Pleasantview 1/31/26

Zack Tellerman (see PV 7/19/25), confirmed bachelor for his entire life, rolled the want to get married!!  It wasn't a specific want to marry Tamara, just the general one, but still.  I never thought I'd see the day lol.  Tamara has no such wants and continues to rack up conquests; she and Zack staved off the breakup for now, but their relationship is still on shaky ground, so I'm not really expecting wedding bells for them.  Jenna had a so-so first date with Stuart Picaso, Joy had a good first date (and first kiss) with Corbin Butler, and Parker paid the matchmaker $5000 for a blind date with Mari Alpha who, at the start of the date, he had 2 bolts with, but halfway through it turned into negative chemistry (I have no idea why this would happen??), so the date was a dud and also a financial loss (thanks a lot Matchmaker!!).  In the midst of all the dating, both Tamara and Parker scored promotions, which was nice.  Parker will finish high school next round.

At the commune (see PV 7/19/25), we had some small progress - Lynn had her 15th dream date and Sam made her first pet bestie.  Apart from that, everyone maintained the status quo.

Lisa and Shawn Wong (see PV 7/19/25) both worked and Lisa got promoted.  She started a novel about weather to earn the creativity point she needed for her next promotion.  Shawn worked on a logic point and got a bird.

Pleasantview 1/30/25

Brad Dreamer (see PV 7/19/25) welcomed his cousin Marvin back into the household, after Marvin's recent divorce.  (Marvin is first cousins with Brad's mother Myra.)  It will actually be very helpful to have another adult around to take care of Cody and the new plant baby Brad spawned this round, Becca.  I think this house was Marvin's to start with also, so there's that.  In any event, the only other somewhat noteworthy thing that occurred was Brad buying a vacation home in Three Lakes.

Wyatt Picaso (see PV 7/19/25) was promoted to the top of Oceanography; his new LTW is for 50 First Dates, which is unlikely to be completed, as he's a few days away from elder and has only had 3 first dates in his entire life.  However, I'll have him start working on it next round.  Meanwhile, Noelle had the grand opening of her restaurant.  Things were pretty chaotic, what with hiring/assigning staff, setting the menu/prices, and purchasing needed items (for some reason the bar that was already there did not have an option to set a bartender, but the new one did, so idk).  She didn't earn any money (obviously), but I think everything is in order now, so next time should be easier.  Next round little Lincoln will grow into a child.

Since we last saw Drake Dreamer (see PV 7/19/25) he's been turned into a vampire - just what I wanted, another elder vampire.  At least it'll be good for Drake's youngest son, who will have the benefit of his father's financial assistance while he's in college.  Drake's oldest daughter, Rhonda, aged up to elder and made the decision to adopt a toddler.  All these years, she's been married to her job, racking up one failed relationship after another; I guess she finally decided to just go the route her dad did and adopt.  Of course, as soon as her dad adopted, he found his soulmate and had three more kids with her (plus a bonus alien baby), so you never know what's in store for Rhonda.

Randy Lothario (see PV 7/19/25) earned a nice sum at the store and is almost up to rank 9.  Alvin is doing well in school and at work, but he's short one skill point to get into college; hopefully, he'll be able to gain a point next round before he graduates.  Heath spent the whole day being useless, getting in and out of his coffin, until I was fed up with him.  After the third time he got out of the coffin, at around 2 pm, I left him on his own.  He went outside several times and, even though I threw him a bone by directing him to eat leftovers, he continued to be foolish enough times that he died about an hour before sundown.  I'm choosing to see it as Heath just being fed up with eternal life - maybe it's not all it's cracked up to be.  In any event, life will go on.  Randy is only about halfway through adulthood, so he's got plenty of time left to lead a fulfilling life.

Pleasantview 1/29/26

Paige Bruty (see PV 7/19/25) took a day off from work to care for the little ones and work on her last charisma point.  Lee went to work in hopes of being promoted, but a bad chance card got him demoted instead.  The twins graduated high school; Nicole is off to SSU, where she'll pursue her degree for Architecture, while Jonah will be getting his own place and looking for a job in Culinary.  Both of the younger kids aged up as well, shifting out of the tiny nursery they shared and taking over the twins' bedrooms.  Next round will be a lot calmer, and with the kids now able to go, I think it might finally be time for that mountain vacation Paige has been wanting.

Marvin and Vyn Gieke (see PV 7/19/25) did, in fact, split up; Marvin will move back in with his cousin (?? I think lol) Brad Dreamer.  Vyn will be staying here with the kids.  She already has a number of romantic prospects, so we'll see where that goes.  Marvin had an outing before he moved out and spontaneously fell in love with townie, Jill Fleig, so he'll be pursuing that most likely.

For some reason (probably because he was boring and nothing happened lol), I forgot to write about Toby Bruenig last round.  I don't remember what happened, so we'll just move on to this round, in which Toby had a date with Aiyana Gray, but is still non-committal when it comes to moving in together.  He also was re-hired in Oceanography and will, of course, immediately have two days off.  This is going to put his finances in dire straits; I'm not sure he'll be able to come up with the rent come Monday.  Stay tuned.

Tessa Ramirez (see PV 7/19/25) and her mother Lisa ran the furniture store as usual.  Later that night, Tessa gave birth to twins, who she summarily handed over to the orphanage as planned.

