day, but he doesn't exactly work there - it's more like a heist type situation.  What his family doesn't know won't hurt...well, him.

Miller:  Opal Miller lives next door to Trent and his family.  She's part of his crew and was recently allowed to participate in one of the robberies, instead of just being the driver.  It was a thrill, and she can't wait to do it again.  If her strait-laced parents ever found out what she does for a living, it would kill them, which is why she doesn't plan to tell them.  She's been dating an older man who also lives in the building, but she's not sure how serious it is yet.  Her parents probably wouldn't be happy about that either, but it'd definitely be the lesser of the two evils.

Wolosenko:  Rebecca Wolosenko lives at Boothbay as well.  She works as a professional party guest, which is great work if you can find it.  She gets paid good money to attend stuffy parties and liven them up with her sparkling personality.  She loves it.  She also loves the single life.  She has a couple of guys she booty calls from time to time, but she's not interested in anything serious.  However, after a night with Joseph Martin, she suspects she might be pregnant, which was not part of her plan.

Smith: PT* and Dagmar Smith also live at Boothbay.  They're newlyweds, but they've lived together for some time.  PT spent many years on his own, living in Strangetown.  He became best friends with Darleen Matlapin but, contrary to what many expected, that never turned into a love connection.  A blind date resulted in PT meeting Dagmar for the first time.  He knew immediately that she was the one he wanted to spend his life with.  Now they're married and life couldn't be more wonderful for PT, but will that change when he finds out his wife's dirty little secret?

*Poli Tech 9.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/16/22 (Strangetown/Downtown)

Beaker:  Bjorn and Gundrun Beaker live at 101 Road to Nowhere.  They have three children: Loki moved home after college and works as a science teacher, Erin* is away at college now, and Soren is in high school.  The couple has a rocky relationship, but for now they're sticking it out.  Gundrun works as a roadie and is away from home a lot, which makes it easier for both of them to maintain extramarital relationships.  Soren can't wait to get out of this town and this house; he can't imagine why Loki would come back here.

*Erin "Singles" is now a Beaker.

Moving Downtown...

Karana:  Vivian Karana lives in the Sim City Apartments with her three children, twins Angelina and Roma, and Veronica.  She hasn't been close to her parents in a long while; they don't approve of her life choices.  She used to live in Desiderata Valley, but things got complicated when she was seeing both Buzz Grunt and Rodney Zarubin (who both lived in her building) at the same time.  Buzz fathered the twins and Rodney fathered Veronica.  The apartment was too crowded, Buzz was pressuring her to get married, and she just needed to get away from all of it, so she moved Downtown to a larger apartment where she's trying to raise her children on a drive-thru clerk's salary (she was manager, but got demoted).  This is not how she imagined her life would turn out.

Caer/Broke/Aspir:  Olivia Caer, Skip Broke, Susie Broke, and Victor Aspir all share the apartment next door to Vivian at Sim City Apartments.  Olivia and Skip are engaged, and Susie and Victor are a couple.  Skip and Susie, who are cousins, shared a house together in college; they've always been close.  When Skip proposed to Olivia, she moved in as well.  Susie started dating Victor during senior year, and when they all graduated, they decided to move Downtown together to save on rent.  Olivia and Susie found jobs right away, but Skip and Victor have been struggling to find something.  Money is okay for the moment, but Skip in particular will need to find something soon, as Olivia has just informed him that she's pregnant.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/15/22 (Strangetown)

Salamis:  Grainne and Xanthos Salamis live at Tech Center Flats with their adult daughter Circe.  Grainne is a musician and Xanthos just recently got hired as a legal secretary, after being fired from his last law firm.  It's a step down, and he'll have to work his way back up again, but it's better than hanging around the apartment all day.  Grainne is happy about that as well.  It's so much harder to get in quality time with her boyfriends when her husband is always home.  Xanthos has no problem with that.  He always goes to his girlfriends' places.  Circe doesn't even notice all the infidelity going on around her.  She's much too focused on her work as a private investigator, and trying to track down every possible lead.  She doesn't have time for her own love life, much less her parents'.

Loste/Zarubin:  Daisy Loste and Keith Zarubin also live at Tech Center Flats, along with their three children, twins Sage and Wendy, and their infant son Cameron.  Daisy also has an older daughter, Kristen*, who is in college.  She and Kristen's father divorced ages ago and then she met Keith and fell head over heels.  She really wants to get married, but Keith wants to wait until he's more established in his medical career.  The family will likely move Downtown soon because their small apartment is just not big enough for their growing family.  It'll be closer to the hospital anyway and maybe Daisy can finally pursue her dream of opening a photography studio.

Ramaswami/Kody:  Sanjay Ramaswami and girlfriend Tiffany Kody live at Tech Center Flats as well.  Sanjay is an up-and-comer in the paranormal industry, while Tiffany would be happy just to get a job in a real restaurant.  She's sick of working fast food.  They've only been together for a short time, but Tiffany's already thinking about marriage, while Sanjay is definitely not on that page yet.

