The Peterson family is composed of David and Jozette, as well as their three children Philip, Mary, and Luke (who was born this round). They are finally expecting their fourth, though they had a really tough time getting pregnant. Financially they're just getting by, as David has a job in which he's not likely to be promoted without earning some skills, which he's not allowed to do because he's a Peasant. The exception is mechanical that he gains from fixing things around the house. Unfortunately he doesn't need mechanical skill; he needs charisma and logic I think. In time, Philip will be old enough for a teen job. I think they'll be ok until then.
Next up is the Pratt family: Frederick, Mary Ann, Emelina, Vernon, Agnes, and Walter (the new addition for this round). They are also Peasants. You've probably noticed by now that last names correspond to social class ("P" last names are Peasants, "M" names are Merchants, etc.) Since women take their husbands' last names and their class, this should work well to remind me who is in which class once the 'hood gets large. As far as the Pratts go, this round wasn't too eventful, apart from the birth of their fourth child which didn't happen until the very end. Financially they're doing fine and their oldest being a girl has been really helpful to Mary Ann. Next round they'll be going for baby #5.
Finally, we have the second Potter family which is Henry Potter's younger brother Earl and his wife Jenna, who were expecting their first child at the beginning of the round. You can imagine their surprise when they got not one, but TWO new babies, boy/girl twins Herman and Thelma. They immediately got to work on baby #3 who will be born early next round. Jenna was keeping up fairly well for a while, but eventually caring for two babies while also being pregnant began taking its toll on her. The house is quickly becoming a disaster zone. Luckily the twins became toddlers this round and will grow into children next round, so she'll have some help. I really hope she doesn't have twins again though. Where will they put them all?
That's all for today. Happy Simming!

Up today is the third and final Moore family. Steven is the brother of both Daniel and Matthew. His wife is Cora and the couple has two sons, Martin and Robert. Steven runs a pottery shop, which is still a struggle for him right now. He doesn't have a very high level badge yet and tends to make a lot of "bad" pottery which no one wants to buy. On the bright side, he usually gives the failures to the king as his taxes, so at least they don't go to waste. The couple will welcome their third child next round and I'm sure Cora is hoping for a girl to help out with all the chores. We'll see!
Over at the boarding school we have the headmaster, George McMahon, and his students, Prince Arthur, Princess Gwendolyn, Cadence Nero, and Nicholas Nero. The headmaster works in the Education career, plus he gets a certain amount of tuition from each student when they arrive to keep the school up and running. Other than that he mostly just serves as a chaperone and a chef. The students attend private school, are expected to complete all homework, and contribute to keeping the house clean. Boarding school is usually a good opportunity for Royals and Nobles to meet and find potential spouses, but right now everyone is a little too closely related. Both Arthur and Nicholas are related to all the eligible Noble girls, which means Nicholas will likely choose a bride from the Merchant class, while Arthur will return home and wait for a non-relative Noble girl to be born. It may be a long while before we see the next generation of Royals.
Next up are the convents, which run the same was as the monastery. The nuns grow their own food and spend their time is quiet study. I started with only one convent, but had to start a second after all those Nero girls were born, because one just couldn't hold all the surplus women that generation. So now there are two convents, one runs the Merchant church, the other the Peasant church. Elizabeth Nero (you may remember her as the mother of all those Nero girls, who was cast off by her husband for not producing an heir) is the Mother Superior at the first convent, while Roberta Nordstrom holds that position in the other. Between the two, there are a total of 11 nuns in residence.
Finally, we have the first Peasant family: the Potters. The patriarch of the Potter family, Joshua, is amazingly still alive and well. His oldest son Henry is now the head of household though. Henry is married to Diana and the couple welcomed their third son this round (Donald, Miles, and Oscar). They will have their fourth child next round. With both Joshua and Henry working, the Potters aren't doing too badly, but they'll be running out of beds in the near future.
That was a lot for one day! Up next: the Petersons. Happy Simming!

Today we have the Moores who are Merchants. The heir, Daniel, is married to Rebecca and they have three children so far: Charlotte, Luke, and Thomas, who was just born this round. They will be expecting their fourth child next round. Daniel owns a fairly successful flower shop which he inherited from his father. He almost always runs out of stock before closing time. Rebecca had a pretty rough time keeping up with the house and the children while also being pregnant. I'm sure she'll be happy to learn that this baby is her last. Now that Charlotte is old enough to help out, she's at least been able to get a little rest.
Next up is another Merchant family, also the Moores, Daniel's brother Matthew and his wife Meredythe. Matthew and Meredythe also have three children, Elvin, Jillian, and Leigh. They are also expecting number four. Their shop is a bit different. It's a bakery, which means Meredythe must participate more in the business, as she's the only one with any cooking skill. Easier said than done with all her other responsibilities so the shop is only running part time right now while Matthew works a traditional job. Hopefully, once the baby is born, Meredythe will have more energy to devote to baking.
That's it for today. Next up, yet another Moore family. Happy Simming!

Today we have an update on the Monastery, which currently only has one monk (I guess since he's by default the leader, that makes him the priest), Father Ian McMahon. Since men have more options than women for the most part, I don't tend to have many monks as it's a last resort for them. The monks live quiet lives of solitude and study. They grow their own food and are supported financially by the people of the kingdom. The monks' church is patronized by the Royals and Nobles, so there's a decent amount of income coming in, particularly with only one monk/priest to support at the moment.
Over at the McMahon house, Ian's older brother Adam is the heir. He is married to Frances and has four children: Chastity, Hannah, Gregory, and John. Since he is of the Merchant class, he runs his own (home business) toy shop. His son Gregory will be the next heir, John will likely start his own household and shop, and the girls will try to make advantageous marriages, though there aren't many Nobles available right now and they're related to all the Merchant class boys at the moment, so there's a good chance they'll end up becoming nuns.
Up next, another Merchant family: the Moores. Happy Simming!

The Nordstroms are the other Noble family. Richard and Mary were much more successful at producing an heir than the Neros. They ended up having four children since the last pregnancy resulted in twins. Their oldest daughter Josephine became William Nero's second wife, their son Christopher is the current heir, and the twins Alma and Roberta joined the church. Sadly Alma died not long after taking her vows, though I can't remember what happened exactly.
Current residents are Christopher, his wife Faith (nee Nero), and their three children Rachel, Christian (heir), and Destiny. They also have a servant Theresa Potter. Richard and Mary passed away a while ago. At this point it's looking like both girls will end up becoming nuns, as there aren't many eligible bachelors right now. It's basically their brother Christian, their cousin Nicholas Nero, or their other cousin Prince Arthur. Noble women don't have a lot of options in this society. Christian will be marrying a Merchant girl mostly likely, as all the eligible Noble ladies are either his sisters or his aunts. It'll be a while yet before any of that happens because Rachel's only just become a teen. All the kids will attend boarding school for their teen years before following their life's path.