Pleasantview 1/6/26

Myra Dreamer's clan (see PV 7/15/25) is finally making some headway financially.  Ethan got promoted, as did both the pets.  Taylor was easily able to fund his degree, and finished half of it already, thanks to not needing to sleep.  He also felt the time was right to become a father and spawned a plant baby named Madison.  Because of the nature of plant sims, Myra is now a great-grandmother, Ethan is a grandfather, and Caryl (who is still a teenager) is actually Madison's great-aunt!! 😄  In other news, I noticed one of Myra's former cats walking by (Violet was originally sold to a townie before I realized that selling to townies makes pets become strays) and decided to let her adopt her back.  Ethan might need a third pet to get his LTW done, if the other two get too old before topping three careers each, so it's all good.

Russ Bear (see PV 7/15/25) grew into an elder this round and rolled the want to get married.  I guess he feels like time is running out to meet Ms. Right.  In the evening, he went out with some friends and did some stargazing but didn't earn any money.  Luckily, he's still okay financially.

The Giekes (see PV 7/19/25) had a fairly uneventful round.  Agnes got a promotion, Myrtle had a date that ended in crush, and the dog was not returned.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 1/5/26

What a difference a day makes for the Landgraabs (see PV 7/14/25).  Caryl and Scott's relationship has been struggling lately and, consequently, they've decided to divorce.  While all the decisions were being made about who got what, the cat gave birth to two kittens (they also lost another of their elder cats) and Billy decided he wanted to go to Briarwood Prep.  So, at the end of the day, Billy has moved to the boarding school, Scott and Dustin have moved to a newly renovated duplex in town, and Caryl will remain in the house left to her by her grandmother, along with the four cats (one elder, one adult, and two kittens).

Lauren Todd (see PV 7/15/25) feels that her relationship with (married) boyfriend Joe Carr isn't really going anywhere, so opted to adopt a second child on her own.  She's got more than enough money to support two kids, but you have to wonder what kind of adoption agency would approve a vampire/werewolf/evil witch?

Zoe Picaso's (see PV 7/15/25) dog was not returned and is now at the end of her life bar, so I don't know what will happen with that.  In any event, Zoe went out on a date and, while there, purchased a fourth dog named Rosie, which she put into the Security career track.  Later, while stargazing, Zoe was abducted, so she didn't have time to finish skilling for the logic point she needs to top her career.

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 1/4/26

Orphanage Unit One (see PV 7/14/25) had five kids.
Maya Tellerman was able to bring her grades up enough to graduate high school, but her bad attitude got her fired from her job.  She didn't meet the requirements to be accepted into college either, so she's headed for the Homeless Shelter.
Mari and Olivia went to school and Mari went to work.
Both the toddlers are doing well need-wise but have yet to earn any toddler skills.
George is settling into his new position.  He's a Fortune sim with a LTW for Business.  He doesn't have any romantic attachments at the moment, but does have chemistry with a few ladies, so we'll see where that takes him.  For now, his days are pretty full with two toddlers to care for.

Orphanage Unit Two (see PV 7/14/25) continued with five children.
Jeremy and Beck spent most of their time on the playground out back; they're building quite a few body points as a result.
The twins grew into toddlers, making Merlin's job a lot harder, as Rachel is still a toddler as well.  Luckily for him, Rachel and Jeremy will both be growing up next round.

Kenny and Ella Ottomas (see PV 7/14/25) were uneventful.

Buffy Summers (see PV 7/14/25) FINALLY succeeded in killing a vampire!!  Her hunting expedition turned up Count Nery (who she'd already defeated 3 times and should have been dead already) and they spent the whole time fighting, which prompted him to come by upon her return home.  I had tried locking the vamps in a cage until the sun came up and they would just teleport out, no matter what I did to keep them in.  So this time, I came up with the idea of putting a grill inside the cage, calling the vamp in, starting a fire with my playable sim, and then having them run out and lock the door behind them.  This worked!!  Count Nery went up in flames immediately and died quickly.  Now I just need the Contessa to come by the house so that she can meet the same fate.  I realize the game will just spawn new Grand Vampires, but I'm just so sick of looking at these two!  I think they're the original vampires since Day One, so it's time for some new blood lol.  Plus, I'm hoping resetting the Grand Vamps will stop Vamps Gone Wild (at least for a while) because they've turned so many sims at this point that it's honestly ridiculous. 😒

Happy Simming!

Pleasantview 1/3/26

Erik Swain (see PV 7/13/25) scored yet another promotion and got the body points needed for the next one.  He and Tina also decided to try for another baby.  The family also adopted an elder cat, Kovu, from the adoption service and then, ironically, a stray dog came by that night.  Tina was able to befriend and adopt her (also an elder, Grace) as well.  Next round, baby Dana will become a toddler.

Both Amar and Melanie Kim (see PV 7/13/25) got promoted this round, so they'll be working on skills quite a bit in the near future.  Their relationship is on the upswing again, so it looks like they'll be staying together for the time being.

Sharlene Grahan (see PV 7/13/25) got a promotion this round and her baby boy Joseph grew into a toddler.  Claire had the day off, which she spent working on her GED.  In the evening, she went out with some friends to a club downtown.

Happy Simming!