Caliente:  Flamenco and Nighat Caliente live at 2 Cover Up Rd.  A more perfect couple, you'd be hard-pressed to find.  They are both devoted to family and want nothing more than to have ten children and lots of grandchildren someday.  In fact, they already have eight of those ten kids: twins Dina and Nina, who are at Uni, Gina, who is in high school, Antonio, also a teen, Tina, a child, Ricardo, who is just a toddler, and newborn twins Katrina and Sabrina.  In between births, they finance their brood by travelling to far away destinations to seek out valuable treasures.  It's been lucrative so far, allowing them to support their family in luxury.

*Kristen "Singles" is now Kristen Loste.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/14/22 (Strangetown)

Curious:  Glarn and Kitty Curious live at 10 Dead End Lane with six of their children.  They've had nine kids in total: Jenny (who lives in Desiderata), Pascal (who lives Downtown), Vidcund (who moved back home after college), Lazlo (who died of heat stroke as a teen), Lola & Chloe* (alien twins who are developmentally challenged), Simeon (an alien teen), Minerva (an alien teen), and Isobel (an alien child).  With so many kids to raise, neither Glarn nor Kitty have made much progress in their respective careers, but they feel the sacrifice is worth it.  They're thrilled to have Vidcund back home to help out, though there's a good chance he'll add a few more babies to household, given that he's pursuing a career in astronomy**.

Grunt:  Chip and Missy Grunt live in the Parkview Condos with their twin daughters, Lynette and Sandy, who just started high school.  Their adult son Buzz lives in Desiderata Valley.  The Grunts have always struggled to make ends meet, but Missy is determined to make something out of her salon.  It's not much right now, basically just a roadside stand, but she has big plans for Miss Popularity going forward.  Chip works as a P.I., which isn't as lucrative as he hoped it would be, but he finds the work enjoyable and hopefully the experience will pay off in the long run.

Dane/Capp:  Cornwall Dane and Regan Capp also live in Parkview Condos, along with Cornwall's three alien children: Crispin (child) and newborn twins, Clarissa and Cosette.  Cornwall has been waiting years for a job to open up at the SCIA and finally it happened.  Regan was recently given her own project to lead at the lab as well, which will really help the finances.  That's great for them, as they'll likely need to move soon.  Two adults and three kids in a two-bedroom apartment is not going to work forever.***

Dreamer/Capp:  Darren Dreamer and Goneril Capp live at Parkview Condos as well.  Goneril and her sister Regan used to share an apartment, but then they both fell in love and moved in with their boyfriends.  They still live right next door to one another though.  Darren and Goneril are a bit of an odd couple; Goneril is a scientific scholar, while Darren prefers pseudo-science, working as a tarot card reader.  Nevertheless, they make it work somehow and, in any event, it's a more stable relationship than either of their previous ones.

*I separated all the "Singles" ladies and put them into their correct families with their correct surnames.

**You may have noticed I have some non-traditional "careers" that I use.  They're not actual careers, just different ways of making money for the most part.  In the astronomy career, sims stargaze and hopefully get those $500 payouts for "discovering planets/constellations".  Authors write novels, homemakers don't earn any money, but they take care of the house and children, pet breeders sell their pets' offspring, etc.

***Cornwall and Regan are a couple that are "supposed" to be together.  I know it's canon for the Capps to be matrilineal, but I'm not doing that here, so if they should get married in the future, Regan will be taking his name.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/13/22 (Veronaville/Strangetown)

Capp:  Consort and Contessa Capp live at Capp Manor.  They have five children in total: Goneril, who lives in Strangetown, Regan, who also lives in Strangetown, Kent, who recently graduated and moved back home with his fiancĂ© Brandi Newbie, Cordelia, who is studying at SSU, and Calista, who is a preteen.  Consort is disappointed in most of his children's life choices so far (his baby girl, Calista, can do no wrong), both personal and professional, his son in particular.  He researched Brandi's family, and she is most definitely not marriage material for a Capp, but now that she's pregnant, he'll have to accept the idea.  His only hope is that they'll get married before the baby is born to prevent further scandal.

In Strangetown...

Nigmos:  Creon Nigmos lives on the military base in Strangetown, where he is a junior officer.  He lives in a family unit with his two daughters, Ophelia and Piper.  His wife, Willow, died of heat stroke when Piper was a baby.  Since then he's been raising the girls on his own.  However, he proposed to his girlfriend, Andrea Hogan, recently so that may soon change.

Delarosa:  Florence Delarosa lives in the women's barracks on the military base.  She works in elite forces.  At the moment, she's the only woman on base, which gets a little lonely, but she's determined to make it to the rank of general someday.  As a child, her mother always talked about how much she regretted not going into the military, and it sparked a desire in Florence to do it herself.

Dottore:  Olivia Dottore lives in the Strangetown Trailer Park.  She works as a field researcher at the lab.  She's been dating one of her professors since college and finally decided they should move in together.  It means they'll need to find a bigger place, since Olivia's trailer doesn't even have room for a double bed.

Arlecchino:  Hero Arlecchino also lives in the Strangetown Trailer Park.  She makes a living as a hypnotist.  She dated Kent Capp in college and was sure that she'd steal him away from Brandi eventually, but now they're engaged, so that's probably not going to happen.  She's decided to turn her attention to her very cute landlord instead.

