BACC 5/31/21

Week 16 begins with the Kekahis as usual.  A LOT of changes went down this week, so hold onto your hats.  First, Davon did fall in love with Christa, so I let him move her in.  Secondly, I developed a more structured approach to finding mates for the sims on Kahua Island.  I won't bore you with the details, but suffice it to say, it will push them forward, while still allowing them to make their own choice.  Jordan was the first sim to try out the system and ended up falling in love with Lyndsay Louie and moving her in as well.  Finally, the twins grew up on Wednesday.  During their party I heard the crush sound and went to look for the source.  What I found was a creepy.  Amelia (one of the twins) had fallen in love with her Uncle Ryan.  Technically, he's no longer her uncle, since he was only her uncle by marriage to her Aunt Makala, but it still creeps me out.  I debated a long while about what to do and finally decided that I had to let them choose for themselves.  Amelia wanted to get engaged immediately, and so they did.  I wasn't sure that Ryan would even live until the weekend for their scheduled wedding, but he did.  In addition, both Davon and Jordan decided to propose to their ladies, so we ended up with the first ever triple wedding in Kahua.  Following the wedding, Amelia immediately rolled the want for a baby and I grudgingly obliged her.  She'll give birth next week, though I doubt Ryan will be around long enough to meet his child.  As of the end of the week, Ryan is 79 and Davon is 77, so I daresay we'll lose them both within the first day or so.  Elizabeth was left out of all the romance, though she did have a few lackluster dates.  She'll continue dating next week to see if she clicks with anyone.

On the business front, Davon handed over Keanu's to Jordan at the end of the week.  Elizabeth opened a boutique called Burning Question and Amelia started a produce stand called U Pick Produce.  Neither had the chance to really run their new businesses, as they're still in the building phase, but they should see some progress next week.  Ryan quit his job in Culinary and Jordan's new wife, Lyndsay has the LTW for Business.  She was already working as an employee at The Snack Shack, but since Business came up right away in the paper, I went ahead and let her take it.  Jackson will have to replace her at the restaurant when I play him.  As if all of that weren't enough, moving in two new sims sent the population over 500, which not only opened up another Law Enforcement position, but also allows sims to call services from now on.  Until now, they've only been allowed nanny and adoption services.  Food delivery is still not unlocked, however.

Taxes were $7,910.00, bringing the community total to $47,885.00.

BACC 5/28/21

Today we'll meet the new family on Kahua Island - the Jansons!  They are comprised of married couple Harry and Jenna, Harry's mother Lily, and their three boys Bryce (teen), Oliver (child), and Henry (toddler).  After looking at everyone's LTWs, aspirations, and hobbies, I decided that Lily would open a bookstore (she has a LTW to own 5 top businesses), which she will later leave to her grandson Bryce (who has the hobby for film & lit).  Harry and Jenna both have job-related LTWs, but those jobs are not available, so Harry is now working in Culinary (hobby of cuisine) and Jenna is working Architecture (hobby unknown, just picked an available job).

With a great deal of daily digging for treasure from all family members who were able, The Book Nook was built and finished enough that it could be run on Friday, ranking up to level 2 in just that one day.  Harry and Jenna each earned a promotion or two during the week as well, which helped to finance the business.  By the end of the week, Harry was a Fast Food Shift Manager and Jenna was a Brick Layer.

In addition, both Oliver and Henry celebrated birthdays.  Oliver is now a teen and Henry a child.

Taxes for the week came to $3,274.00, bringing the community total to $87,417.00.

And that's it for Week 15!  I'll be posting a summary page, then I need to work on building some new houses for sims that have moved out, as well as some new families that will be moving in, and a new community lot (or two?) also.  And then we'll be onto Week 16!  Until then, Happy Simming!

BACC 5/27/21

Reed Centowski moved out with his girlfriend last round and the couple had just enough money to build a basic shell of a house, with the most basic of necessities.  Reed works in Law Enforcement and Michelle is an employee at Wheeler Stadium.  Reed had rolled the want for a baby, but not the want for marriage, however as soon as I entered their lot, he immediately rolled the want for marriage.  They really needed the money, so I sent them both to work first and then they had a very small wedding party on the beach, inviting only Reed's brother Robert and his girlfriend, Hunter Hastings, and one townie friend.  Michelle was pregnant before the party ended.  I don't think I mentioned this before, but a few days before he left home, Reed adopted a dog named Otis, who is working in the pet Security job (in order to work Security, there must either be 5 sims in Law Enforcement or the pet's owner must be in Law Enforcement).  Needless to say, they had a lot on their plates right from the start.

