Fromrac 12/31/23 (Sanguara, Lunari, Felan)

 First Family:  Things have taken a romantic turn for the Contessa and Ben.  It's not that Contessa doesn't still yearn for her Count, but he's been gone a long while and it doesn't seem likely they'll be able to bring him back, so she's trying to move forward.

Team #1:  Steven was moved to the containment unit, where he ultimately gave birth to a male offspring who Afi named Shuq.  The baby was placed in the nursery, where he will remain until childhood.  Since Olha is nearly a child, Afi has decided to allow him to continue to sleep in the main living quarters.  Now that Steven has given birth, Afi's first task as Team Leader is to re-inseminate him.

Pack A:  Rose managed to catch a few fish finally and she noticed something very interesting - by day, Humans and Elves identify her as Human, while Ogres believe she is one of them, thereby leaving her alone.  However, when she turns into her animal form at night, she must be careful and prepared to defend herself.

Fromrac 12/28/23 (Ogres, OutKasts)

 Clan Gore:  Though it's still bitterly cold, the guys have made it through the winter to the first day of spring.  They're really looking forward to being able to feel their fingers and toes again.

Clan Ergo:  Grugg has really been pulling his weight in the clan.  This round he took down a Human (Isaac Mills) and an Elf (Baelri Sylnalyn).

Ergo/Tyler:  Carol Ann is thankful that the family made it safely through the winter and now that spring is here, she can plant her garden once again.  She wants to get it going strong before the baby comes.  (Which will be next round, fyi, as this household has the slow time glitch, which makes the clock move unbearably slowly, but causes certain things to be sped up like pregnancy, crop growth, and relationship decacy.)

Fromrac 12/27/23 (Elves)

 Fistaelas:  Selavin is furious with Raerlyn for ruining the marriage contract she arranged for him.  What is he thinking?  It goes against everything they believe in.  There's nothing to be done about it now, however, and she'll have to try to look for someone else, though who will accept him once word gets out?

Myuswyn/Raernesrahd:  The family is doing well and looking forward to the spring thaw.  Lytas heard that her friend Nimrae's marriage contract fell through and she's wondering if she should speak to her about a contract with Lytas' oldest son Shaaias.  There's a bit of an age difference, but for long-lived Elves that's not as much of an issue as it is for other races.

Fromrac 12/26/23 (Elves)

 Sylnalyn:  Nimrae invited Raerlyn and Selavin for the next round of courtship rituals, but things didn't go according to plan.  Raerlyn deliberately insulted Nimrae's family, forcing her to end negotiations on their marriage contract.  She doesn't know why he would do such a thing; it's against Elven custom to refuse to abide by the rules of courtship and marriage.  Selavin is upset as well, but knows there's nothing that can be done at this point.  Nimrae cannot accept a marriage contract now.

Fromrac 12/21/23 (Elves)

 Blood Fruit Farm:  Shaaias doesn't know what happened to the Ogre boy.  He seems to have disappeared without a trace.  He can only assume he died, since escape is out of the question; the boy was far too weak to scale the wall.  Questioning the Ogres is pointless - they won't talk.  In any event, another baby has been born to take his place, so it's not a huge loss.

Fromrac 12/18/23 (Humans)

 Dennis:  Rachel was harassed by an Ogre but managed to escape.  The fish shop is doing okay.  Plus, things have turned romantic for Brian and Cheryl.  They've both been lonely for a long time, so it's no real surprise that they'd turn to one another.

Lane:  Holly is determined to make her pottery shop flourish but, even though she works tirelessly, she's yet to master her craft. She's not getting any younger, so time is of the essence.

Fromrac 12/17/23 (Humans)

 Tyler:  James and Joseph have not seen the wolf again, but they have seen some interesting sights in the night sky, as they've both developed an interest in stargazing of late.

Mills/Ryder:  Robert was unable to run the bakery for a while because he was badly beaten by an Ogre.

Ryder:  Both shops are flourishing and the family has managed to escape any major skirmishes with Ogres.

Fromrac 12/16/23 (Sanguara, Lunari, Felan)

 First Family:  The Sanguara are getting tired of being cooped up in their nest.  They're looking forward to the spring thaw, when they can get out and perhaps do a little hunting.

Team #1:  Now that Afi has reached teenhood, he is undergoing training to take over the running of the lab and as soon as the elevator is repaired, Steven is to be moved to the confinement area of the lab.

Pack A:  Rose has found a place to settle down that's not too far from her parents.  She wants to be close, but she also wants to keep them safe...from her.  She tried to catch a fish, but all she got was some trash.  She'll have to survive on the little bit of food she brought with her for now.

Fromrac 12/13/23 (OutKasts)

 Ergo/Tyler:  Rose has been feeling angry and almost....savage....since she was bitten by the strange wolf.  She decided that the best thing to do would be to run away, so as not to cause any harm to her family.  She left a note explaining everything and went to look for a place to live on her own.  Though Carol Ann and Korg are devastated at the loss of yet another family member, they will soon have a new one, as Carol Ann is pregnant.

Fromrac 12/12/23 (Ogres)

 Clan Gore:  An elderly elf (Nimua Relanrah) showed up, trying to steal their genie lamp.  They disposed of her quickly.

Clan Ergo:  Luckily, the creek thawed early and Omaka and Grugg were able to catch a fish; unluckily, a group of Humans showed up and they had to fight their way out of there.  Later that night, Omaka received a message by way of a wolf from her friend Ekto Ergo, who is still a captive of the Elves.  He wanted Omaka to help his son escape from the farm, just as Omaka herself had done.  She was game.  She waited for nightfall, when the Elf would travel to Sanction to deliver blood fruit to the Sanguara.  The ogres were locked up, of course, but little Torpek was small enough that they could squeeze him through the gap at the top of the bars.  Once out, he still had to climb the wall surrounding the compound, but he made it.  Omaka spirited him away in just the nick of time before the Elf returned, none the wiser.

Fromrac 12/11/23 (Elves)

 Fistaelas:  Things are going smoothly with the marriage contract between Raerlyn and Nimrae.  Selavin thinks a spring wedding would do nicely.  However, since Nimrae will be bringing her two younger children into the family with her, she and Raerlyn will need a house of their own, as he has three children as well and they just don't have the room here.  Luckily, there's a vacant home nearby.

Myuswyn/Raernesrahd:  The family is still mourning Pyonna, but they did have reason to celebrate because Daelan became a child this round.

Fromrac 12/10/23 (Elves)

 Blood Fruit Farm:  Shaaias reached adulthood this round.  Since his mother has not arranged a marriage for him, he will stay on to run the farm for the time being.

Sylnalyn:  Naiesti became an adult.  Meanwhile, Nimrae's friend Selavin Fistaelas contacted her about possibly arranging a marriage for her son-in-law Raerlyn.  Nimrae is not opposed to the match, but they'll have to work out their living arrangements first.

Relanrah:  Nimua is becoming desperate to resurrect her son.  If only she can find a way before her time runs out.

Fromrac 12/6/23 (Humans)

 Dennis:  Brian and Shane were able to catch a few fish at the newly thawed pond before being harassed by an Ogre.  She got away unfortunately.  Everyone in the family is keen to resurrect Albert, but they don't have a genie lamp.