Specter/Tellerman:  Olive Specter lives at 13 Dead End Lane with her fiancĂ© Jeff Tellerman.  Her son, Nervous, is in college.  She works for the SCIA.  After the "event" that led to Nervous' birth, all Olive wanted was for him to live a normal, happy life.  She put all her time and energy into making him happy.  Now that he's grown, however, it's Olive's turn to live.  When she met Jeff, she knew he was The One.  They've been engaged for a while now and Olive couldn't be more thrilled.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/12/22 (Veronaville)

Ng:  Samantha* and Alon Ng live at 46 Bard Blvd.  They got married right after college and are now expecting their first child.  Samantha is excited about the baby, but also very tired of being pregnant and looking forward to getting back to work as a teacher's aide at the local elementary school.  Alon is going to stay home with the baby so they can avoid the expense of a nanny.

Summerdream:  Elvin and Fae Summerdream live at 120 Via Veronaville.  Their adult daughter, Titania, and her boyfriend, Leod McGreggor, also live here.  Elvin and Fae's marriage is more or less over at this point, after the birth of "their" son, Cam, who looks nothing like anyone in the family, reveling the true nature of his wife's "consulting" business.  Now they live separate lives for the most part.  Titania was hoping that the announcement that she's pregnant would bring the family back together but, though they're both excited about becoming grandparents, it had no effect on their feelings for one another.

Norman:  Albany Norman lives at 19 Chorus Ct.  He's been hopelessly in love with Zephyretta Gossamer for years but, though she throws him a crumb on occasion, she's never really taken a serious interest in him, preferring to stay with her husband.  Recently, however, he's made a new friend in Melanie DeBateau.  She's trying to make things work with her husband, but Albany knows it's only a matter of time before he strays again.  And when he does, Albany will be there to pick up the pieces.

*Samantha "Ottomas" was added to the Chesterson family.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/11/22 (Veronaville)

Monty/Goth:  Antonio Monty and Genevra Goth have just moved in together at 100 Via Veronaville.  However, now that Antonio's sister, Bianca, is moving out of Monty Ranch, his parents have invited them to move in there.  It would certainly be more cost effective for them, and it's not as though Genevra's parents have the room.  Her sister, Cassandra, is too busy preparing for two babies and her brothers are younger, plus they really wanted to live here in Veronaville, so it couldn't be more perfect for them.

Kim/Pachis/Teatherton:  Robert Kim and Sophia Pachis live at 30 Poet Place.  Sophia's friend, Alexandra Teatherton, recently moved in with them to help with expenses.  Robert is a high school teacher and Sophia is on the VPD.  They've been engaged for a long time and their wedding date is finally coming up.  Naturally, Sophia's older sister, Jessica, had to go and get married before her, even though she (Sophia) has been engaged longer.  At least Sophia's wedding will be nicer, since they've had so much time to save up.  Alexandra has been crushing on Jerome Gonzaga for a while now.  She's hoping that she'll soon be the one at the altar.

Gossamer:  Sprite and Zephyretta Gossamer live at 95 Bard Blvd. with their two younger children, Desdemona and Rune.  Their son Oberon moved to Downtown after college.  Sprite is an author of children's books.  He and Zephyretta have had their marital struggles, but they're in a good place now...as long as he doesn't find out about any of her affairs, that is.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/10/22 (Veronaville)

 In Veronaville...

Monty:  Isabella and Patrizio Monty live at the Monty Ranch.  They have three adult children: Bianca, who lives with them, and twins Antonio and Claudio, who live elsewhere.  Bianca's fiancĂ©, Connor Weir, also lives here, as well as their twin daughters, Bridgett and Mackenzie.  Bianca and Connor recently announced they're expecting another baby as well, so they'll likely need to find a place of their own, as there just isn't room here.  They'll certainly miss having the extra help with the twins though.

Smith/Zarubin:  Melissa Smith* and Rodney Zarubin live at 20 Via Veronaville.  They just moved here from Desiderata Valley, where they lived in a one-bedroom apartment with their two daughters (Monique and Kendra, who is from an abduction).  When Melissa became pregnant again, they knew they had to move to a bigger place.  The house isn't a lot bigger (only two bedrooms), but good enough for now.   Baby Jerome was born shortly after they moved in.  Luckily the second bedroom is big enough for the three kids to share.  They're not wealthy, their place is always a disaster, and their relationship is not terribly stable, with cheating on both sides, so it remains to be seen what becomes of this family.

Mendoza:  Lisa Mendoza lives at 84 Via Veronaville.  She moved here to look for a teaching position (and to put some distance between her and her family), but so far nothing's opened up.  She's working as the school mascot in the meantime.  When her sister Olivia called to tell her that their parents had split up and their dad had moved out, Lisa wasn't particularly surprised.  She'd witnessed plenty of her mother's indiscretions growing up and knew it would only be a matter of time before her dad found out.  She maintains friendly contact with them both, but tries to stay out of their drama.  As far as her own love life goes, she's been dating Fricorith Tricou since college, but when he moved back to his family home after graduation, she decided instead to come here on her own.  She's just not sure she's ready to make any serious commitments, not to mention that his family is also a lot to take in.  For now, she's happy living on her own and keeping their relationship casual.

*Formerly Melissa Roomie.  I gave her the last name Smith from the console version of The Sims.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/9/22 (Riverblossom/Old Town)

Ottomas:  Dora Ottomas and her son Peter live at 112 Riverbend Rd., where Peter manages a small farm.  Dora has been successful in business, becoming vice president of her company, but she's never been able to find that special someone.  Peter seems to be following in her footsteps in that area; he seems to prefer the company of his pets to that of other sims.