Michelle's salary isn't much and she was home for several days during her pregnancy, so she didn't earn very much money towards building/furnishing the house.  Reed did score a couple of promotions, as did Otis, which was really helpful.  In addition to that, Reed inherited some money from his parents, who both passed away this round.  Reed got a bad chance card near the end of the week that cost him two days' pay and he had to dig for treasure to get enough money to pay the taxes, but they managed to squeak by.  Mid-week, Brooke was born.  She grew up on Saturday and, in true Family sim fashion, Reed rolled the want for another baby, who is now on the way.

Their taxes were $1,516.00, bringing the total to $84,143.00.

BACC 5/26/21

Raven and Andrew Wheeler began building their dream home this week.  Thanks to the final money perk being earned at Wheeler Stadium, they were able to build a house large enough to accommodate the big family they're likely to want.  Not all the bedrooms are finished, but it's comfortable.  Andrew ran the businesses mostly alone this week because Raven was too tired during her first pregnancy.  He made a pretty decent sum between Lei Fleur and the stadium, which is now rank 7, and finally got those last two "soccer players" hired.

Raven gave birth to a baby girl, who they named Emily, and she grew into a toddler near the end of the week.  Raven, like a proper Family sim, immediately rolled the want for another baby when Emily aged up and she is now expecting baby #2, who will be born next week.

Their tax debt was significant, given the high lot value of Wheeler Stadium - $17,326.00.  With building and furnishing the house, they didn't have enough to pay the entire amount, so they paid $10,000.00.  The rest was rolled over to next week along with a 10% penalty.  I expect they'll be paying back taxes for quite a while.  The community total is now $82,627.00.

BACC 5/24/21

The Kekahi/London household started out slowly with Ivy running the bar (getting it to rank 8), Randy continuing to work in Law Enforcement (earning one promotion), and the twins hanging around together all day.  Mid-week, however, Marina died at the age of 73, followed the very next day by Kalen at age 74.  Davon is now the only one of the founder's six kids still alive.  After her husband died, Ivy came to the realization that she's gay and she began a relationship with townie Kaylynn Spitzig.  She moved her in on the last day of the week.

At this point I made a decision that will hopefully solve some problems.  Since Ian (and Megan) will be taking over the household when he grows up next week, I had Ivy go ahead and pass the bar over to him.  Then, once I've played the Lanes until the end of the week, I'll have Mckenna (who is best friends with Ivy) move Ivy and Kaylynn into the Lane household.  Since only Maya and Mckenna are left in the household and they're both elders, bringing in Kaylynn will be very helpful.  It's also good that Kaylynn has tinkering as her hobby, which means she's a natural fit to take Ticket to Ride off Maya's hands.  I don't expect Ivy to live more than about a week, which means it's likely Kaylynn will end up with someone else in time and she'll have a nice big house in which to raise a family.  It makes more sense to me than having Kaylynn ultimately living here, where she's not related to anyone, and also having the Lane house go dark with no heir to take over.

In other news, Ian continued to go steady with Carolina Hastings.  Megan brought (new CAS) Bryce Janson home from school with her and they have two bolts.  However, Ian brought their cousin Amelia home the same day and Amelia went after Bryce with a vengeance (they're now in crush) and Megan didn't stand a chance.

On a side note, the twins' graves brought the total to 15, which opened up another useless position in Paranormal.  Their taxes were $6,601.00, bringing the total community funds to $64,131.00.

Next up, the Lane family.

It took Maya Lane until Thursday to FINALLY get promoted to Business Tycoon, which not only opens up Business to everyone, but also officially opens the Business District, gaining +5 to the SM, earning +5 CAS, and allowing businesses to be built there.  She only had one day available to run Ticket to Ride, but she got it up one rank to level 2.  Mckenna was also busy with her Dance career, achieving several promotions and ending the week as a Ballroom Dancer.  She too only spent one day at her business, maintaining rank 5.

At the end of the week, I had Mckenna move Ivy Kekahi and Kaylynn Spitzig in.  Next round I'll have Maya hand off Ticket to Ride to Kaylynn, who will have more time and interest in running it.

Taxes were $7,542.00, bringing the total to $71,673.00.

Next up, Daniel Drew.