Lane:  Things are going well for Holly.  Her shop is running smoothly, the kids are pitching in more with the cooking and cleaning, and the Ogres are staying away for the time being.  She does find herself thinking about Ben from time to time though.  She knows he's out there somewhere, but out of reach for her.

Fromrac 12/5/23 (Humans)

 Tyler:  The Tyler boys are continuing to save up for the tavern, while also keeping a lookout for Ogres and strange wolves.

Mills/Ryder:  Robert asked Bonnie to move in since they're expecting a baby together.  She had some news as well.  Her stepfather, Brian, recently returned home after being held in captivity by the Lunari for many years.  He told her that as he was leaving, he saw a young man being led into the compound.  She suspects that man may have been Robert's brother Steven.

Ryder:  Sarah became a teen and baby Michael grew into a toddler.  Cynthia has honed her sewing skills and has begun creating her own designs.  She plans to sell some of her custom clothing in the shop.

Fromrac 12/4/23 (Sanguara, Lunari)

 First Family:  Contessa is not happy about the loss of the Mortosa who lived nearby.  She was always happy to do the gardening for them in exchange for a few scraps of food.

Team #1:  Steven is settling into a routine, but he senses that a big change is coming in the near future.  He fears his relative freedom will soon be taken from him.

Fromrac 12/3/23 (Ogres, OutKasts)

 Clan Gore:  Swamplouse became and elder and almost froze to death, but Hiroki and Thok managed to get him warmed up in time.

Clan Ergo:  Omaka and Grugg became elder and teen, respectively.  Now if the weather will continue to be mild and their food holds out, they might just get everyone through the winter.

Ergo/Tyler:  Korg wasted no time in bringing Carol Ann and Peggy back.  Carol Ann wanted to celebrate her new lease on life by getting married.  Ogres don't usually do that sort of thing, but Korg agreed in order to make her happy.  Shortly thereafter, Korg became an elder.  Rose couldn't sleep and went outside in the middle of the night, where she encountered a wolf with glowing eyes.  She befriended the odd wolf, but he bit her anyway.  Ever since, she's been feeling quite strange...

 Fistaelas:  Raerlyn is convinced they'll be gifted with a genie lamp to bring Sumrahd back once again, but Selavin is not so sure.  As much as she would like to be reunited with her daughter, she thinks it might be time for Raerlyn to think about getting married again.  In the absence of his parents, it's her responsibility to arrange such a match.

Myuswyn/Raernesrahd:  The family lost their matriarch this round.  Pyonna finally succumbed to old age.  She lived a very long, very happy life.  Bessan and Tholas are both keen on resurrecting her, though they don't have the means to do so at the moment.

 Blood Fruit Farm:  Shaaias is looking forward to spring because the Ogres are getting restless with very little work to do, and their fighting is keeping him up at night.  Once the spring planting begins, they'll be too tired to squabble.

Sylnalyn:  Naiesti is getting sick of winter.  He misses working in his orchard.

Relanrah:  Still no lamp for Nimua.  What must she do?

Fromrac 11/27/23 (Humans)

 Tyler:  James and Joseph got a visit from the strange glowing-eyed wolf that used to visit them in the OutKast village.  He seemed to be trying to tell them something, but they couldn't figure out what.

Mills:  Life goes on for Robert, though there's still no trace of Steven.

Ryder:  David and Cynthia became elders this round.  While down at her shop, Cynthia encountered the Mortosa who David had tangled with previously.  She got beaten up, but managed to take down the creature.

Dennis:  Brian returned home, now an old man, to discover his eldest son, Albert, had been murdered by ogres.  The family is still in mourning, but also overjoyed at Brian's return.  They couldn't believe what had happened to him.  Meanwhile, Bonnie and Robert have fallen in love and Bonnie believes she's pregnant.  She's making plans to move in with Robert in the near future.

Lane:  Holly still has her hands full with a house full of kids, a shop to run, and now wrinkles to deal with on top of all that.

Fromrac 11/25/23 (OutKasts, Sanguara, Lunari, Mortosa)

 Ergo/Tyler:  The family suffered a double loss when a spark from the fireplace set the house on fire.  Carol Ann and Peggy didn't make it out in time and perished in the fire.  Korg and the remaining girls are devastated by the loss of their loved ones, but they do have a genie lamp in their possession, so it might not be the end of the line for Carol Ann and Peggy just yet.

First Family:  Everyone took a trip to the blood fruit shop to refill their stock.  Contessa was tempted to bite the few Elves who were there, but because of the treaty between the Elves and the Sanguara, she had to refrain.

Team #1:  Brian was surprised to learn that he was going to be released early, until he caught a glimpse of the Lunari's new test subject, a man who looks vaguely familiar.  He feels sorry for the guy, but he can't waste too much time thinking about him, as he's anxious to get back home to his family.

Clan Ergo:  Hydera is miserable and lonely.  As much as she wouldn't wish her fate on someone else, she is sad to be the only one of her kind.

 Clan Gore:  The guys have plenty of fish on hand to survive the winter, and the cold finally let up a bit, melting some of the snow, so they're feeling hopeful they'll get to see another spring.

Clan Ergo:  Though Omaka and Grumus are still on a high from their recent kills, they're beginning to get worried about having enough food to survive the winter.  They have very little left and the creek has frozen over, so they can't get more fish until the spring thaw.

 Fistaelas:  Having lost Sumrahd to Ogres once more, the family is in mourning.  They don't even have a genie lamp in their possession, so it's uncertain whether or not they'll be able to get her back.

Myuswyn/Raernesrahd:  As Pyonna nears the end of her very long life, she's reflecting on the past and feeling thankful to be surrounded by family.

 Blood Fruit Farm:  It has come to Shaaias' attention that one of the female ogres is expecting.  It's excellent news - one more worker for the farm.

Sylnalyn:  As Naiesti nears adulthood, Nimrae knows she needs to begin making plans to arrange a suitable marriage for him.

Relanrah:  Nimua prays every day that a genie lamp will appear on her porch, but every day she's disappointed yet again.

Fromrac 11/20/23 (Humans)

 Dennis:  In the wake of Albert's death, Shane has taken over the family business.  Unfortunately, he's not a very good fisherman, so he wasn't able to catch any fish to sell.  He won't have much time to practice either, since the pond will soon freeze over.

Lane:  Life goes on for the Lane family.  Holly is exhausted most days; there's a never-ending supply of work to be done.  She'll soon be an elder and she's not sure how long she'll be able to keep up this pace once she is.

Fromrac 11/15/23 (Humans)

 Tyler:  James and Joseph moved into their childhood home.  They plan to open a tavern as soon as they save enough money.

Mills:  Robert's brother Steven moved in with him to help out at the bakery.  The arrangement didn't last long, however, as Steven disappeared mysteriously one night.

Ryder:  David and Cynthia had a baby boy named Michael.  While David was working at the market, a dreaded Mortosa showed up.  He fought with her, but she got away.

Fromrac 11/13/23 (Mortosa)

 Clan Ergo:  Hydera Ergo was once an Ogre, until she was killed by Humans.  Her father, Ekto tried to bring her back, but something went terribly wrong, and she became the first Mortosa.  Now she lives in a desolate valley in Sanction.  Her daughter was killed, and her father captured by Elves, so even if she were accepted back into her Ogre clan, she'd have no remaining family.  The only race that can abide her are the Sanguara.  They give her whatever scraps of food they acquire, and she turns over any significant treasure she finds while scavenging.