Teatherton:  Johnathan and Sarah Teatherton live at 115 Riverbend Rd. with their younger daughter Rachel.  Their older daughter, Alexandra, lives in Veronaville.  Sarah is the owner of Sarah's Whole Foods Market, where she sells organic produce and fresh fish.  It was tough going for a few years with the business, but it's beginning to pick up now.  Money is still tight, but Sarah is determined to succeed.

Over in Old Town*......

Lothario:  Adriana and Nicolo Lothario live in the Lothario family estate at 78 Maple St.  Nicolo inherited the mansion from his father Carmelo when he passed away.  The couple has one son, Don, who is away at Uni, but will return to the family home after graduation.  Their marriage is solid, though Nicolo doesn't understand why Adriana insists on working when there's no need to do so.  Adriana did not grow up in the lap of luxury, so she's not about to give up her ambition.

Pleasant:  Cassandra and Daniel Pleasant live at 77 Maple St., aka the Goth Mansion.  Cassandra's grandparents were at odds with one another for some reason she never understood.  So, when their children decided to marry, neither couple was pleased, resulting in them cutting Mortimer and Bella out of their lives.  Cassandra's Uncle Michael continued to maintain a relationship with his sister, though they kept it quiet.  Apparently, the bias did not extend to grandchildren, because Cornelia and Gunther always adored Cassandra and when the time came, they left everything they owned to her.  She and Daniel met in college, and it was practically love at first sight.  After graduation, they moved into the mansion and, after a long engagement, finally tied the knot.  Daniel's parents were a little sad that he didn't move back to their family home, especially after the loss of his sister, but they couldn't blame him for accepting such a gracious offer.  At least he's still close by and, perhaps one of his children will want to live there when they grow up.  Speaking of children, Cassandra got pregnant on their honeymoon, and in a surprising twist of fate, Daniel was abducted shortly after they returned home.  The babies are due in the very near future.

*If you're wondering why Old Town, which should be a suburb of Pleasantview, is being played now instead of after Pleasantview, it's because the Riverblossom map has that small area across the bridge which was the perfect place to build the few lots needed for Old Town.  Pleasantview does not have a comparable area.  I just pretend that Old Town is a separate small town that is in between the two larger towns.

And that's it for Old Town.  There are only three residential lots there (and one is vacant), which makes it a very small town indeed.  Tomorrow we'll head over to Veronaville.  Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/8/22 (Riverblossom)

Goldstein:  Betty Goldstein lives alone at 204 Old Farm Rd.  She inherited the farm from her parents with whom she lived.  Betty has always been solitary, preferring to read or write environmental texts, rather than go out or have parties.  She was very close to her parents and their deaths have left her feeling even more isolated.  Her closest friend is Catherine Viejo, though they don't see one another as much as they used to because Catherine's family keeps her busy.  Betty used to dream of having a husband and children someday, but at this point in her life, she feels that someday has already passed her by.

Roth:  Sara Roth lives at 208 Welsh Lane with her teen son Shane.  Sara has suffered a lot of tragedy in her life.  First, her son Morty died of food poisoning while at college.  She and her husband Cassidy were devastated by the loss of their only child.  So it was with bittersweet joy that they welcomed another son, Shane, a short time later.  However, when Shane was just a child, Cassidy was struck by lightning and killed instantly.  Sara was heartbroken once more.  Since then, she has devoted her life to her child, foregoing relationships and even friendships.  Lately, however, she's begun to wonder what life will be like once Shane leaves home and she's all alone?

Shikibu/Martin:  Nobutaka and Victoria Shikibu live at 202 Welsh Lane with their daughter Cleo and her new husband Andrew Martin.  Since Cleo is their only child, they were keen on her moving back to the family home after college.  It seemed like a good deal to Andrew, whose parents are divorced, and neither would have room for them.  Life has been such a whirlwind for the young couple lately.  They graduated college, moved in with Cleo's parents, got married, Andrew got drafted to the minor leagues, and they just found out that Cleo is pregnant.  Life is good.

O'Mackey:  Prudence and Seth O'Mackey live at 211 Huckleberry Lane with their younger son, Gabe, and his wife* Elizabeth.  Gabe and Liz moved in with them after graduation, right on the heels of their older son, Jason, and his family moving out.  Prudence misses her grandchildren terribly, but is hopeful that maybe she'll have some more in the near future?  She doesn't know Liz that well, but she definitely admires her spunk.  The first thing she did upon settling in was to apply for a job with the RHPD.  They didn't have any openings, but Prudence, who is a desk sergeant, was happy to put in a good word for her, so as soon as something opens up, she's sure to get it.  Gabe has his heart set on opening a movie theater in Riverblossom Hills.  He purchased a small lot in town near the bookstore and has been overseeing the construction.  He can't wait to get it up and running.

Viejo:  Catherine and Julio Viejo live on a small farm at 202 Town Center Rd. with two of their three daughters.  Their oldest daughter, Lucia, was sent to live with Catherine's sister, Victoria Shikibu, when she was in high school because they just didn't have the means to support her.  While she was living with her aunt and uncle, Lucia became very close to her cousin Cleo, a friendship that endures to this day.  Charlotte is now in high school and her baby sister, Margarita, is brand new.  The family's finances have improved in recent years, so neither Charlotte, nor Margarita, should have to be shipped off to relatives.