Daniel spent all his free time working on robotics.  I really want him to craft a Servo.  I'm not overly fond of Servos and don't plan to use them too often in this 'hood, but I think it makes sense that Daniel would want to create a companion for himself, since he's not great at making friends.  Unfortunately, despite making 60+ robots, he still hasn't earned his gold badge.  Maybe next week.  Apart from robot making, Daniel continued to work in Gaming, earning one promotion.

Daniel's taxes were $954.00, bringing the total to $72.627.00.

BACC 5/22/21 Part 2

The Centowskis lost two family members this week.  Orlando died on Monday at the age of 70, and Brenna followed him a few days later at 76.  A few days before her death, Brenna handed off Hulu a Lomi to Robert; it remains at rank 10.  On Friday Robert ran his flea market for the first time and got it to rank 1.  I think I'll keep it as a Friday only business and he'll sell whatever he has then close up by dark.  Gretchen worked most of the week in the Culinary career, since both positions in Science have already been filled, but a bad chance card at the end of the week resulted in her being fired.  I'm not sure what to do with her at this point.  Her hobby is nature, but I don't have any nature type jobs available or any ideas for a business that would suit her.  Robert really doesn't need help with the businesses either, so she's kind of at a loose end.

I'm also a little frustrated that Robert (like his parents) seems to be a defective Family sim, refusing to roll the want to get engaged, married, or have a baby with Gretchen.  She's Knowledge, so I don't really expect her to roll such wants, but what's wrong with him?  Grrr.  I may need to start encouraging sims to progress with their relationships or maybe just let them have a date once they've been together a while?  They're bound to roll marriage wants then.  We'll see.

Taxes were $9,379.00, making the total $57,530.00.

It was a quiet week for the Collins clan.  Chase and Ethan worked at the gallery all week, getting it up to rank 7, and at the end of the week Chase handed it off to Ethan.  Dakota found a job as a Gamer and by the end of the week had been promoted up to Gold Farmer.

Dakota had the want to "marry a rich sim" locked in from the start and so I decided to get them hitched, even though I was pretty sure the want wouldn't be fulfilled since they live in the same household (it wasn't).  A want is a want and Ethan is a rich sim, so even though she didn't get the points I'm counting it.  They got married on Saturday and sadly, Chase passed away on Sunday.  He'll finally be joining his beloved Meadow.  Neither Ethan, nor Dakota rolled any baby wants, but I didn't really expect they would, given they're both Knowledge.  Maybe in time.

Taxes came to $5,410.00, bringing the community total to $48,151.00.

BACC 5/21/21

There were a lot of changes in the Kekahi household this week, though most didn't happen until near the end.  Business was steady; Jackson ran The Snack Shack on Monday, with the help of his mother and siblings and focused on The Big Cheese the rest of the week, getting it up to rank 5.  Cherry now works at Wheeler Stadium and both Eli and Vanessa took jobs in Science.

I had all the kids invite over prospective mates every day after work (Vanessa grew up on Monday, so she was in on this as well).  For Jackson, it was Brittany (who he was already in love with) and Chloe (who he had three bolts for).  By Thursday, he had made no move towards romance with Chloe, so I took that as an indication that he'd made his decision for Brittany and moved her in.  Brittany's LTW is for Criminal, but there's only one slot open and I have Carolina Hastings looking for that.  Brit had a job in Culinary, which would have been okay for her to keep, but I decided she'd be more useful helping out in the businesses for now, so she quit.  Cherry was still crushing on elder townie Phoenix (who I discovered was a BV townie), but also had two bolts for Joe Carr.  I had her invite Joe over several days in a row and she didn't seem interested, so towards the end of the week, she invited Phoenix to visit, during which time they fell in love and decided to move out at the end of the week.  Eli is still on the fence between Ivy and Brandi.  He's rolled a generic want to get married, which I locked in, but has yet to choose who he wants to marry.  Vanessa started crushing on elder townie Katy McGaw almost immediately after aging up, which is where they remained until near the end of the week, when they finally fell in love and Vanessa rolled the want to get engaged, followed immediately by marriage, and then the want to adopt.  The couple got married on Saturday night (Vanessa took Katy's last name, since I've got plenty of Kekahis already) and their baby boy (Matthew) arrived on Sunday morning.  They also moved out at the end of the week.