And that takes care of our first round in Fromrac!  This is still a very new 'hood in terms of population and time played here, so I'm still formulating rules and coming up with new ideas.  There will probably be a few tweaks here and there as I play through more rounds.  If I make any significant changes, I'll update the summaries with the new information.  Until next time, Happy Simming!

 Team #1:  This is the first team established in Fromrac.  It's being run at the moment by the mother colony elders, as the team is not yet full grown.  Their first test subject, Brian Dennis, has been implanted three times, resulting in three Lunari offspring: Afi, Xesh, and Olha.  The subject is too old now to risk another implantation and will be released as soon as the oldest team members comes of age to take the reins and run the lab.  This round, Brian continued to fulfill the duties he's been given, in the hopes his captors will release him soon, as promised.  He misses his family terribly and hopes all is well with them.

 First Family:  When Count Timothy and Contessa Jenna decided to start a "family", their first selection was Beth Dennis.  Timothy used his undeniable charisma to lure her in and then gave her the gift of immortality.  Beth left her Human family and came to live with them in Sanction.  Ben Lane was their next target.  Jenna found him easy to beguile and he was theirs in no time.  They have lived in contentment for a while now, not feeling the need to hunt, but now that Count Timothy has been killed by Ogres, it may be time to strengthen the Sanguara forces.

 Ergo/Tyler:  Carol Ann Tyler is a Human with two sons (James and Joseph) and a daughter (Emma) who was the product of an affair she had with Ben Lane.  She used to be the town baker in the human village.  Things changed, however, when she met Korg Ergo.  Humans and Ogres are supposed to be mortal enemies, but Carol Ann and Korg could not ignore their attraction for one another.  Consequently, they were cast out of society and were left with no choice but to settle in The Outlands and fend for themselves.  They have raised Carol Ann's children together, and had three more girls together (Rose, Peggy, and Grace).  Korg's daughter, Khlega, had been taken by elves by that point.  They live in a spacious, though sparsely furnished, cabin with a small garden out back.  This round, James and Joseph became adults and made the difficult decision to move back to the human village.  Though they love their family and accept their mother's relationship with Korg, if they ever want to marry and have children of their own, they have to go back to their own kind because there are no other OutKast families.  Carol Ann will miss her boys, but she understands why they have to go.

Income: Completely self-sufficient community.  Must grow or make everything they need.

Marriage/Family: Marriage is allowed, but not required.  May have children as desired and if possible.

Housing: May be individual family homes or clans.

*The OutKasts are a special group of people formed by members of different races who rebelled against their communities and formed their own all-inclusive group.  They are ignored by all other races and treated as if they no longer exist.  They are therefore completely cut off from society and must survive on their own.

Fromrac 11/12/23 (Ogres)

 Clan Gore:  This clan is made up of Hiroki Gore, his son Thok Gore, and Swamplouse Oreg.  Hiroki was actually killed by humans and later resurrected.  His other two clanmates have managed to escape that fate, but surviving the winter is a challenge all on its own.  Since ogres have no permanent shelters, freezing to death is a very real possibility.

Clan Ergo:  Despite the clan name, this clan is made up of Omaka Roge, her son Grugg, her granddaughters Gorpa and Toraga, and the twins' father Grumus Roge.  Omaka was captured by elves and forced to work on the blood fruit farm for a time until she managed to escape and return home.  While she was gone, however, her daughter Hrrlaka was killed by humans, shortly after giving birth to the twins.  This round, Omaka went down to the creek to get some fish before the weather turns too cold.  While she was there, she encountered the human (Albert Dennis) who was responsible for her daughter's death and took her vengeance on him.  She also got into a skirmish with an elf (Sumrahd Fistaelas), who ran away, but returned in the night.  Grumus took care of her.

Fromrac 11/10/23 (Elves)

 Fistaelas:  The Fistaelas family is made up of Selavin, her adult children Kanuth and Sumrahd, their spouses Raerlyn and Vonanis, and Raerlyn and Sumrahd's three children Therspar, Ilzara, and Claoro.  This family has also been plagued by ogres, but with greater success.  Raerlyn, Sumrahd, and Vonanis have all been killed and subsequently resurrected.  They're just hoping to avoid any more skirmishes in the future.  This round they worked on artistic pursuits and tried to keep warm in a frigid winter.

Myuswyn/Raernesrahd:  This is a blended family.  The Raernesrahds began with Naivia and Pylyn, their adult daughter Lytas, and her two sons Shaaias and Uthlon.  The Myuswyns were Pyonna, her adult son Bessan, and his two children Reiel and Tholas.  The elder elves met and eventually arranged a union between their adult children, bringing both families together.  Sadly, Naivia and Pylyn didn't live long enough to see their daughter safely remarried, nor were they able to meet their new grandchild Daelan, who was born shortly after the nuptials.  Lytas' son Shaaias runs the blood fruit farm, but the rest of the kids are still at home.  This round saw the family cranking out many paintings; they're all really keen on it.  Pyonna is nearing the end of her very long life, but she's content knowing that her son is settled and happy.

Fromrac 11/9/23 (Elves)

 Blood Fruit Farm:  The Blood Fruit Farm is run by elves.  They grow "blood fruit" (i.e. tomatoes) to trade with the Sanguara in exchange for being left in peace.  Though the elves, being a long-lived people, admire the immortality of the Sanguara, they fear death and any creature that represents it.  Since the Sanguara often find it difficult to hunt, they are content to live off the blood fruit most of the time and they abide by their treaty with the elves and refrain from turning them.  The farm itself is run by a single elf, with the help of ogres that have been captured.  The elf has comfortable living quarters, while the captives live in a bunker adjacent to the fields.  They are compelled to work the farm by day, and locked in at night, while the elf in charge takes the harvest to a shop in Sanction, where he makes the blood fruit available to the Sanguara.  Currently the farm is run by Shaaias Raernesrahd.  He has the following ogres in captivity: Ekto Ergo, Gora Roge, Khlega Ergo, and Torpek Ergo (who is a toddler, born here to Ekto and Khlega).  This round, since it's winter, the ogres are primarily working on fertilizing the field for the upcoming spring planting.  Shaaias amuses himself by day and runs the shop at night.  

Sylnalyn:  The Sylnalyn family is made up of Nimrae and her three children Naiesti, Sehiel, and Baelri.  Nimrae would like to get married, but there are no eligible men at this time.  Her family has managed to avoid any skirmishes with ogres so far.  This round, Nimrae painted several masterpieces, while the kids (who are all teens) spent time on their various hobbies.

Relanrah:  The Relanrah family began with Garki and Nimua, their son Garlean and his wife Sehnes, and their two sons Kyyr and Lafus.  Sadly, apart from Nimua, this entire family has been decimated by ogres.  Nimua's only hope at this point is to receive a genie lamp that will allow her to resurrect her son Garlean to give the family a chance to continue.  This round Nimua kept to herself and focused on painting and music.