Chesterson:  James and Sally Chesterson are empty nesters who live at 147 Huckleberry Lane.  Their two daughters are grown.  Stella lives in Bluewater Village with her boyfriend and her son, while Samantha** is married, living in Veronaville, and expecting her first child.  Sally always wanted to have a third child, but time is running out for that.  At least she's made something of a name for herself as a painter, which is more than she can say for her philandering husband, who has been working in the fast-food industry for most of his adult life.

Augustine:  Frida and Miguel Augustine live at 125 Huckleberry Lane with their teen son Jose.  Their adult daughter Elena lives Downtown.  The Augustines have always struggled financially, a situation that has been made even worse over the past decade because Frida was turned into a vampire.  They obviously could not afford a coffin for her rest in, so she had to fight to stay alive on a daily basis, leaving her exhausted at work.  Consequently, holding down a job for any length of time has been challenging.  When Miguel heard that the matchmaker might have a cure for vampirism, he dipped into their precious savings to buy a potion from her.  Then he and Jose begged Frida to take it and regain her life.  She agreed and, miraculously, the potion worked, returning her to normal.  Now if only she can get her old job back...

Martin/Caliente:  Linda Martin and Tango Caliente live at 102 Firefly Pass with their two daughters, Sharon and Pamela.  Linda also has an adult son, Andrew, from her first marriage, who has recently married into the Shikibu family.  Linda and Tango met through their jobs in athletics and there was an instant connection.  Linda was still married at the time, but that didn't stop her from going after what she wanted.  Her husband caught her in the act and their divorce was swift and final.  Tango moved in right away (he'd been living with his brother and sister-in-law and their six children, so he was more than ready to get out of there) and they learned Linda was pregnant shortly thereafter.  Their relationship is tumultuous, to say the least.  They are both unfaithful, but always seem to come back together in the end.  In fact, Linda recently discovered that she is pregnant yet again.

*I think I mentioned this before, but Elizabeth can't actually get married for some reason, so I'm treating them as husband and wife until (hopefully) they're able to make it official.

**Samantha "Ottomas" was added to the Chesterson family.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/7/22 (Desiderata/Riverblossom)

Mole:  James and Lucy Mole live at 244 Hillside Pass Rd. with three of their four children.  Their oldest son John is away at college, their daughter Ann is in high school, and the twins, Joseph and Laura, are in grade school.  Lucy is also expecting the couple's fifth child.  The family has never had much money.  James is a cat breeder and Lucy has had on moderate success as an athlete.  Nevertheless, they are close-knit and enjoy what they have.

Una:  Alexei and Katerina Una live at 1042 E. Dreaming Dr.  They have mirrored the Moles in a number of ways.  They are the same age, have a daughter (Natasha) in college, a teen son (Lukas), and a son (Dimitri) about the same age as the twins.  Lucy's and Katerina's most recent pregnancies overlapped as well, though Katerina has already given birth to a baby boy named Nikolai and subsequently become pregnant again.  The Unas' marriage is not as solid as the Moles', however.  Alexei had a one-night stand with Carmen Mendoza that resulted in him fathering her twins and is currently having an affair with Gundrun Beaker.  Katerina collects admirers like other sims collect bugs.  One slip-up could cause their relationship to go up in flames.

Wirth:  Marian and Samuel Wirth live at 190 Main St.  They have two adult daughters, Hannah and Sharon, plus twin boys, Daniel and Saul, who just started school, and a baby girl, Rachel.  Marian was quite content with their two girls and hadn't planned on basically raising a second family, given the vast age difference between them, but here she is two unplanned pregnancies later.  They struggle to keep up with bills, groceries, and nanny expenses, but their financial difficulties are exacerbated by the fact that Samuel is also trying to get a restaurant off the ground.  He swears that once he gets it up and running, their financial troubles will be over, but the construction is going very slowly, as neither of them makes much money at their jobs.

Moving on to Riverblossom Hills...

Wan:  Kayami and Tianrong Wan live at 226 Strawberry Hill.  They have three daughters and a son.  Their oldest daughter, Cynthia*, lives in Desiderata Valley with her boyfriend and her son.  Their daughter Patricia is away at college.  Pamela, who has special needs, has just started high school and Michael is in elementary school.  Though their house is relatively small, they are financially stable, especially after Tianrong scored that promotion to project leader at the lab.  Kayami has worked a variety of different jobs for extra cash, always trying to work around her kids' schedules and needs.  For the most part, they live a quiet, simple life, and that's the way they like it.

Vandermorgan:  A.P. and Jacqueline Vandermorgan moved to Riverblossom Hills (110 Old Farm Rd.) to give their kids a better life.  They're not sure where they went wrong with their oldest daughter, Lyla, but her life is a mess and they've been unable to get through to her.  Hopefully their other children will benefit from small town living.  Denise has just graduated high school and is headed off to Uni, Albert is in high school, Alice is in elementary school, and the twins, Kennedy and Melanie, are newborns.  Though the family is not wealthy by any means, Jacqueline's romance novels sell well, and they're fairly comfortable.

