I'm leaving Willow Grove now and moving on to Rainbow Falls, which is a very simple challenge that I got off TS2 Exchange a long time ago. It's basically just a competition between families to see whose last name prevails at the end. There's really not much to talk about, so I won't be posting anything about these families. I'll be back when I move on again.

Willow Grove 1/16/20
Karim and Hasan Nazari were uneventful. Karim has a job, but Hasan just hangs around the house all day. Nothing exciting.
The new residents, Amare and Zuri Kenyatta, have settled into their apartment and met a few people. Amare wants to get married and she has some boltage for Marcus Kristensen, who lives in the same building, so we'll see what happens there. I've got my eye on Zuri for Leo De Luca, although several other boys have been bringing her home from school and she has bolts with everyone it seems. It'll be a while before she grows up, so we'll have to wait and see who she likes, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Leo.

Willow Grove 1/14/20
I think Lukas and Nakia were happy about moving into their own place finally, even if they are still in the same building with nearly all of Nakia's family. In fact, the only one of her siblings who doesn't live in the building is Jamil, who recently married Lukas' mother. It definitely makes for weird family relationships since Jamil is both Nakia's brother and her stepfather-in-law and he's Lukas' stepfather and brother-in-law. Lukas' mother Frida is Nakia's mother/sister-in-law. Very strange. Apart from noticing all that, nothing really happened at Casa Kristensen. Lukas stargazed for about an hour one night, getting my hopes up for an abduction, but then he lost all interest in the telescope. C'est la vie!
Since Winona died earlier in the round, it means that Akule and Kala are no longer stepsiblings. At long last Akule was able to ask her out on a date. Their relationship was already so high that they were in love and engaged almost immediately. I still had to play through the round before moving Akule out since I like to keep aging in sync, but they will be living together next round and hopefully getting married. Brigid and Dyami continued to be super boring, so nothing to note for them.

Willow Grove 1/13/20
The round began slowly for the Akinas. They had a nice Sunday together, then everyone was off to work and school for a couple of days. Celadon was upset when he returned home on Tuesday to find their cat had died, so he decided to adopt a couple of puppies, one of which grew up in one day. The dogs have been a menace really; they pee everywhere and the adult one chews everything constantly. In fact, Winona was cleaning up after them on the last day of the round when Grimm appeared to take her away. Both Haku and Cel were sleeping and had no idea what had happened until much later. I was a bit surprised myself, as I'd thought Winona would outlive Haku. RIP Winona.
Nothing eventful happened for the Flanagans other than they adopted a puppy named Lucky.
Imani, Stefan, and Jelani Dimir were also pretty uneventful. Jelani may lose his job though if he doesn't pay more attention to his homework.
As you may recall, when Jamil Nazari was on a date with Kala Akina, he rolled up the want to marry his girlfriend Frida. I locked it in, figuring it made logical sense as Jamil is kind of a gold digger and he'll get more money when Frida dies if they're married. So this round Jamil finally "put a ring on it" and no one is happy about it other the couple themselves. Kala is basically out in the cold now, Ingrid is jealous because she's wanted to get married forever and has never found anyone, and Markus just really doesn't like Jamil much (maybe he knows his true purpose in marrying his aunt). So fun times all around.