 Dennis:  The Dennis family began with Brian Dennis, his mother Mary, and his son Albert.  He quickly fell in love with and married Beth Ryder.  She and her daughter Bonnie moved in and Brian and Beth had a son together, Shane.  This is where things get complicated.  Beth's sister Cheryl was killed (by ogres I think?) and then Beth was captured and turned into a Sanguara, thus abandoning her family and embracing her immortality.  Shortly thereafter, Mary died and Brian was abducted by the Lunari.  He is currently imprisoned at the Lunari compound, where he's being forced to endure experimentation.  Albert and Bonnie were left to raise their younger brother Shane, though only teens themselves.  Around the time they reached adulthood, Bonnie's Aunt Cheryl was resurrected, and since her husband had moved on and married someone else, she came to live with them, bringing one of her daughters, Rachel, with her.  Talk about a blended family!  Albert took over running the fish market when his father disappeared.  This round, Albert went fishing, but wasn't able to catch much because ogres kept showing up and assaulting him.  He managed to catch a few and sell them at the shop.  Meanwhile, Bonnie went down to the bakery and met Robert Mills, who she has two bolts for.  Rachel wants to be best friends with Albert, who she's technically not related to in any way, so maybe when she grows up, there will be something there.

Lane:  The Lane family started out with Ben and Holly Lane and their son Luke.  They subsequently had five more children: Jake, Allie, Tess, Jenna, and Ella.  Ben also had an affair with a woman in town and fathered another daughter with her.  Around the time Ella was born, Ben was taken by the Sanguara.  Holly had to take over the pottery shop, as well as raise six children on her own.  On top of that, Luke was killed by ogres as a teen.  Luckily, the family came into possession of a genie lamp afterwards and were able to bring him back, though he's now the same age as his younger sister Allie.  This round Holly ran the shop and spent some time making more stock.  Youngest child Ella grew into a child.

*Note:  In case you're wondering, I play each family for just one day before moving to the next, as I do in many of my 'hoods.

Fromrac 11/7/23 (Humans)

 Mills:  The Mills family began as Cynthia Mills and her two sons, Robert and Steven.  When Robert was a teen his mother married David Ryder and they had two more children together, Isaac and Sarah.  They all lived in David's house along with his two daughters, until Robert grew to adulthood, at which point he moved into a house of his own.  Robert runs the bakery in town.  During this round, an ogre came by the bakery and was causing some trouble for him.  He wasn't able to catch her this time, but he'll be on the lookout for her in the future.

Ryder:  The Ryder family began with David and Cheryl Ryder, Cheryl's sister Beth, and Beth's daughter Bonnie.  David and Cheryl subsequently had two daughters, Rachel and Rebecca.  Beth married Brian Dennis and she and Bonnie moved in with him.  Cheryl died shortly after Rebecca was born and David married Cynthia Mills.  Cynthia and her two sons moved in, and David and Cynthia had two more children together, and are expecting their third.  Cheryl was later resurrected and moved in with her sister Beth's family, where daughter Rachel joined her.  (I don't really remember why I moved Rachel to live with her and kept Rebecca in this household, but I think it was because Rachel wasn't getting along with the other kids.)  David has a farmer's market and Cynthia runs the clothing shop in town. This round, David fought with a Mortosa, but she got away.  Steven became an adult and moved in with his brother Robert.

Fromrac 11/7/23 (Intro)

 Welcome to Fromrac!  This is a custom 'hood that is inspired by fantasy novels.  In this world there are nine separate races (or there will be nine, currently there are only seven, as two have yet to "evolve"): Humans, Elves, Ogres, Lau Kanaka, Sanguara, Lunari, Mortosa, Felan, and Outkasts.  Each group has its own characteristics and customs.  Some races are allied with each other, and some are enemies.  However, all races practice separation in terms of marriage or interbreeding (with the exception of the Outkasts).  They each have their own communities (three groups in the main 'hood, three in a subhood called Sanction, and three in another subhood called The Outlands).  I began with five families each of Humans, Elves, and Ogres and have played about 25-ish in game days. The setting is vaguely medieval, though there are some technologies present to facilitate playing. I should warn you that some races kill their enemies (though resurrection is also possible) so if that sort of thing bothers you, you might want to skip reading about Fromrac.  And I think that's about it.  I'll post a summary of each race prior to playing them for the first time, followed by each family's individual update.  So let's jump right in!

Megahood 11/6/23 (ALT)

 Boggs Hall Dorm:  Alexander fears he'll never find that special someone, as none of the girls in his dorm will give him the time of day.  He's tried joining in with their activities, but it's as if he's invisible to them.  Maybe he should just try to get through his final semester and move on.

Lam Plaza Dorm:  Things have been pretty quiet at Lam Plaza.  Lucia and Denise have taken up playing chess; the only problem is that they both cheat!  Shane made the Dean's List, but the ladies' grades were more mediocre.

Casteroff Dorm:  As soon as Simeon Curious moved into the dorm, he knew that Greek life was the way to go for him.  But why settle for joining a house, when you can found your own?  He found a great house on Greek Row and applied for a charter at the end of the semester.  He's now the proud founder of Oresha-Fruhm-Nagard!

Megahood 11/5/23 (LFT/SSU)

 Canyon Commons Dorm:  Miranda Pachis is beginning her first year of college.  It hasn't been super exciting so far, and she's worried about her little brother, but at least she gets to talk to him on the phone daily.  She decided to declare economics as her major, so that she'll have something to fall back on if the entertainment industry doesn't work out for her.

Tri-Var Sorority:  Jaya misses her sorority sisters and thought she might recruit one of the cheerleaders to join, but she wasn't interested.  At least she still has Chester, though they don't get to see each other as much as they'd like to since Strangetown is pretty far away.

Pinenut Plaza Dorm:  Montgomery finally settled on psychology for his major.  He thinks it'll be a good fit for going into the education field.  He also pledged Urele-Oresha-Cham and got in.  He'll be moving into the frat house next term.  Since he hasn't had any luck meeting any girls he's interested in, he agreed to go on a blind date.  The girl was nice enough, but there wasn't any real spark, so he's not sure he'll see her again.

Megahood 11/4/23 (Downtown)

 Ramirez/Hurt:  Checo was promoted to manager and to celebrate he brought home a little dog.  Joel has been wanting one for a while.  He name is Piper and she's their new baby.

Wan:  Patricia has been working long hours at the hospital.  She's barely had any time to spend with Knut, but when they are together the chemistry between them is intense - they can't keep their hands off each other.

Karana:  Utter exhaustion?  Check.  Nausea?  Check.  Craving grilled cheese for breakfast?  Check.  Yep, Vivian's definitely pregnant again.  Why oh why does she keep getting herself into this?  She may have to give in and move in with Buzz.  If he's going to keep knocking her up, he should at least take some of the responsibility off her shoulders, right?

Cordial:  Kim caught Buzz cheating on her with her sorority sister Natasha!  She's so done with both of them.  At least things are looking up for her on the job front; she found a job as a receptionist at a law firm.  Sam doesn't understand why Timothy hasn't proposed yet, or at least asked her to move in with him.  She knows it's pretty hectic at his place right now.  His mom's boyfriend recently moved in and her friend, who's been staying with them, just gave birth.  But isn't that all the more reason to move out of there and in with her?  Maybe when she tells him her good news, it'll be just the push he needs.

Megahood 11/2/23 (Downtown)

 Curious/Patel:  Priya and Pascal invited their families over to celebrate the twins' birthday.  Unfortunately, none of Pascal's family members could attend.  Priya's parents and youngest brother were there though, so it wasn't a complete washout.