Sadly Marsha did not get to see three of her four kids (mostly) settled down, as she passed away on Thursday at the age of 80.  Hopefully next week Jackson and Brittany will decide to get married and/or have some kids and Eli will finally make up his dang mind about which lady he wants to be with.

BACC 5/19/21

The Hastings household was pretty chaotic this week.  There was only one birthday (Olivia aged to adult mid-week), but tons of drama.  Wyatt had been slowly working his way up to getting romantic with Meadow Pederson, however as of this round he'd met the fitness hobby director, Cathy Something-or-Other, I guess on a community lot while I was playing others? In any event, he liked her even more than Meadow and the feeling was mutual because she pursued him relentlessly.  They fell in love very quickly and I moved her in.  She immediately rolled the wants to get married and have a baby.  Usually I wait to have weddings until the weekend, but I've been having so much trouble with this generation finding mates, etc., that I didn't want to risk either of those wants rolling away, so I had them get married right away, then locked in the baby want.  Cathy got pregnant on their wedding night and by the end of the round, they'd welcomed a baby boy named Dallas, but there was a close call right after she got pregnant in which she got overheated from riding the exercise bike and actually died.  Wyatt saved her, thankfully.

Emma had been dating Brady Lane and was poised to move in with him this week, but he died in a fire at his business last round.  Emma had a few prospects that were all one-bolters.  She invited them all over several times, but apart from friendship, nothing developed.  Near the end of the week, Chloe Gonzaga offered her a blind date and she accepted.  The date turned out to be an elderly butler (Adam), but they have three bolts!  She was crushing on him by the end of the date, with no help from me at all.  I think she's made her decision, but they're not in love yet, so we'll see.  Olivia had some bolts for the guys her sister was contemplating, but after taking over Crescendo from her brother, she met Ricky Cormier at the business one day and they really hit it off.  She and Ricky are also in crush now.  Carolina is still going steady with Ian Kekahi and Dakota moved out to live with boyfriend Ethan Collins.

Wyatt got the fish market up to rank 3 with the help of his sister Emma and later, his wife Cathy.  Olivia lucked out in that Crescendo had dipped just below rank 10 before she took over, so it only took a few sim hours to bring it back up, scoring her first top business.  She was unlucky, however, when her manager, Phil, decided to quit.  It took her a day of two to chat him up and bring him around to coming back to work.  Consequently, she didn't get a chance to open a second business just yet.  Hunter was promoted to Police Chief and then spent the rest of the week building skills for his final promo.  Emma earned a couple of promotions, landing on All Star by the end of the week.

Their taxes came to $8,508.00, bringing the total to $33,057.00.

BACC 5/17/21

Week 15 begins with the Kekahis on the founder's lot.  Since Andrew and Raven moved out last week, the family is down to just one business - the general store - which Davon ran on Monday and Friday, maintaining it at rank 10.  Ryan helped out as usual and worked in his Culinary career during the mid-week days.  Unfortunately a bad chance card not only cost him $25,000, but also got him demoted from celebrity chef back down to dishwasher.  He continued working for the rest of the week, but I'll probably let him quit next week.  He's 72 and he already achieved the goal of unlocking Culinary, so there's no reason to punish him.

On Wednesday, Jordan celebrated his adult birthday and immediately started looking for Ms. Right.  He went with his dad and uncle to Keanu's on Friday, but didn't like anyone he met.  Back at home, he met a walkby, Lyndsay Louie, who he has two bolts for.  He invited her over both weekend days and they're friends, but not crushing yet.  When Lyndsay came over, she brought a friend as well, an elder named Christa Hsu.  Davon and Christa have 2 bolts and are already crushing, so if he falls in love with her next week, I might just let him move her in.  He's been pretty lonely since Adrienne died and he still has a good while left on his bar, despite reaching the age of 70 this round.

In other news, I had an idea for a home based business lot that I want to try out.  Home businesses aren't that valuable in a bacc, but I think it'll be fun.  It will be a campground, similar to the one in Three Lakes, with tents and lots of fun stuff to do.  I'll keep it open 24/7 and just see what happens.  I think it'll be a great way for sims to socialize and maybe make romantic matches easier.  I'm mentioning it now because I thought the perfect sim to be in charge of such a lot would be a plant sim and since Davon is an elder and the heir to the family business, he's not really suitable.  However, elder plant sims can still have plant babies, so that's what I had him do.  Kane was "born" on Friday morning and grew into adulthood on Sunday, moving out immediately.  He won't be played again this round, but I'll build the campgrounds and we'll catch up with him next round.