Willow Grove 1/10/20
The Nazari clan has moved around a bit since last round: Kaden and Lulu swapped apartments with Nakia and Lukas and Hasan moved in with older brother Karim. This made Maleka happy as she's always wanting to spend time with her grandchildren. Unfortunately she didn't live long enough to see Kaden and Lulu's fifth child born. RIP Maleka. The baby was a girl named Poppy. During all the chaos of life and death, Xander grew into a child. By the end of the round, the twins had grown to teen, Poppy became a toddler, and Lulu found herself expecting baby #6. She now has the want for 10 children, but since Rylan won't be moving out for a while, it looks like there will be a break between babies for now.
Sabina Dimir is still hanging in there, working every day despite being in her seventies. This round she rolled the want for a grandchild. I wasn't sure how that might happen since Stefan and Imani seem content with just the one child and Sabina's other son Viktor has no romantic interests at all. Willow Grove 1/7/20
There are quite a few changes to report for the De Lucas. First the businesses. At Comandgo, Frida Kristensen unceremoniously quit because her pay dipped to underpaid for about 5 seconds. Matteo was unfazed as he has a waiting list of unemployed sims looking for work. He filled Frida's stylist position with Reilly Flanagan, Fiona's son, so now mother and son will work side by side. As a side note, I've noticed that every 2 to 3 sim days that the businesses are played all employees drop to "underpaid" simultaneously. I know that individual sims' pay will drop after they earn a skill point or a badge, but for them all to drop at once must mean there's some sort of time limit as well. Like after a sim has worked a certain number of hours they're due for a raise or something. I'd never noticed that before. Anyway, back to Matteo. Over at Fresh Rush he found himself with no managers, after having had two last round, because both of them died. Since Miki had also been running the deli, he needed a new employee to fill her spot and ended up hiring teen Jelani Dimir. Red's has been running smoothly with Kala as the manager, so Matteo hasn't needed to go in for a while; he just checks in daily and waits for his profits to roll in at midnight. When Comandgo leveled up to rank 4, Matteo took a money perk, giving him enough cash to purchase Pepe's Pets. It's a small shop so it won't add too many new jobs, but it's something different. Matteo ran the shop for the first day by himself, but at the end of the day he hired Lulu Nazari as the cashier. Next round I plan for him to hire a stocker and a janitor. Eventually there will also be a manager. On the personal side of things, both Matteo's "uncles" died, his son Leo aged up to adult, and his wife Helena's life bar is very full despite her being just over 60, so it looks like next round will be her last. Matteo still has another round or two before he becomes an elder, but when he does he'll be handing the reins over to his son.
Kala Akina's Spring started on a Sunday and, much to my surprise, she rolled a want for a date with Jamil Nazari. She hasn't had any wants for him for quite a while, so I thought she'd given up on him, but I guess a girl gets lonely. Their date was a dream date, but right before the date ended Jamil rolled the want to marry Kala AND the want to marry Frida. I was tempted to have him leave Frida and marry Kala, but I don't think Jamil, gold digger that he is, would pass up the opportunity to marry Frida, especially now that she's an elder and he'll get more money when she dies if he's her husband. So I locked the want to marry Frida and we'll deal with that when I get to their household. And so Kala remains alone, in love with a man who may never choose her and kept apart from a man who could love her back because their parents are married. It's sad really.

Willow Grove 1/5/20
Dyami Whitecloud and Brigid Flanagan finally decided to make things official this round and got married. Akule is still just the third wheel with a possible romance with Kala Akina brewing, but until she stops being his stepsister he can't pursue it.
Karim Nazari was super fast to play given that he worked every day of the round, but consequently most of my time was spent fast forwarding an empty apartment or a sleeping sim. Maybe it'll be more eventful when his brother Hasan moves in next round.
A new round is beginning and this time a new family will be moving to town: the Kenyatta family. Amare Kenyatta and her teenaged daughter Zuri will be welcome additions to the town, particularly with so many unattached males in residence. I have a feeling they'll be very popular.

Willow Grove 1/3/20
The Flanagans were pretty uneventful until the very end of the round when Reilly finally rolled the want to get married. I was hoping for a baby want to follow, but no such luck. Reilly also really wants to get a job and now that there are some openings he'll probably get hired by Matteo in the Spring.
Imani and Stefan Dimir were uneventful. Stefan and Jelani were at work/school most days, while Imani worked on her pottery.
Frida and Ingrid Kristensen both grew into elders this round. Jamil is quite a bit younger than Frida, so he has a ways to go yet. Markus seems to be happy just living the single life for now. With everyone working the house is fast forwarding a lot of the time, so it's a quick play cycle for them.
Kaden and Lulu had their hands full this round with twin toddlers, but it didn't end there. No sooner had the twins grown into children than their fourth child (a baby boy - Xander) was born. By the end of the round both their oldest son Rylan and their youngest had grown up as well (to teen and toddler, respectively). And as if that weren't enough, Lulu is pregnant again. At this point they've run out of room so they will need a new apartment immediately. I'm considering moving them back in with Kaden's mom Maleka, but that would mean moving Nakia and Lukas out. Maybe I could just do an apartment swap? Nakia and Lukas move into Kaden and Lulu's place, and vice versa. Hasan will be moving out to live with Karim anyway, so that might just work. We'll see what happens.