McGreggor:  Donald and Fiona McGreggor live at 115 Old Farm Rd.  They thought they were finished with parenting when their son Leod left home, but life had other plans, handing them a surprise pregnancy which resulted in, not one, but TWO new babies, Doran and Eileen.  They'd been saving up for an island vacation, but now that's on hold indefinitely until the twins are old enough to be left with a sitter for the duration of their trip.

Danaher:  Marissa and Kacper Danaher have lived in a one-bedroom unit at Maude's Boarding House since they got married.  However, now that their son chance is too big for his crib, they really need a bigger place.  They're looking into some properties around Riverblossom.  They don't have a lot of money saved up, but it's just too cramped here.  Hopefully, they can find something within their budget.

*Cynthia "Kim" was added to the Wan family.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/6/22 (Desiderata)

Pachis:  Alyssa and Jason Pachis live at 920 Leisure Lane with their two youngest children, Miranda and Lucas.  Their older daughters, Jessica and Sophia, live in Bluewater and Veronaville, respectively.  Jessica recently got married and Sophia is living with her fiancĂ©.  Jason and Alyssa love to party and it shows.  The house is always a wreck, they're both cheating on each other, and Miranda is the one who takes care of Lucas and the dogs most of the time.  Miranda barely knows her older sisters, since Sophia left for college right after she was born, and Jessica graduated shortly thereafter.  She spent most of her childhood fending for herself.  Now that she has a baby brother, she wants to do everything she can to make things easier for him, but what will happen to him in a few years when she leaves for college?

Miller:  Chase and Stormy Miller live at 1080 W. Leisure Lane.  They are empty nesters whose adult daughter, Opal, moved Downtown after graduation.  Chase has been a professional athlete for many years, but after a lot of thought while vacationing at their cabin in Three Lakes, he's decided to retire early and pursue other interests.

Contrary:  Emma and Talbot Contrary live across the street from the Millers at 1097 W. Leisure Lane.  Their son Edward lives in Belladonna Cove.  The Contrarys have always been involved in academia and their most recent obsession is witchcraft.  Emma met a woman claiming to be a witch and after spending some time with her, decided to try witchcraft for herself.  She doesn't know many spells yet, but she's enjoying learning the craft.  Talbot wants to get in on the action as well, so he's been discussing the possibilities with his wife.

Bell:  Bartholomew Bell and his adult son Issac live at 196 Main St.  Bart's wife died when Issac was young and he supported them both by working as an escort.  He was remarkably successful at it and made a good deal of money.  Now that Issac's grown, however, he wants to look for more respectable employment.  Issac moved back home after college and began working for a gaming company.  In college, he struggled to talk to women and he's hoping that his dad, who never met a woman he couldn't charm, will give him some pointers.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/5/22 (Desiderata)

Wan/Jocque:  Cynthia Wan and Marcel Jocque live at 175 E. Pleasure Path, with Cynthia's son Dennis.  Cynthia and her former best friend Lyla Vandermorgan moved to Desiderata Valley after college.  Shortly thereafter, they both moved their boyfriends in as well (Knut Grove and Tyler Bear).  It wasn't until after she became pregnant with Dennis that she caught Lyla and Knut in bed together.  She threw everyone out and proceeded to raise her son alone.  She's heard that Lyla also has a child with Knut now, even though they're no longer together, not to mention the third child he's fathered with yet another woman.  She dodged a bullet with that one.  A few years ago, she met Marcel and, even though he's a little younger, they found they have a lot in common.  They're both the oldest child in their family, they each have a sibling with special needs, and they're both very social.  Most importantly, Dennis and Marcel get along with one another.  He may just be The One.

Jocque:  Marcel's parents, Amie and Henri, live just around the corner at 348 Hillside Pass Rd.  In addition to Marcel, they have four younger children: Nikole (an alien teen), Emilie (a special needs child), Renee (an alien child), and Jasper (an alien infant).  Amie works as a spelunker and Henri is a field researcher, specializing in astronomy, hence the multiple abductions.  Henri also happens to be a vampire, which will be a good thing in the long run because Emilie will need long-term care.  Their house is pretty cramped with four kids and, though Amie will soon be too old to have more children, Henri will never be too old so at some point they might need to seek a larger residence.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/4/22 (Desiderata)

 In Desiderata Valley...

Curious:  Jenny Curious lives alone in the Hillside Haven Apartment Complex.  She is a financial consultant, which leaves plenty of time for dating around (her favorite hobby).  Coming from a very large family, Jenny isn't particularly interested in settling down and doing the whole traditional family thing.  She did have a live-in girlfriend for a while, but she wasn't able to curb her impulses when it came to other women, so that was short-lived.  In the end, she's happy with her life and loves having time to herself and the freedom to date whomever she chooses.

Grunt:  Buzz Grunt also lives at Hillside Haven.  He works as a prep cook.  He'd like nothing more than to marry his on again/off again girlfriend Vivan Karana, but she's not interested, even though he's the father of her twin girls.  Considering she has another child with a different father, it's not as strong an argument as he'd like.  There's also the fact that they both continue to see other people, so probably neither of them is really ready to settle down.