Loste/Zarubin:  Things have been so busy recently that Daisy hasn't had time to work on her art, which means Keith is supporting the family solely on his income, and finances are getting tight, especially since the twins are teens now and want all the latest gadgets.  Hopefully, once Cam is in school, Daisy will be able to get some work done.

Broke/Caer/Aspir:  Skip and Olivia's twin boys (Dustin and Beau 😉) were born, with Victor and Susie's baby soon to follow.  Three babies in the house at once will be quite the challenge, but they're as prepared as they're going to be.

 Augustine/Gossamer:  Oberon was not thrilled with the idea of his mother moving in with them, but she really had nowhere else to go, so he's trying to make the best of a bad situation.  She has been really helpful with baby Ariel since she moved in and Elena is particularly grateful for it, since she learned she's pregnant again.

Grove/Summerdream:  Knut and Fae continue in their pursuit to "service" as many sims as possible, though they've yet to enter each other's orbit.  It's probably only a matter of time.

Peterson:  Jeff really wants to get into financial consulting, but opportunities seem limited at the moment.  In the meantime, he's started working at a gas station.

 Gale/Ejess:  Ana is still having trouble finding employment.  Luckily, Caliban is making enough to support them both for the time being.  She'd really like to be able to contribute though.

Arlecchino/Gray:  Hero and Grayson decided to use some of their savings to fix up the house a little before the baby comes.  It feels a lot more homey now and they feel ready to face parenthood.

Megahood 10/30/23 (Downtown)

 Smith:  Dagmar tried to work her charms on neighbor, Trent Traveller, but he was not having it; he turned her down flat.  With a bruised ego, Dagmar decided to stay in and romance her husband instead; at least he appreciates her.

Tricou:  Jennail and Kvornan welcomed a third son to their family.  They named him Jemon.  Little do they know, they will soon become grandparents as well.  Lisa informed Fricorith that they will soon have a little one of their own, but he doesn't feel ready for that responsibility.  Maybe when Kelton goes off to college?  

Zarubin:  Wanda is at her wit's end with these boys.  Not only are they still not doing well in school, despite her help, but they break things constantly and leave messes everywhere.  She's on a first name basis with the repairman and had to hire a maid to keep up with the housework, or else she'd never have time to anything other than work, cook, and clean.

 Traveller/Wirth:  Tina has begun doing some mime work at her birthday gigs.  She likes it, but wants to keep exploring her options until she finds the perfect fit.  Hannah is trying to break into the restaurant review business, but no luck so far.

Miller:  Opal feels like she's fallen into a rut - wake up, do chores, take care of her cat, go to work, sleep, repeat.  Shouldn't there be more to life?

Wolosenko:  Rebecca and Joseph had a long talk about their relationship and their child.  Rebecca agreed to let Joseph move in and help raise their son, as long as the issue of marriage could be tabled for the time being.  Joseph was overjoyed at the prospect; he doesn't know if it's all the hormones or what, but he really thought she was going the other way and was inviting him over to break up with him.

Megahood 10/28/23 (Downtown)

 DeBateau:  Armand is doing well as a personal injury attorney and hopefully someday that will parlay into a political career, but for the time being he'll have to be content with what he has.  In the meantime, he's spending time with Melanie and his pets and waiting for an opportunity to arise.

Patel:  Ramir made a catastrophic mistake at work which resulted in the termination of his employment.  It wasn't exactly his dream job, but still.  He managed to find work with a local sports team, which will have to do for now, until he finds something better.

Mendoza:  The dating scene is tough at Armando's age.  He can't remember the last time he had a date.  For now, he just has to trust in Fate to lead him to the woman of his dreams.

Dane/Capp:  Cornwall and Regan have settled the kids into the new apartment and adopted a couple of kittens to add to the family as well.  Regan is not particularly enjoying the commute to Strangetown for work, but she's trying to make the best of it.  Cornwall is looking forward to the birth of his next child, but really hoping it's not twins again; not only would that be difficult since the girls are still in diapers at the moment, but he's not sure five kids can fit into the one room, despite it being rather large.

Ejess:  Maida and Owen have both been focusing on their careers since moving in, but it's tough to get any work done with a toddler in the house.  Once Logan's in school, they'll have more time to put in the effort needed to get promoted.  Owen, in particular, has a long road ahead to becoming Chief of Staff at Sim City General Hospital.

Megahood 10/27/23 (Strangetown/Downtown)

 Caliente:  The Caliente household is always a whirlwind of activity.  It was Tina's birthday, but since they'd just had a big party for the toddlers and they had the headmaster coming to dinner, they decided to have a small celebration instead of going all out.  Tina was cool with that - as long as she gets the cell phone her parents promised her.  Meanwhile, Antonio's been having some trouble keeping his grades up since he started his new job, so Flamenco and Nighat are going to get him set up with a proper study schedule so he can get back on track.

Beaker:  Gundrun is taking some time to focus on her career, while Loki has decided to try to find love.  He hasn't had any luck on his own, so he called a matchmaking service to help.  He was paired with a college student named Tiffany Bensen.  Their first date was a little awkward, but still nice.  He thinks he'll ask her out again.  Soren is torn between two girls.  He's only recently started dating Emily Tinker, but he's incredibly attracted to Pamela Martin as well.  He doesn't know what to do.

Cho:  Etokas is sure a promotion is coming soon.  The bonus will go a long way towards getting him financially solvent.

Megahood 10/26/23 (Strangetown)

 Dottore/Woodrow:  Things are going well for Olivia and Cole - so well, in fact, that Olivia's been thinking about getting engaged.  Cole seems happy with things the way they are, so she may have to wait a while for that proposal.

Dreamer:  Given their work schedules are opposite, spending time together is a challenge, but Darren and Goneril are trying to make it work by squeezing in as much quality time as they can in between their shifts.

Salamis:  Both of Circe's parents have moved on from each other as if their marriage never happened.  It makes Circe wonder if true love really does exist.  For now, she's putting romance out of her mind and just focusing on her profession.  She definitely doesn't want to find herself in her parents' shoes one day.

Caliente/Go:  Dina finally found work as a P.I.  It's a far cry from the SCIA, but she'll get some practical investigative work under her belt.

Ramaswami/Kody:  Tiffany is so ready to give birth already!  She feels like all she does all day is travel between the bedroom, the kitchen, and the bathroom.  She's never been so tired and uncomfortable in her life.

Megahood 10/25/23 (Strangetown)

 Curious:  Simeon finally got back on track with his studies and was accepted to Academie Le Tour.  He's excited about college, but mostly he's looking forward to some peace and quiet.  Minerva hasn't been getting along with her brother recently, so she's glad they'll get some space when he moves to the dorm, though she's a bit envious that he'll get to have his own room while she's still stuck sharing with her three sisters.  Vidcund is looking forward to finally asking Audrey to move in and hopefully asking her to marry him as well.

Grunt:  Chip did indeed get that promotion and they used some of the money to rescue an elderly cat from the shelter.  Poor Maggie's owner was killed in a fire and she's been at the shelter ever since.  The Grunts will give her a good home for the remainder of her life.