BACC 5/16/21

Daniel Drew had a pretty boring week.  He earned a couple of promotions at work and spent his free time skilling and making robots (he's up to a silver robotics badge).  He did, however, have both a fire and burglary, which happened to be the final fire and burglary needed to open up positions in Law Enforcement, so he ended up opening two new positions.  On Sunday, he celebrated his elder birthday and, true to form, the party was a "snoozer" until he went to bed and then it became a "good time".  So anti-social lol.

Daniel's taxes were $912.00, bringing the total to $167,915.00.

There were no changes to the stats and the only career changes were the aforementioned Law Enforcement positions being unlocked.

Next up, the Week 14 Summary, followed by the founder's house and the start of a new round.  Happy Simming!

The Lanes started their week off fine, but it quickly turned to tragedy.  I had Brady purchase a community lot, where he built Ticket to Ride, the train enthusiast lot I mentioned earlier.  He included not only model trains to play with, but a small coffee lounge area to keep customers energized and on the lot longer.  By Wednesday, he'd hired two employees to work as baristas and leveled up to rank 2.  That's when disaster struck.  During a storm, lightning struck a tree outside, setting it ablaze.  The rain then promptly stopped, leaving Brady to deal with extinguishing it.  Not only did he lose enough stars to send the business back down to rank 1, he also lost his life when he caught fire and there was no one around (no one useful anyway) to put him out.  I suppose I could've exited without saving, but I tend to like to roll with the punches with these sorts of things.  The only time I exit without saving is to prevent the social worker from taking kids.  Consequently, Maya is now the owner of Ticket to Ride, there is no heir to this household, and Emma Hastings (Brady's girlfriend) did not move in at the end of the week as planned.  To top it all off, both ladies became elders on Sunday.

Career-wise, Maya only earned one promotion the entire week, though she's ready to reach the top of the Business career next week.  Mckenna only spent one day running Dance With Me because she had to work the rest of the week, but she did earn several promotions, ending the week as a Dance Video Star.

I'm not sure what's going to happen with this household, as I'd resigned myself to the fact that neither woman was going to settle down.  I thought Brady would take over, probably marry Emma and have some kids, and try to expand his business ventures.  Time will tell.

Taxes were $7,483.00, bringing the total to $167,003.00.

BACC 5/14/21

There's not much to report about for the Kekahi/London household.  The children grew up into teens near the beginning of the week, while Ivy and Randy became elders on the last day.  After becoming a teen, Ian wasted no time at all in starting a relationship with Carolina Hastings (Carolina briefly dated Eli Kekahi, but he's an adult now, so that's over), even going so far as to ask her to go steady, which I don't think anyone has done before in this 'hood.  I'm pretty sure Megan is related to all the playable teen boys in town right now, but she did check out the paper boy (only one bolt).

Financially, the family is stable, if not incredibly wealthy like some of their relatives.  I think I mentioned that Kalen also quit his job while I was playing Jackson Kekahi at The Snack Shack.  I guess he couldn't bear being away from his twin all day.  Randy only scored one promotion, but spent the rest of the week gaining the skills needed for the next one.  Ivy got Kahua Junction up to rank 7 and took up jogging, which was helpful for Randy since they could jog together, gaining fun, social, and body points all at once.

Their taxes were $6,284.00, which brought the total to $159,520.00.  I haven't added the observatory yet.  I'm still deciding on where I want to put it, but I'll definitely place it by the end of the round.

No stats or career changes.

Up next, the Lanes.  Happy Simming!

BACC 5/13/21

Big changes for the Centowskis this week.  Reed moved very slowly with Michelle, but by the weekend they'd finally fallen in love and I moved her in.  She brought in no money and has no job; her LTW is non-job related.  I finally decided that I'd have Raven and Andrew hire her onto the soccer team, since her hobby is sports (despite being the former gaming hobby lot director).  Robert finally picked one of his one bolters, Gretchen Chin, and they also fell in love and moved in together by the end of the week.  It kind of feels like a rush decision and a competitive move in response to his brother's relationship, but whatever gets sims moved in, right?  No one rolled any wants for marriage, but Reed did roll a want for a baby, which I locked in.  At the end of the week, I moved Reed and Michelle out to their own lot, which will not be played until next round.