Aspir:  Luis and Noriko Aspir live at 290 W. Pleasure Path.  Their adult son Victor lives Downtown with his girlfriend.  Luis and Noriko have spent their lives trying to achieve the perfect traditional family.  Luis is a specialist at the hospital and Noriko is a lobbyist.  Their son is, of course, pursuing a career in law.  They keep a perfect home, always neat and tidy.  So you can imagine their surprise when Luis was abducted one night while stargazing and returned with a bun in the oven.  It was never part of their plan to become middle-aged parents to an alien baby, but that's the hand they've been dealt.  It remains to be seen how they will cope with this new development.

Nejem:  Cyrus and Diana Nejem live at 189 W. Pleasure Path.  They have an adult daughter, Elizabeth, who lives in Riverblossom Hills with her husband's* family.  The Nejems are much more adventurous than their neighbors, the Aspirs.  They love travelling and go on trips as often as they can.  They don't have high pressure jobs (he's a record store clerk and she's a horoscope writer), so every time they save up enough cash and vacation time, they head off to parts unknown for another adventure.

*Technically, Elizabeth is not married because she's glitched somehow and is unable to do so.  I've killed her and resurrected her a couple of times, but she is still unable to get engaged.  As a teen, she couldn't go steady either.  So, since she and Gabe would've been married by now if they'd had the option, I just consider them to be so.  If the glitch ever resolves itself, allowing them to tie the knot, they will do so immediately.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/3/22 (Belladonna)

Green:  Adrianna and Fabio Green live at 109 Bella Park Rd.  Their son Gabriel is away at college.  Adrianna works as a ventriloquist and Fabio is a stay-at-home dad, though with no kids in the house, I guess he's a stay-at-home husband?  Fabio wants another child, but Adrianna definitely does not.  Maybe the Geres and the Greens should swap partners?

Riley:  Lucia Riley lives in the Sentinel Apartments with her adult son Timothy, who recently moved back home after college, and her young daughter Gemma.  Lucia's husband Seamus died when Timothy was very young, leaving Lucia to raise her child on a dishwasher's salary.  They lived in a crappy apartment and only barely managed to make ends meet.  When Lucia met Xanthos Salamis, a lawyer, she thought her problems would be over.  Unfortunately, it turned out Xanthos was married, and though he's been claiming for years that he's going to leave his wife, that has not happened yet.  He did, however, give her the gift of another mouth to feed in the meantime.  Little Gemma is the spitting image of her father.  Lucia has tried dating other men, most notably Elden Hick, but she just keeps coming back to Xanthos.  When Timothy moved back home, they were finally able to save enough money to move to a decent apartment, but how long will he stay?  He's got a temporary job as a piano tuner for the moment, but as soon as a position opens up at the SCIA, he'll be able to afford his own place.

Wilson:  Ruby and Danielle Wilson live in the Main Street Mobile Home Park.  They've been together since college, engaged since shortly after, but only recently did they finally tie the knot, with only Ruby's cousin Trigger in attendance.  Ruby has been on the outs with her family (the Brokes) for years, but she's always been close to her cousin.  So close, in fact, that he moved in next door to her when he graduated.  Though both Ruby and Danielle are successful athletes, they never seem to be able to save enough money for a real house, so it looks as though they'll be living here a while longer.

Broke:  Trigger Broke lives next door to his cousin Ruby.  Ever since he graduated, Ruby's been trying to get him a try-out for her team, but it hasn't happened yet.  In the meantime, he works as a host in a local restaurant.  He's never had much luck with women, but is hoping he'll meet someone at the restaurant.

Caer:  Sullivan and Tazanna Caer live in a converted garage at 245 Main St.  They have an adult daughter, Olivia, who lives Downtown with her fiancĂ©.  Sullivan is a vampire who breeds Pit Bulls, though now that his original dogs are too old to breed, he's decided to branch out and cross one of their pups with a Boxer to make a Pit Boxer*.  Tazanna is a witch who has always wanted to be a restaurant reviewer.  Unfortunately, she hasn't had the opportunity to do so and has had to settle for competing in cooking competitions.  Although the Caers are broke most of the time, they're happy and that's what's important.

*I know nothing about dog/cat breeds.  Consequently, when I make these crossbreed animals, I have no idea whether or not there's already a breed like that, so I'm just winging it and making it up as I go along.  Just pretend with me that I know what I'm talking about, lol.

And that's the end of Belladonna Cove.  Tomorrow we'll visit Desiderata Valley.  Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/2/22 (Belladonna)

Peterson:  Melora Peterson lives with her adult daughter, Jessica, and her grandson, Joshua, at 318 Bay View Dr.  Her younger daughter, Marcie, lives with Melora's ex-husband, Jeff.  Melora works as a project leader at the lab, but her true passion is training animals.  She works with her own two pets as often as possible.  Jessica returned home broke and pregnant and Melora welcomed her with open arms.  She used to work as an escort, but once she became a mother, she decided to leave that life behind her and is now working as a stand-up comedian.  She goes on an occasional date with one of her former clients (some of them have had a hard time detaching from her), but she's got her sights set on Claudio Monty to settle down with.  She wants to get engaged and move in together, especially now that she's learned she's pregnant again.  She thinks it's a good sign that during their last date, Claudio asked her to turn him into a vampire.  Now forever can really be forever for them.