 Tellerman/Specter/Raymond:  Nervous threw a big campaign fundraiser for the candidate he's currently managing.  Someday he hopes to be the candidate himself.  He'd really like to become mayor of Strangetown one day.  Opal works nights, so by day she pursues her love of robot making.  She's already made a cleanbot for the downstairs and working on the upstairs one.  Maybe if she works hard, she'll eventually learn how to make a servo.  Olive and Jeff are planning a vacation as soon as Jeff can get some time off from work.

Megahood 10/23/23 (Strangetown)

 Nigmos:  Ophelia went on a date with a cute boy she met at the grocery store, but it didn't work out too well.  They decided they just weren't a good fit for each other.  However, while she was hanging out with George, she met an even cuter guy named Noah and, though they didn't get to talk much, she thinks she'd really like to ask him out.

Delarosa:  Still no promotion for Florence, and the bills are piling up.  She tried to earn a little extra cash in a dance competition, but she lost to a pregnant sim.  Embarrassing!

Gieke:  Chester still hasn't had any news about his application to the military, so in the meantime he decided to throw a little housewarming party with a few of his nearest and dearest.

Una:  Natasha would kind of like to go out with Chester, but she knows he has a serious girlfriend, so instead she asked this guy she met recently, Buzz, to go bowling with her.  They had a great time, but there was this one weird moment when her friend Kimberly ran up and slapped Buzz and then left.  Buzz said Kim was an ex that couldn't let go.  Natasha tried calling her when she got home, but Kim didn't pick up.

 Norman:  Albany invited Melanie to a gaming competition at Sims Gone Wired (he won the prize money) and then they had dessert in the restaurant afterward.  He was too scared to make a move, but he enjoyed her company as always.

Capp/Newbie:  Kent got promoted to starter on the team and decided to throw a party to celebrate.  He let Calista invite a friend as well and she chose Cam Summerdream, who she's been besties with for a while.  She never noticed how cute he was before and clearly he felt the same way because things have turned romantic for the pair and they're now an item.  The party didn't wind down until the wee hours of the morning and, no sooner had Brandi and Kent slipped into bed, than Brandi went into labor, delivering a baby girl they named Amanda.

 Kim:  Robert is a bit confused by Sophia's continued lack of enthusiasm for having a baby.  He thought they were on the same page about having a family.  She says she wants to focus on her career right now and they have plenty of time to start their family, so what's the rush?  Their dogs are their babies for the moment.

Gossamer:  Things really blew up at little Rune's birthday party.  Desdemona has known for a while now that, even though her father forgave her mother for cheating on him once before and she promised never to do it again, she has continued to have romantic relationships with various other men.  She did not, however, expect Zephyretta to be so narcissistic that she'd invite all her paramours to her son's birthday celebration.  All hell broke loose when one of the men got handsy in the hall and she was outed, not only to her husband, but to all the other men as well.  Sprite asked for a divorce and Zephyretta moved out by the next morning.  

Ng:  Samantha has been trying to spend as much quality time with David as possible before the new baby comes.  She doesn't want him to feel jealous or left out; he's still a baby himself.  Alon is working on keeping their budget low, as they prepare for the baby's arrival.

Summerdream/McGreggor/Beaker:  Elvin and Erin finally got around to announcing their engagement, but they also had some other news to impart - they're expecting a baby!  Titania can barely wrap her head around the fact that, not only does Leod have twin siblings who are only a bit older than Ethan, but now she will have a sibling that is younger than her son and a stepmother who is younger than she is, not to mention her teen brother on her mother's side.  Her family tree is really starting to get warped.

 Mendoza:  Life really knows how to kick a sim when they're down.  First, Lisa had to pay a huge tax bill.  While she was Downtown taking care of that, she decided to go for a swim at the park, hoping to meet some new people.  No one acknowledged her existence, so she went to Sue's Secret Kitchen in the hopes of winning the cooking contest and earning a little extra cash to make up for the taxes.  She didn't win.  When she got home, Fricorith invited her out to a club where they had a good time - too good a time it turns out - because shortly afterward Lisa discovered she's pregnant.

 Monty/Goth:  Isabella and Patrizio were overjoyed to learn that Genevra is expecting their fifth grandchild.  Maybe they'll get a boy this time!

Weir:  Bianca and Connor finally managed to get their wedding plans completed and celebrated their nuptials at St. Guglielmo's Cathedral, with most of their family in attendance.  Now that that's done, Bianca can get some work in on her latest cookbook.

Smith/Zarubin:  Melissa and Rodney are both doing well in their careers, which allows them to pay down their debt more quickly.  Plus, once Jerome starts school, they'll save some money on nanny expenses, though they do both work in the evenings, so they can't get rid of that completely.

Megahood 10/3/23 (Old Town)

Lothario/Loste:  Kristen was thrilled to be hired as an EMT, even though the day shift is going to be rough for her with her "condition".  She'll manage somehow.  She'll need to manage more than her job, however, because Don was unexpectedly abducted one night and now they're expecting their first child before they've even begun planning their wedding.

Pleasant:  Kyle's birthday had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances*, but it will hopefully be rescheduled in the near future.  In the meantime, Daniel and Cassandra are settling into parenthood and getting used to the routine of feedings and diaper changes, as well as potty training.

*Kyle got glitched at his birthday cake and had to be deleted, which prevented him from being able to age up.  Hopefully he'll be able to age up next round, putting him only one day behind where he should be, which can be corrected by sending him to Uni one day early.

 Martin/Caliente:  Linda and Tango had twins, Kamryn and Ryan, and they are both feeling completely overwhelmed by the situation.  Luckily, they have two teenagers in the house to help them out.

Ottomas:  Dora and Peter learned that their dog Cleo is expecting a litter of puppies!  They're excited to see how the pups turn out and which parent they favor.

Teatherton:  Business is booming at Sarah's shop, but the slow season is coming.  In light of that, Johnathan has decided to look for a job; nothing too rigorous, just something to bring in some extra cash to get them through the winter.  For Rachel's birthday, Sarah and John got her a kitten and threw a small party with Alexandra, her fiancé Jerome, and Jerome's son Cam in attendance.

 O'Mackey:  Gabe is frustrated by how long the construction is taking on the movie theater.  There have been constant delays, with every little thing needing his approval, not to mention how expensive everything is.  Will he ever get his business up and running?

Chesterson:  James and Sally added a new kitten to their pet brood, which brings them up to 3 cats and 1 dog.  Sally is thinking they should probably get a puppy as well, just to even things out a bit.

Augustine:  Frida finally found a restaurant job, but she had to start as a dishwasher, which is not ideal, but she'll take what she can get.  Meanwhile, Jose is falling for Charlotte in a big way and, now that his room has been made over thanks to his father's recent promotion, he might just be ready to invite her over to meet his parents.

 Roth:  Sara is worried that Shane is not social enough.  He only has one friend and doesn't go out on dates or anything.  Shane thinks his mother is being hypocritical, given she doesn't go out at all either.

Shikibu/Martin:  Cleo went into labor one afternoon while everyone else was at work.  Luckily, there were no complications with the birth and their baby girl was delivered safely.  They decided to name her Bailey and converted Lucia's old room into a nursery.  Now if only Cleo could find work, life would be perfect.

 McGreggor:  Donald and Fiona are in the home stretch as the twins approach school age.  If they can just manage to make it through potty training, they'll be home free, at least until the teen mood swings begin.