Hulu a Lomi remains at rank 10; Brenna will pass the business to Robert next week.  I spent some time thinking about what to do with Robert and came up with the idea of him opening a flea market in which to sell all the random things he always has in his inventory from being a customer at all the other shops in town.  And thus, My Two Cents Flea Market was born.  I don't expect it to be a money maker or to rank up very quickly, but I think it'll be interesting to play.  I plan to have him wait until he has a good amount of stock before opening up.  He'll run it one, maybe two, days until most everything sells out, then start saving up again for another sale.  Might be fun.  As for the sims in regular careers, Reed earned a couple of promotions in Law Enforcement and Gretchen (who works Culinary, but has the LTW for Science) did not have a chance to go into work yet.  Orlando is still the manager and head chef at The Snack Shack.

The family's taxes came to $8,776.00, bringing the neighborhood total to $153,236.00.  Kahua Island now has enough money to build the "observatory" ('hood decoration), which I've made a requirement for taking jobs in Science.  Since I'm not counting it as an actual lot, it can be built at any time and I've got two available Science positions just waiting to be filled, so it seems like a good time for it.

In addition, My Two Cents earned me another CAS, which completes the household of six which is scheduled to be created next, so we'll be seeing a new family move in next week.

Sadly, the Collins family lost their matriarch this week.  Meadow Collins died on the first day of the week at age 69.  Raven happened to be visiting when it happened, so at least Meadow was surrounded by her family when she went.  To add insult to injury, the next night a burglar broke in a stole Meadow's pottery wheel, as well as a bookcase.  Though the police were called, they didn't catch the guy and Chase had to replace the items out of pocket.  On Thursday, Ethan grew into adulthood, leaving behind his short-lived relationship with Olivia Hastings and reuniting with Dakota Hastings.  Though he didn't roll a want to get engaged or married, he didn't consistently roll fears of being rejected for a proposal and for Dakota's death, so I decided he was serious enough that I had him move her in at the very end of the round in preparation for next week.  Dakota has a want to marry a rich sim, but no specific want to marry Ethan, though she has the same fears that Ethan does about rejection and death.  We'll see what they decide next week.  On a side note, one day while Carolina Hastings was visiting she was struck by lightning, adding to out electrocution count, which will eventually open up another position in Science.

Chase threw himself into his work after Meadow died, getting Nani Ke Ola up to rank 6 by the end of the week, which opened up a position in the Artist career.  Ethan also worked hard on his pottery, achieving gold badge status just before the week ended.  He'll now be in good shape to take over from his dad in the future.  Dakota will continue to look for a job in Gamer, as she carried all the necessary items with her in inventory.

Taxes were $5,099.00, bringing the total to $144,460.00.

BACC 5/11/21

Jackson Kekahi opened a second business this week called The Big Cheese.  As you might have guessed, it's a shop that sells grilled cheese sandwiches.  Since Jackson is a Grilled Cheese sim like his mom, I thought this would be a great way for them to express their love of cheese through a joint business venture.  Since the twins grew into adulthood this week as well, Jackson had them help out in the new shop also, and by the end of the week, it was up to rank 4.  My plan for Cherry is to have her join the soccer team and play at Wheeler Stadium.  When I play the Wheelers next, I'll have them hire her for the "team", which basically means she'll get hired, get her uniform set to a soccer uniform, and then sent home.  I don't really plan to use the employees as workers, they're mostly for environment when other sims visit the lot, but hey it's a job, right?  For Eli, I'm thinking maybe Science?  I'll need the observatory to be built first, but the city funds are nearly there, so I think it's doable.

I was very excited when Jackson met Chloe Gonzaga early in the week and they have 3 bolt chemistry.  However, he didn't see her again until the very end of the week, after he'd already fallen in love with another townie, Brittany Wendland, who he has 2 bolts for.  He hasn't rolled any serious wants for either woman (he only ever rolls grilled cheeses wants), but he's friends with Chloe and she was pretty persistent in seeking his attention during the time they spent together, so I don't think it'll be a stretch for him to fall in love with her also.  Whether he'll actually roll any wants to move forward with either of them is anyone's guess.  Cherry and Eli struggled to find someone they like.  Eli dated several girls as teens, but none of them are available at the moment.  He met a couple of 2-bolters this week, but only rolled wants for Tosha Go, who he has negative chemistry with.  He just really wants to befriend her lol.  Cherry also met several 2-bolters.  One of them offered to set her up on a blind date (guess he wasn't interested for himself) and I let her accept it.  It turned out to be an elder townie, but she does also have 2 bolts for him and by the end of the date, during which I did not give any commands, they were in crush.  We'll see what happens with that.