DeBateau:  Beaumont and Melanie DeBateau live at 314 Bay View Dr.  They have an adult son, Armand, who lives Downtown.  Melanie works as a piano tuner and Beaumont was recently fired from his job as a substitute teacher (again).  Their marriage is stable at the moment, but Beaumont has been known to have affairs from time to time.  Melanie mostly turns a blind eye to it.  She'd be happier though if her husband could manage to hold down a job for any length of time.

Loner/Tang:  Ajay Loner and Meredith Tang live at the Ocean View Apartments with Ajay's mother, Madhuri.  Ajay's father, Vikram, died when he was a child and Madhuri raised him on her own.  They are very close, so when Ajay and Meredith, his college girlfriend, decided to move in together, his mother was part of the package.  Strangetown holds bad memories for Ajay, since it's where his father died, so they decided to move to Belladonna Cove, where Madhuri got a job as an obituary writer and Meredith works as a field sales rep for Sim Corp.  Ajay makes a living creating toys and selling them online.  Lately, Ajay has been thinking about proposing to Mer, but he's just not sure if she's ready yet, so he's been holding off for now.

Gere:  Gwendolyn and Inigo Gere live at 105 Bella Park Rd.  Their only child, Chastity, is away at college.  While she's gone, her parents are in charge of her five cats.  As a teen Chastity created a new breed - the Siamau, which is a cross between a Siamese and an Egyptian Mau.  She plans to become a breeder when she graduates.  Inigo and Gwen's marriage is solid, with their only disagreement being whether or not to have more children.  Gwen desperately wants three kids, while Inigo is content with the one they have.  Now that Gwen's biological clock is officially ticking, it's only a matter of time before the option is out of her hands.

Happy Simming!

Megahood 6/1/22 (Belladonna)

Vandermorgan:  Lyla Vandermorgan (who also lives at Crossroads) has never been the kind of woman who can go long without a man in her life.  In college, she had an on again/off again relationship with Knut Grove, but ultimately chose Tyler Bear over Knut.  Then, when she discovered she was pregnant, she broke things off with Tyler in favor of Joseph Martin, who was older, wiser, and, most importantly, richer.  Unfortunately, Joseph found out the babies (twins!) weren't his and kicked her out.  She patched things up with Tyler and they moved in together for a while, but when Knut came back around, she couldn't resist hooking up with him.  Tyler caught her and ended things, moving next door so that he could still be near his children.  As usual, her relationship with Knut was short-lived, but this time he left her with a souvenir - a daughter.  Desperate for a new man to take care of her, Lyla went after Darren Dreamer, but in the end, he refused to leave his girlfriend.  She ended up falling into bed with the first guy she saw, Tyler's roommate Ryan.  When she found out she was pregnant yet again, she decided to ask Ryan to move in, but before she could do so, she caught him making out with Emiko Cho.  Now she doesn't know what to do, but she has to figure something out quickly because she's behind on the rent and will soon have another mouth to feed on a fast food manager's salary.

Cordial:  Barbara and Danny Cordial live at 315 Bella Park Rd., with their youngest daughter Marilyn.  The twins, Samantha and Kimberly, are seniors at SSU.  Barbara has long wanted to have one more baby, but with their work schedules (she works the night shift as a security guard and he's a dive master who works days), it's pretty tough to find time for each other.  Marilyn is a quiet, studious child, who is content to entertain herself most of the time - a huge change from when the twins were her age.  Barbara is worried that she may be too solitary, but Danny is sure she'll be just fine.

Cleveland:  Cybil and Leon Cleveland live at 319 Bella Park Rd.  Their adult son Jason lives in Bluewater Village with his girlfriend and son.  They also have a pre-teen daughter, Alice, and a newborn son Martin.  Both of the younger children were surprise additions to the family and, while Leon couldn't be more thrilled, Cybil feels trapped in a life she didn't plan for.  She was happy being Jason's mom; she devoted her life to raising him.  But now that he's grown, it's supposed to be her time.  She loves her job as a relic liberator, but she hasn't worked full-time in ages.  She thought once Alice started school, things would get back to normal, but then she was hit with yet another unwanted pregnancy and now she's back to square one with diapers and 3 a.m. feedings.  Leon is oblivious to his wife's resentment, and he may live to regret it.

Weir:  Martha Weir lives at 320 Bay View Dr.  Martha has had a roller coaster ride of a life so far and it shows no sign of stopping any time soon.  Once upon a time she had the perfect suburban life - a beautiful home, a loving husband, and three kids, Mary*, Connor, and Noah.  Everything started to slide out of control when her husband, Bryant, became a vampire.  He never really adjusted to his new life state and one day, he just walked out into the sun, becoming nothing more than a pile of ash in the front yard.  Martha was left to raise three children, the youngest of whom was still in diapers, on her own.  She got a job in a restaurant and tried to carry on.  Mary moved back in after college, bringing her boyfriend, Manuel, with her.  They soon welcomed twin boys, Matthew and Miguel, followed quickly by a third son, Mario, who is the product of Manuel's alien abduction. Connor went off to college and after graduation he moved in with his fiancĂ© in Veronaville and became the father of twin girls.  With Noah in high school, Martha believed she was nearing the parenting finish line, but life had one more surprise for her.  After a one night stand with Joseph Martin, she discovered that she's expecting her fourth child.  At her age, will she even live long enough to raise this one to adulthood?

*Mary "Gavigan" was added to the Weir family.

Happy Simming!