Goldstein/Viejo:  Betty has begun working on her next book which focuses on the life cycle of a womrat.  Julio keeps the household running like a well-oiled machine.  He's on top of repairs and cleaning, as well as Charlotte's schoolwork and Margarita's potty training.  Catherine's at a bit of a loss at the moment given that it's winter, but come spring she'll have plenty to keep her busy.

 Danaher:  The Danaher family is doing well and consequently, Marissa thinks it's time to have another baby.  Kacper's not quite on the same page just yet, so she'll have to keep working on him.

Vandermorgan:  Somehow, in the midst of the chaos of twin toddlers and two puppies, Jacqueline managed to finish the fourth book in her Seven Deadly Sins series and has now begun on the fifth.  The series is selling quite well and she's pleased with her work.

 Wan:  Although Pamela's demeanor is much improved, she still has difficult days.  Sometimes she'll wake up angry and refuse to go to school, leaving her parents with no choice but to call in a nanny for the day or take a day off from work, because forcing her to go to school in that mood will only result in an email from the school about her disruptive behavior in class.  Kayami and Tianrong are hoping that once she is finished with teenage hormones her outbursts will recede, but they've still got a few years left to deal with her temper.

Megahood 9/25/23 (Desiderata)

 Una:  As if their house isn't crowded enough already, Katerina delivered not one, but TWO new babies, boy/girl twins Anastasia and Ivan.  For the moment, the babies' cribs are in the hall.  They have no idea what they'll do with them when they're older.  Lukas will leave for college in a couple of years, but that still leaves Dimitri and Nikolai sharing a room that's barely big enough for two, much less four.

Wirth:  The morning sickness, the fatigue, the weight gain.  There's no mistaking it - Marian is pregnant once again.  Will she ever be too old for this?  This is definitely not what she had in mind for her retirement, though at this point she may never be able to retire because they need all the money they can get to support their (continually) growing family.

Megahood 9/24/23 (Desiderata)

 Contrary:  Emma had some trouble break out during one of her lectures, but luckily, she was able to get out of there in a hurry.  It would have been a great time for some upper-level spells, but she isn't quite there yet.  Talbot, on the other hand, is having more success in his career, earning another promotion.

Bell:  Issac is having some professional success, but his love life is still basically nonexistent.  He dreams of going on a beach vacation, but he can't afford it at the moment.

Mole:  Chaos continues to reign supreme in the Mole household.  James has been unable to get the new female cat, Minnie, to breed with his calico Myles.  Lucy's career is at a standstill.  Ann has not had any luck in training any of the cats to do anything at all.  Not to mention the house is a complete disaster as always.  The twins seem blissfully unaware of the tension and the mess, so there is at least some positivity.

 Jocque:  As much as Amie wants to celebrate Jasper's milestones of learning to walk and talk, all she can think about is the fact that she'll soon be doing it all over again when the next baby is born.  While she understands that Henri's condition makes it difficult for him to focus on his day job rather than astronomy, the flip side is that he keeps getting abducted and impregnated, leaving her to raise child after child, while he's forced to sleep 12 hours a day.  She should be looking forward to her golden years at this point, not changing diapers and potty training.

Miller:  Chase scored a promotion right away and decided to throw a big bash for all their friends to celebrate.  Sylvian Cho and Flamenco Caliente got into an argument at the party, but Stormy was able to calm everyone down with a pizza, while Chase turned the game on tv.  It was a fun night for all.

 Nejem:  The Nejems are officially "cat people" now, with the adoption of their sixth cat.  It's luck that Diana got a promotion, as they need all the money they can get to support their growing "family".

Wan/Jocque:  Dennis asked Ann Mole on a date, but she turned him down.  Disappointed, he decided to throw an impromptu party with all his friends.  Cynthia was not happy when she returned home from work to find a house full of teenagers eating the last of the groceries and leaving messes everywhere.  Dennis didn't see why she was being so uptight, especially since Marcel didn't seem to be bothered by it.  Cynthia knew she was probably overreacting a bit, but she didn't know why until later when she took a pregnancy test and discovered she's expecting her second child.

Megahood 9/21/23 (Desiderata)

 Grunt:  Buzz is enjoying playing the field.  He took out Kimberly Cordial and they had a great time.  Upon returning home there was another message from Vivian, which Buzz didn't bother to respond to because he was exhausted.  If Vivian wants to see him again, she's going to have to put more effort into it, because he's not about to sit around waiting for her call.

Capp:  Cordelia is having some professional success, though not in her chosen field, but her love life is still as stale as month-old bread.  She's living a pretty solitary life, but she's fairly content.  She'll be ready when the right opportunity (or the right sim) comes along.

Aspir:  Luis gave birth to a boy, Julian.  Despite having time to prepare for the new baby, the reality of having to do it all again - the diapers, the feedings, the sleepless nights - has only just set in for the Aspirs.  But they'll handle it the way they've handled everything in life so far, with logic, reason, structure, and stability.

 Caer:  Sullivan was disappointed to only get one puppy in the latest litter, but luckily, he was able to get a new litter going right away.  Tazanna finally got an opportunity to start doing restaurant reviews on a trial basis.  Her first one was a hit!  The Caers are finally out of the financial doghouse.  They're not rich, by any means, but they can breathe a little easier at last.

Curious/Almassizadeh:  Jenny has never felt this way about anyone before.  She is so head over heels for Renee that she spontaneously proposed one night and Renee accepted immediately.  Jenny almost can't believe it happened.  What's gotten into her?  She's always been one to play the field; settling down has never been on her agenda.  But things are different this time.  They haven't made any definitive wedding plans yet, but Jenny feels more content with life than she ever has before.

Megahood 9/18/23 (Belladonna)

 Green/Caliente:  While Nina still hasn't had any luck on the job front, Gabriel got promoted right away, which is a good thing considering he also got abducted and inseminated that very same night.  Looks like Fabio is about to see the first of the six grandchildren he's always wanted.

Riley/Pachis/Salamis:  As unenthusiastic as Lucia was when her son's middle-aged pregnant zombie girlfriend moved in, she was equally thrilled when Xanthos finally left his wife and moved in with her.  Finally Gemma will have her father around full-time and, in all honesty, four paychecks are better than one, so she's not going to complain too much, even if they do have another mouth to feed now that her granddaughter has been born.  Gemma's not too crazy about sharing a room with baby Taylor, but it is kind of cool that she's an aunt.

Mashuga/Matlapin:  Things are going well for Sylvia Marie and Omar, though no marriage proposal seems forthcoming, much to Sylvia's dismay.  She is happy for the fact that Omar and Joyce are getting along well.  Unfortunately, she's learned that Omar is no better housekeeper than she is, so their place tends to be messy.

 Loner/Tang:  Meredith scored yet another promotion at work - this time to vice president - and decided to throw a party to celebrate.  A good time was had by all, but especially by Madhuri, whose long-time friend Alon Goldman stopped by during the party.  They invited him to join in the festivities, of course, and before Madhuri even knew what was happening, she and Alon were kissing and eventually made their way to her bedroom.  She's never made such a rash decision in her life, but somehow it just feels right.  She's been alone for a long time and who knows how much more time she has to find love?  She's going to go for it with Alon.