Their tax debt came to $9,323.00, bringing the community total to $139,361.00.

BACC 5/10/21

The Hastings' started the week out with birthdays again.  On Monday, Carolina grew into a teen and rolled the LTW to top Criminal, which is very interesting considering her dad's a cop.  Maybe she's a bad seed?  On Tuesday, Emma became an adult and took a job in the newly opened Athletic career.  On Wednesday, it was Hunter's turn to age up to elder.  Luckily the birthdays were out of the way before Michelle passed away on Thursday at the age of 69.  She did manage to top Music before she died, so that was a nice accomplishment for her.  The family had a few days to regroup before Dakota's birthday on Sunday during which she aged to adult, leaving behind her relationship with Ethan Collins (for now).  I didn't come up with anything better for her than her LTW of Gaming, so I bought her the required items and she's now officially hunting for that job.  Dakota's birthday party was quite the event though.  Emma reconnected with Brady Lane and they are now in love again, though she didn't roll the want to get engaged.  After Dakota grew up, Ethan decided to move on immediately with Olivia - they're now in love as well.  Carolina made a move on Eli Kekahi, who was dating Raven Collins until she grew up and married Andrew Wheeler, and they're also in love now.  Wyatt is moving much more slowly than his sisters/nieces; he became friends with Meadow Pederson, but did not cross the line into romance.

As for businesses and careers, Wyatt ran Crescendo on Monday (it had dropped below rank 10, but he got it back up), then concentrated on the fish market the rest of the week.  He nearly has enough stock now to open up, so we should see some progress with that next week.  Hunter did not get all the skills he needed for promotion until the weekend, so hopefully he'll finally see that happen next week.  Emma earned just one promotion, but she's good on skills for the next couple at least, so she should do better next week.

The family's taxes were $7,665.00, bringing the total to $130,038.00.

I was planning to build a school for my next unowned community lot, but I'm thinking a public beach might be a better plan, since the population isn't going to hit 250 for a while yet and the beach would allow for that Oceanography LTW of Wyatt's to be possible, not to mention it would be a good hangout for sims to meet and interact with one another.

BACC 5/8/21

Week 14 begins with the Kekahi/Wheeler family.  They had a lot going on this round.  Since Andrew also had the want to get engaged to Raven Collins, I had him move her in immediately so they could plan their wedding for the weekend.  They spent a couple of days tending to Lei Fleur, but then I decided to have Andrew build a sports themed lot for the purpose of unlocking Athletic, which seems to fit him better than the flower shop he inherited from his mom.  Originally, I had planned to have the soccer field be an unowned community lot, but that would mean building it from the community coffers and I'd have to wait until I had 12 households to do it.  The requirements for the lot are that it had to be on a 5 x 5 lot and be worth $250,000.  That's a lot of money to siphon from the community tax fund.  Since the Kekahis are wealthy, they could afford to build it from their family funds without too much trouble, and so Wheeler Stadium was built.  It was quite an endeavor to build such a large lot, but I think it turned out well.  In addition to selling tickets to the "soccer matches", there's a souvenir kiosk and a food stand.  It ranked up to level 4 in only two days!  Building the stadium unlocks the Athletic career for everyone and because it's the 20th total lot built, a second position in Architecture also opened up.

The twins finally celebrated their teen birthday on Wednesday.  I have never be so excited for children to grow up.  These two were overheated constantly and driving me crazy trying to keep the social worker away.  Amelia's LTW is for Law, which isn't possible, but her hobby is science, which might work as a career for her if I get the observatory built soon.  Liz wants to own 5 top businesses, which is what this challenge is all about, so she can definitely work on that.  On Saturday Andrew and Raven tied the knot finally and just in the nick of time because Adrienne died that evening at the age of 67.  Though she worked hard at it, she never got that last logic point she needed, and therefore never reached the top of Architecture.  RIP Adrienne.  At the end of the week, I moved Andrew and Raven out to a lot of their own.  This household is crowded enough, plus I know Raven's going to want a large family.  They'll be added to the end of the rotation, and we'll catch up with them again in Week 15.  I won't be adding them to the household/residential lot count until then.

Taxes due were a whopping $22,296.00, bringing the total to $122,373.00.