Gere/Larson:  Chastity's fiancé Jason moved in temporarily until they could find their own place.  The original plan had been to move in with Jason's parents, but that's not really feasible in light of the news that Jason's parents are expecting another baby.  Consequently, the couple has decided to move to Desiderata Valley, which is not too far from either set of parents, which is important, since they just found out that they too are going to be parents soon.  Chastity confided the good news to her mom, but Gwen asked her not to tell her father just yet, as she knows he'll never go for another of their own if he knows a grandchild is already on the way.

 Weir/Langerak:  When all the servers came down with the flu at her restaurant, Martha stepped up to fill in.  It made for one very long day, but at the end of her shift, the manager offered her a position on the wait staff.  That left her position as hostess open and Martha had the perfect referral - her daughter Mary.  Manuel also had good news, as he received a promotion to Junior Executive at his company.  With all the chaos recently, Noah's grades have been slipping.  Martha grounded him until he gets caught up on his homework and gets his grades back up to par.

Peterson:  Melora has been making great strides in the scientific community lately.  She is working on developing new technologies for her company.  It's a lot of work, but Melora is just the woman for the job.

DeBateau:  So far, so good.  Beaumont has managed to hold down his job.  At this point Melanie's expectations are so low, that's all she can hope for.

 Wilson/Broke:  Trigger has started dating a woman named Celeste Enriquez.  Their first date went so well that Trigger is seriously crushing on her.  He just wishes his professional life was going as well as his personal life; he still hasn't had any offers to join a sports team.

 Cordial:  Danny got a much-needed promotion at work.  The family will never be rich, but they've got a fairly comfortable life and Danny wants to keep it that way.  Barbara is still hoping for another baby, but Danny's not budging on his stance about that.

Cleveland:  That promotion is still eluding Cybil, but she's determined to make it happen.  At least Martin is finally potty trained, so that's one headache she won't have to deal with anymore.  Alice met a boy at school (Austin Vandermorgan) that she enjoys hanging out with.  His home life is pretty chaotic (even more than hers!) so they've been able to bond over that.

 Bear:  Tyler really wants to see Kendal again, but she lives so far away that arranging a get together is very difficult.  The only way to feasibly spend time together is to invite her to stay with him for the weekend.  He knows it's probably premature, but he has a really good feeling about her and thinks he should go for it.

Vandermorgan/Loste:  Things are finally looking up for Lyla.  Arty decided to move in with her!  And he brought enough cash with him to cover the bills, the back rent, and the taxes.  He's not working right now, but she doesn't mind because it means he's home all day to take care of Erik.  On top of all that, she got promoted to hostess at the restaurant, which means more money and better hours.  There's just one fly in the ointment - she's pretty sure she's pregnant again.  Although, maybe it won't be so bad now that she has someone to share the responsibilities.

 Cho:  Emiko was selected to perform as a pianist for the Belladonna Orchestra.  The schedule is grueling and Maya is secretly hoping this will keep her mother away from other "activities" that are not so respectable.

Karana:  The Karanas are still struggling financially, but they did manage to pay the bills, so that's something.  Aaron is very focused on his studies and is looking forward to going to college in a few years.

 Martin:  Joseph came down with the flu and had to stay home and rest up for a bit.  He rescued a puppy from the shelter to keep him company.

Contrary/McCullough:  Between a very lucrative commercial Edward starred in and both he and Angel receiving work bonuses, the couple's finances are looking very healthy these days.  Edward is anxious to move forward with their relationship, but Angel is still not ready to make a commitment.

 Rutherford:  Things have gone from bad to worse for Leandra because, not only does she have to deal with the constant scandal that is her son, but between the tax bill and an unfortunate situation with some lobbyists, their finances are on life support.  To say she's stressed out would be an understatement.

Contender:  Isabel is slowly, but surely, working towards furthering her law career.  She's made some contacts and spent time honing her craft, so she feels confident that it won't be long before she's made a name for herself.

 Baldwin/Shibata:  Ben and Benji have been working on getting the nursery set up.  The baby is due anytime now and they want to be ready for his/her impending arrival.

Gonzaga/Teatherton:  Ever since attending a wedding with Alexandra, all Jerome could think about was proposing to her.  He knows they haven't been together that long and that there's a bit of an age difference, but he just feels it's right. So, on the spur of the moment, he popped the question and, much to his delight, she said yes.  Alexandra moved in right away and proceeded to get the apartment in spic and span condition just in time for Cam's birthday party.  Cam's mother didn't make an appearance, but Alex invited her family over, so it was an enjoyable time for all.

 Mole:  John is living a pretty lonely existence at the moment.  He still hasn't found a job or any friends and, even worse, he just learned why sims are always talking about how terrible taxes are.  His tax bill took a huge chunk out of his savings.

Monty/Peterson:  While Claudio achieved another promotion and continued to work on the car lot, which he has decided to call Monty's Midnight Motors, Jessica turned her attention to the very important task of giving birth to her second child, a little girl who they named Brooklyn.

Jacquet:  Now that Gundrun's husband has died, Gilbert is keen on asking her to marry him, though she doesn't seem too enthusiastic about it.  It's probably best to wait a while and give her time to grieve before taking the next step in their relationship.

Greenman:  Rose dutifully paid her taxes and then Prudence came for a visit.  They bonded over grilled cheese sandwiches and had a lovely time catching up.

 Tinker:  Ron and Lauren welcomed their sixth (and final) child into the family, a baby boy named Michael.  Lauren is very glad to be done with pregnancy; the last few have been pretty tough on her.  On top of that, she and Ron are going to be so old raising this last one that she's worried they won't be able to keep up.  They'll make it through somehow.  They have a lot of help with the girls still at home, but that won't be the case for long, as Emily will be off to college soon.

 Zarubin:  Greg did indeed find a girl to date...Sharon Martin's sister Pamela!  That wasn't exactly what Darryl had in mind, but if his brother wants to date his girlfriend's sister, who is he to object.  They're twins, after all, they've always done everything together.  Well, almost everything.  Late one night when Darryl was stargazing, he had a very weird experience that he hasn't told anyone about.  Thankfully, since he's still young, there won't be any lasting repercussions.

 Larson:  Jodie settled right back into her childhood home and began a career in astronomy.  She's still dating Vince and hoping it turns into something serious.  Paige is thrilled to have her big sister home at last; finally, they'll have a chance to spend some time together.  Elise has been thinking about getting a job, but that might have to get put on hold since she's recently discovered that she's expecting baby number four.  Alvin is over the moon, of course, because he's always said they should have one more, but this is a truly unexpected development for Elise.  She's been looking forward to grandchildren, not thinking about having another one herself.  She thought she was too old, but apparently nature had other plans.

Newbie:  Brandi and Kent were the only guests at little Billy Newbie's birthday party, but he was okay with that.  Betty can hardly believe her little boy is ready to start school already.  On the other hand, she's relieved to be done with the diapers and the bottles.  She's getting too old for it.

Goth:  Mortimer has been getting a lot of writing done in the peace and quiet of the empty house.  Bella, however, feels much less productive without anyone to clean up after.  She feels like she needs some new friends or maybe a hobby to keep her busy.

 Bachelor/Jones:  Michael and Chris welcomed their son, Henry, amidst the chaos of moving to a new home in a new town.  It was a lot to handle, but they pulled through and are now settled into their new house in Bluewater Village, where Chris hopes to open up a second shop.  She's not sure how she's going to juggle her job, a baby, and two boutiques, but she's going to give it her all.
